This owl is mostly for the Quidditch team, but every Hufflepuff is more than welcome to read!

First up, we need more Quidditch players. Please take this time to audition so that I can get our new team ready for the upcoming year!

Second, if I'm right (and please correct me if I'm wrong), at the beginning of each year, players can adjust their 2 preferred positions for the upcoming year if they so choose. In that case, I'd like for the current players to copy/paste the following list and include their 2 positions so that I can keep them on record. I am planning to keep Beater/Seeker for Finn, but feel free to change if you'd like.

(PS... Are Sophia, Billy, and Sydney moving up a year?)

If that's the case, we are in desperate need of Keepers. I'll move Finn to Keeper if I must, but I don't prefer it. Thus, if you are at all inclined to be a Keeper, please let me know! It seems all of ours have graduated, unless Sophia or Billy happen to be Keepers, or if I've got something wrong.

Sophia and Billy both have Keeper as their secondary position. So I'd suggest that we put Billy as Keeper and Finn as Beater, especially seeing as Kathryn will be trying to play two characters in each game so it would be better if she only had to keep up with one very demanding position rather than two! Also, if we get someone entirely new (as in a member who isn't currently on the team) auditioning, I think that we ought to give them priority for the seventh slot on the main team and poor Billy go back to reserve (if the positions fit)... so as to fit as many actual people onto the main team as possible!

I'll be keeping Sita's main positions as Chaser-Seeker. I see that you've put her as the main team Seeker, Adam. That's fine and I don't mind playing as Seeker, but I do already get quite enough Seeker activity from playing Melody (it's my least favourite position!) so if anyone really wants the starting Seeker spot, I'd be happy to swap for being a starting Chaser. (I'll play in either position, wherever I'm needed in a game, of course).

Basically, we need more Beaters then. I'd like to swap Finn to Seeker since he has 5 exp, but I need a Beater to replace him with. I could move him to Seeker, Sita to Chaser, but then I'm not sure what Chaser I would move to Beater. Technically, if we do get another player, I could move Sophia to Keeper and hope that the new player is a Beater at that point, allowing Billy to be a reserve and preventing Kathryn from having to play 2 people.

Perhaps Lyli or Ally want to be a Chaser/Beater, rather than a Chaser/Seeker? Or... even a Beater/Seeker... No pressure to either of the two of you if you don't... it's just another option.

I think I'll make Lyli a Chaser/Beater. I didn't realize there were so many seekers :];; So with that said, maybe make Finn a Seeker (taking Sita's place) , Sita a Chaser (taking Lyli's place), make Lyli a Beater (you said you need more and don't you dare take Syd from her beater spot...She rocked in the last game :'D; and eventually get to where you can take Billy out and replace his spot with the future Huffle (I'd try and help more. I think I know two I can try and recruit...


Well, I don't know what I did, but I made it where everyone is playing a preferred position as of right now, (well, except if the new Huffle is a Beater/Seeker) but we will need to make sure we get the new Huffle in order to have this as a possibility. And note: I know it may not be good, but I tried :'D;;

It doesn't have to be anything fantastic, since I already have a good feel for your level of writing, and I have no doubt in your ability. I'd love for you to be able to be on the team for the game, so I hope you find the time to throw together a quick audition. If not, that's cool. I understand.

I should be around for all of the game! It may be that I'll have to get some help with Hooch to keep things going (I'll be playing Melody as well so doing all three may get a bit much at times), but I'll definitely be here with Sita.

*puts on Hooch hat* That's correct, new players that join the team while a match is actually being played aren't allowed to play in that match. As far as I remember, I did allow a bit of grace period during the first days of the Raven-Slyth match, because I didn't give their teams very long to get ready for the last match. Hufflepuff & Gryffindor are going to have had about three weeks to prepare, though, so I don't think that it'd be justified to allow one this time. So try to audition before the game starts, Grace, if you can... but I do understand how stressful and time-consuming mocks are and those are the most important things for you to focus on. *huggles*
