February, 2002 (2010) Bradley Jameson and Colin Morgensen are from two different worlds: one is a pure-blood wizard born and bred, from an infamous, wealthy and respected family; the other lived a Muggle life with little material possessions, but one filled with love. One does not know his mother; the other does not know his father. They met in their first year of Hogwarts and became rivals straight away, but this gradually became friendship - the strongest of friendships. This is their story; the story of how their friendship began to change. Signs of ChangeBradley met Michelle O'Riley in his second year, and found a girl filled with hatred and resentment. He knew she would one day attempt to exact revenge on him for what his father had done to her family, but he never expected her to try to do so through his best friend. Bradley won't stand for it, but Colin won't listen. The beginnings of cracks are starting to show. You Can't Argue With EveryoneColin wants to integrate Michelle into his group of friends, much to Bradley's horror. When he can no longer take it, he tells Colin the story of Michelle O'Riley, and comes to a startling revelation about his true feelings. Unable to accept this, Bradley leaves Colin with even more unanswered questions than before. A Little More ConfrontationBradley and Colin's friendship seems to have healed its cracks. However, as old wounds are healed, fresh ones are on the horizon. Upon meeting in the castle, Bradley finds out that Michelle still hasn't given up on bringing him down, especially by using Colin. Colin is steadfast by Bradley's side, but Bradley himself can't figure out how he feels about his best mate, and his inner conflict, coupled with Michelle's threat and worry for Colin, herald ever-present dangers. Don't Trust GirlsWith the help of Angel, Colin traps Bradley in a situation where he can't escape coming clean about his kiss from the blue. As Bradley struggles to unravel his feelings without losing control, Colin begins to realise the true extent of their situation. Both boys are left with a dilemma: to salvage their friendship, to give up forever, or to take a chance. As Bradley finally comes to terms with his true feelings, it's Colin's turn to make a decision that will change their friendship for good. TransitionBradley and Colin run into Bradley's ex, Georgia, in the Owlery, during an intimate moment. Colin has to struggle with jealousy, and it begins to dawn on Bradley that Colin might be more serious about this relationship than he'd initially thought. Colin tries to deny the strength of his feelings, whilst Bradley deals with his fear of changing his and Colin's friendship completely and utterly forever. No Patience, No VirtueAfter their most recent heart-to-heart, Bradley assumes Colin is on the same page as him, and takes a step in what he thinks is the right direction for their relationship. However, Colin is more than startled by this sudden change, and can't hide his surprise and bewilderment from his boyfriend-best friend. Bradley is left to feel rejected and confused, and Colin wonders what he can to fix things. Shared FearsAn anxious Colin visits his ex-girlfriend Laura after his and Bradley's unspoken fight. As Bradley gets more and more frustrated with their relationship and his own insecurities about himself, Laura attempts to show Colin how to do the right thing, whilst resisting her bitter feelings towards Bradley Jameson - the man who, in effect, broke her heart, because he took the man she loved.
