Congratulations! Welcome to the Ravenclaw team. You have been accepted as your first position being Beater and your second being Seeker. Below you will find your audition.
Name of Character: Celes Sorrenson
House: Ravenclaw
Year: 5th
First Desired Position: Beater
Second Desired Position: Seeker
The worst part of these sunny days was if fact, the sun. If the sun was on your side it could blind your opponents but if you were unlucky, your team would be blinded. The Ravens had such luck today. It was late afternoon and the sun was slowly setting but unfortunately the sun was headed toward the Hufflepuff goal. Every time the Chasers had the ball they would have to either squint and hope for the best or use an arm to block out the intense light. This unfortunately left them wide open to being easily marked or having the ball stolen from right under them. Thus Celes had been asked to leave the Hufflepuff Seeker to the other Beater and to try and assist the Chasers at all costs. More than once the Beaters from the Hufflepuff side had sent a Bludger at the Chaser from the direction of the giant yellow circle in the sky.
Celes found that if she was above the action and looked down on the fray instead of being on the same plane that she could see the action fairly well. Right now Ravenclaw was in possession of the Quaffle and was headed straight toward the goal. Celes stayed close to the Chaser with the Quaffle mimicking every swerve, turn or dive. She wanted to be available to help in whatever way she could. Not only were the Ravens against the Badgers today but the sun. If she could defend the Chaser she would be telling the sun to shove off. Things seemed to be going smoothly. A Hufflepuff Chaser approached the Quaffle but the Ravenclaw Chaser was able to shake her. Suddenly the familiar sound of an iron ball flying through the air whistled in Celes' ears. She quickly shielded her eyes and scanned the air for the oncoming attack.
On the horizon, Celes could see the smile of the Beater who just sent the advancing Bludger. It was headed straight for the naive Chaser. It was at the perfect angle so that the sun was in the Chaser's eyes and could not see the bloody thing. But he could hear it. He looked around nervously for the invisible Bludger. Luckily, Celes was at such an angle that she could see it. She lowered herself on her broom and willed it forward to put herself between the Chaser and the Bludger. "Incoming!" she yelled. It would be bad if he didn't she her approaching to defend him and he accidentally ran into her. That would be worse than the Bludger hitting him. "I'm cutting in front of you!" she called to him. He slowed to allow her in and then matched her speed. Now she was between him and the Bludger. Unfortunately, now she could not see it. Oh well, she thought. At least the Chaser is safe. She raised her bat. Waiting for the impending blow.
