Plot Summary: He was someone who didn't know where he was going with his life, she was someone who just wanted to have fun. Together, they made quite the pair. Vanessa Bauer and Jeremiah Baer met in their 7th year at Hogwarts, she a Hufflepuff and he a Gryffindor, and immediately they hit it off. They fell for each other fast and their relationship was something to be envious of. Toward the end of their 7th year, Jeremiah proposed and they started off on their lives together soon after.

Physical Description: Vanessa has long black hair that reaches to her mid back when she lets it hang loose. It curls slightly at the ends, and is only completely straight when she straightens it, which is rarely ever. She believes that looking natural is the best thing to do if you want to impress someone or look beautiful. She doesn't wear too much make-up, and if she does; it's natural colours and light glosses. Vanessa has deep brown eyes that contrast nicely against her olive coloured skin. She is about 5'6" tall and weighs around 120 pounds. Her style is rather laid back when she isn't in uniform. An old pair of jeans and an over large sweatshirt with a pair of broken in sneakers with a pink felt hat is something that she has been seen around in more than enough. Vanessa can also get rather dressy for a recital, which she has every time she visits home.

Biography: Vanessa Susan Baer was born July 24, 1981 to Carol and Lonnie Bauer in Manchester, England. She was the only child of the two, and soon after Carol found herself pregnant again. Only, this baby was not welcomed into the world because of a miscarriage Carol had. So, Vanessa remained an only child and would forever remain an only child unless Carol and Lonnie decided to adopt. Vanessa and her parents moved to a new place in Manchester when Vanessa was merely four years old. It wasn’t a huge change in her life, considering she wasn’t too old to remember anything. She was also never allowed out of her old house. Now that they were moving away from the busy streets, Vanessa figured she would have freer reign. She was wrong. She was very wrong.

In fact, Carol wouldn’t let her leave the house they had bought, even though they lived in a child friendly neighborhood. By the time Vanessa was 5, she had learned every nook and cranny in her house – and had found a secret room with a piano and some old furniture in it. This was where she had fallen in love with her music. She practiced every day on that piano, after she had finished her home schooling of course. And that was how she met Aryeh McKenzie. He was a boy who lived next door, one of four, and he was the musically inclined McKenzie brother. He heard the piano playing from the house next to his when he was reading some music, and he looked up to see a girl playing the piano – rather well and she didn’t appear to be any older than 9.

By that time, Vanessa had been playing the piano for four years without any lessons except for a few books that were in the piano bench. It was just a gift; one that she cherished and continued to expand on. After Aryeh heard Vanessa’s playing, he decided to see who it was that lived in this house with such an extraordinary talent. And that was how they came to be best friends. Carol let Vanessa hang out at Aryeh’s, but only on certain days and for a certain amount of time. When Vanessa turned 11, she received her Hogwarts letter. And a lot of family secrets came out. All revolving around her father’s family. Needless to say, Vanessa attended Hogwarts that year – with much complaint from Aryeh – and has attended every year. She wrote letters to Aryeh and sent them to her parents, considering Aryeh thought she is just at a regular boarding school.

Vanessa had yet to tell Aryeh the truth about her boarding school until her sixth year at Hogwarts. She finally told him that summer and he took it better than she had expected him to. He was actually very curious about a lot of things in the wizarding world and Vanessa told him as many stories as she could about anything and everything she could remember. Her mother had grown out of her protective bubble after Vanessa had gone off to Hogwarts and the two women grew closer and closer together. Lonnie also became closer and for once, Vanessa had the happy family she had always wanted. Plus Aryeh. How could life get any better?

Life has a way of surprising even the happiest people. Vanessa wasn’t expecting anything more to happen in her life. She had planned on graduating from Hogwarts, going to some music school, and then taking her music further – possibly becoming a music teacher. But then… then she met Jeremiah. Jeremiah came into her life out of nowhere, and she welcomed him. He was someone she could be herself around, someone who made her forget completely all the worries that clouded her mind in the usual days. Maybe it all appeared so rushed, but is there really ever a correct time to fall in love with someone? Vanessa fell in love with him, and so when he asked her to marry him – she said yes. Now, she’s engaged to be married and graduated from Hogwarts, working as an assistant healer at St. Mungo’s.

Physical Description: Jeremiah has the average brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5'10" and weighs 155 lbs. He usually wears a small grin with a noticeable dimple on his right cheek.

Biography Jeremiah lived with his muggle father in London his whole life, until his death of heart disease during the summer before Jeremiah's seventh year. Their relationship wasn't the closest, but they got along for the most part. His mother, a witch, died shortly after his birth due to medical complications that the muggle doctors were unable to take care of. After marrying his muggle father, his mother attempted to live outside of the magical world in an attempt to raise her children in the muggle world as their father wished. Jeremiah has two older sisters, Kara 20 and Sarah 22. Neither of them ever attended Hogwarts, so it was a surprise when Jeremiah received his letter of acceptance. This was most likely the main cause of tension between his father and himself, but over time his father did become better at accepting the fact that Jeremiah takes after his mother. Still, up until his father's death, Jeremiah never really did have the relationship he wanted with his dad.

Jeremiah's personality could have been summed up in one word: random. He loved to have a good time, and he was always trying to turn every situation into a fun experience. He would do the most random things just to get people to laugh. However, after his father died, he mellowed out a bit from the experience. Still, these characteristics lie deep within him, but they surface less often and only around those who he really feels comfortable with. He is very forgiving and accepts people for who they are. On the negative side, he can be somewhat careless and apathetic toward serious issues.

Some of Jeremiah's interests include the muggle sports of fishing and basketball which his father got him involved in. Also, he likes watching Quidditch but never considered playing it. Flying isn't his strong point, and he would much rather be in the stands boosting team motivation. He would however consider playing if he was needed. As far as classes go, he doesn't really have a favorite since studying isn't one of his preferred things to do, but if he had to chose, he would pick Charms because it seems most practical to him.

Entering his final year at Hogwarts, Jeremiah started to realize that he needed to take more seriously the road ahead of him, especially after seeing that things can be taken away and that life can change so quickly. He was still unsure of what he planned to do after graduating, but he had decided that the year would be a year in which he worked a little harder and would take his classes more seriously. Overall, Jeremiah was just searching- searching for friends, searching for a future, and just trying to find his meaning in life. Little did he know that the everything he was seraching for would randomly find him one day when he least expected it.

That everything came in the form of a girl named Vanessa Bauer. Ever since the first day that officially met in the library, what started with a casual friendship soon bloomed into a nervous crush. The more time Jeremiah spent with Vanessa, the more he grew attached. It wasn't until the realization of graduation and the possibility of losing Vanessa hit him that he did the unexpected- he proposed. Now, Jeremiah and Vanessa, having a few months to plan their future together embark on a journey. A journey called life that Jeremiah couldn't wish to share with anybody else.
