Plot Summary

Luke Dallan, a Hufflepuff trying to get over his ex-girlfriend, and Zara Phoenix, a Gryffindor looking for more in life, share one thing in common: their love for Quidditch. Only Zara and Luke seem to understand in one another that sensational feeling when one rises in the air, freefalling and diving through the sky like a free bird. A friendship immediately blossoms when the two meet coincidentally on the Quidditch pitch one evening, and soon Luke and Zara find a confidante in one another. But will Caitlin Martinez, Zara's fellow Gryffindor classmate and Luke's ex, have something more to say about their budding relationship?

However, misfortune strikes Luke in the harshest of ways, and soon he discovers he can't fly unaided anymore. Will he begin to push Zara away because of his resentment, after how close they have grown to one another? Will Zara fight it, or will she let the one bond she has finally managed to make with a boy be broken just as quickly as it had formed? And can Luke fly home alone, or will Zara be able to lift him up, and enable him to fly without wings?
