Grace, welcome to the Hufflepuff Quidditch team! Sorry to have taken a while to process your audition... you really are very much wanted and welcomed!
Since neither Billy or Gavin are Chasers and Ally is inactive, I've put Ally as a reserve and promoted Grace straight to a starting position as Chaser!
Madam Hooch, Grace's positions are Chaser/Keeper.
Name of Character - Grace Hunter
House - Hufflepuff
Year - Sixth
First Desired Position - Chaser
Second Desired Position - Keeper
A rainbow intensified the afternoon, stretching its broad shape across the sky, splashing the ordinary blue sky with an array of colours and blends. Grace remained swaying on the short slope leading to the Quidditch pitch, her thoughts wandering as her mind focused on the beauty around her. From far below her, she heard an echoed smack followed by a loud yell; snapping Grace out of her dream. Someone had obviously been hit by a bludger, which was confirmed as she sprinted to the pitch and seen someone from the Hufflepuff team clutching a scarlet nose.
Her appearance briefly acknowledged by some tall boy from a higher year, Grace readied to mount her broom, grinning as the suns startling rays that had previously been shining directly into her eyes moved to the other hoops. She wouldn't have much of a problem monitoring the practice from her hoops now.
The idea of what she was to do wasn't spoken out loud, but was aware to everyone nevertheless. The Hufflepuff squad and reserves were split into two sides, and pitched against each other. She was to sit and spend this audition participating as a keeper, guarding her hoops from the opposition, and to grab her chance when it arised to leave her territory and briefly pursue the quaffle in her chaser position.
Her focus was to remain clear, her mind not to wander and her thoughts to remain gathered and correct. This strict concentration; as Grace flew from left hoop to right hoop, her eyes fixed on the game before her, soon paid off. After a flurry of activity from both teams as the opposition broke the halfway mark, and another blood-leaking faced player thirty seconds later, the quaffle bearing chaser was above Grace. Stopping only briefly to build power in the shot, the red ball was released from their grasp, and at an alarming speed towards Grace's right post. A flash of reactions and a whir of movement, Grace held the quaffle in the tips of her fingers, grabbed her chance and launched herself forwards.
An incoming bludger eliminated an opposition player to her right, and a quick avoidance underneath another chaser, Grace was soon past the halfway mark. Her heart skipped a beat, her eyes focusing as the goals became clearer, when her sight was unfocused, blotted with red as a dull weight made forceful contact with the side of her head. A shout rose from below her, and Grace's reactions took over, changing her direction downward, releasing the quaffle to a teamate and somehow making out them firing the ball into the goal with a ferocious hunger. Blood flecked behind her as Grace flew towards her teamate, embracing them as her love for the sport grew evermore.
