Plot Summary: Brantley Chapman is a romantic. He lives his life by writing and riding his horses. He isn’t a very outgoing person but he is friendly. Jasmine Anderson isn’t as much of a romantic but she is looking for that one true love. They meet when Jasmine is getting ridiculed by some boys in the Courtyard. Brantley intercedes and they spend the afternoon, talking about love and horses and getting to know each other. A friendship is formed and from there it grows into something stronger. Sometime later on in their friendship, Brantley asks Jasmine to the Valentines Day Ball in a clever way and they agree to spend the evening together. Only, the evening goes terribly wrong and things get out of hand. Now, with a pressing issue hanging over their heads, Jasmine starts avoiding Brantley. It only takes a couple of weeks before Brantley can’t take it anymore. With a series of events that causes them both to wonder if there’s something seriously wrong with Brantley, they work through their differences and allow themselves to be happy with each other. But their happiness doesn’t last too long when Jasmine tells Brantley that she is moving to the United States with her aunt.
