The Story of Mercy Street

It’s been mere months since the death of the infamous Ethan Jacobs. Everyone’s still grieving heavily on the death of such a beloved young man, and everyone’s handling it differently. Ethan’s parents keep their sanity by staying as far away from London as possible. They’ll do whatever they can to avoid going back home to face Ethan’s old birthplace and if that means avoiding Ezzie as well, then so be it. Carson, who was Ethan’s best friend, is dealing by simply burying himself in his school work and prefect duties and being there for his friends when they need him the most. Sure, he’s absolutely devastated about his best friend, but he feels there is nothing he can do but stay positive. There will be occasional moments when he blows up and goes to punch someone in the face however, but mainly he remains calm, what with his main 'button pusher' Hanson Fitson locked away in jail. Amber Hess seems to have forgotten about Ethan completely, for no one has seen or heard from her since the accident happened. The one who was having the most trouble dealing however, is Ezzie.

Ezzie Mendez had fallen head over heels in love with Ethan, and now that he’s gone, she simply does not know how to deal. She’s fallen into a whirlpool of depression, self-doubt, and anger, never finding a way out. She’s sucked everyone into her mad whirlpool, including her friend Casey. After finding out about Ezzie’s secret fight with bulimia, Casey abandons Ezzie, leaving her quite alone and very depressed. She finds that she has absolutely no one to turn to and no way out of the mess she’s gotten herself into. So instead of opening up to her psychologist like she’s supposed to, she turns to a rather rebellious and troublesome rock star by the name of TJ Turner. TJ’s presence only strengthens the whirlpool of worries and troubles, adorning it with drugs, alcohol, and other vices that Ezzie normally would never dare go near. Poor Ezzie is weaving herself a web full of lies and troubles, and it seems there’s no stopping her slow change into the new person no one but TJ (and possibly the media) wants to see her become. Will she figure out a way to stop the slow but sure change before the new Ezzie overtakes her completely? And even then, will those close to her be able to forgive her for what she’s done?

After literally being forced to spend some time together, we find Ezzie and Casey finally together again. Ezzie finally expresses her feelings about her life these past few months. Sure, she may have let a whole lot of anger out which is good, but that's only one of the many layers of Ezzie's problems. She's still got the media hanging around, watching every footstep she makes. She's still got extreme self confidence issues, even though she's eating once more. And then of course there's still T.J. Turner. Ezzie, Carson and Casey plan on going on tour this summer for Eden's band. However, what will become of the three teens when trouble rocks the boat? London is our newest arrival. She's Eden's true rival and will soon be Ezzie's as well. Pranks will be pulled, fun will be had, and all will be fine. But the subject of T.J. Turner still looms over them. What will Ezzie do when she meets him again? More importantly, will T.J's presence bring back that same dark side in Ezzie that he brought out before?

Every Girl is Entitled to her Secrets --Ezzie's big secret is finally revealed to the one person she never wanted to find out--Casey. After finding out about Ezzie's bulimia, the two get into a huge fight, and only God knows when or even if they'll ever make up.

Owner of a Lonely Heart: -- Ezzie is put under a verbal attack by her fellow dorm mates and readers see just how hard it is to be Ezzie at this point in her life. Now she's put under the pressure of her peers and there's no Casey to save her. Can't the poor girl ever catch a break?

Disasterpiece. [PG-13][/COLOR] -- Ezzie goes to Hogsmeade for more counseling, but meets a very special person along the way. A new side of Ezzie shines through to the world as she screams at the paparazzi.

Sunglasses at Night -- Ezzie and Casey have been fighting for weeks now, and it's taking a toll on Carson. In an act of desperation, Carson (with the help of AJ Murphy of course) locks Ezzie and Casey in a closet until they are forced to make up and discuss their issues.

This is [the new] me. -- Finally, it seems that Ezzie is starting to change for the better. She has decided to ditch her old and harmful ways and replace them with the ways of a responsible teen idol, much like Eden Sweden. Ezzie tries to explain this in an interview with The Daily Prophet, but will the sudden arrival of a certain TJ Turner contradict her story?

And Before we Part... -- Now friends once more, Casey, Carson, and Ezzie make their journey home on the Hogwarts Express, planning for the big tour which will begin later that summer. Casey is freaking out about her secret, not having told Carson yet. Carson is freaking out over not being able to see his girlfriend all summer. Ezzie is just in her own little world, daydreaming about her kiss with TJ. Goodness knows what could happen to this dramatic trio during the ride home.

We've Got the Party With Us: It's finally time for the big tour. Ezzie and Casey pack onto the tour bus and await Carson's arrival. Everyone finally gets to meet each other, and Ezzie gives London star a warning about her attitude issues.

Happy Anniversary, Ethan: And so the tour stops in the lovely city of Paris, France. Unable to put up with Carson and Casey's fighting anymore, Ezzie decides to meet TJ at a nearby cafe, but their lunch date is cut short when they run into none other than Holly Sinclair. However, TJ comes ready with an escape route and the couple head toward TJ's hotel room. The couple decide to make their relationship official at this point, and to seal the deal they decide to have a little sleepover.

Scandalous Couple Go Public!: Holly Sinclair strikes again! Holly's scandalous pictures hit the papers and her article doesn't play around. Holly makes various points that basically trash everything that Ezzie stands for, exposing more than just pictures. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and Holly's got an article to boot! This can't be good for Ezzie's reputation..

This one is simple. Basically, it’s here because of Ezzie’s desire to be famous and well-known. This desire has disappeared somewhat as the plot has progressed because of the abundance of attention she’s been receiving. You know what they say, right Ez? Careful what you wish for!

Now this one is a bit difficult. Personally, I love this song. It was placed in this soundtrack for two reasons. After Ethan died, many have wondered. What with the life he lived, where would he end up? It’s safe to say Ethan was never a saint, so you never know. The other one was sort of mirroring Ezzie’s thought process during This is [the new] me which basically says that if she doesn’t shape up soon, her afterlife won’t be too promising.

Another basically obvious one. After everything these characters have been going through, no one knows what to do or how to move on with their lives. Who wouldn’t do with just a bit of saving?

This was the song I based one of the more recent Mercy Street posts. This is [the new] Me basically just explains how Ezzie is finally finding herself again and how she finally feels like things are in place. No one knows if this feeling of completion will last too long, but for now, she just wants to be herself, and that’s what this song is all about.

Well, being that In-character, Casey sings this song as Eden Sweden, I felt it wrong not to include this song in the soundtrack. Essentially, this song comes from Casey’s heart and soul, and it basically just sums up the feelings Casey and Ezzie have for each other as friends. Sure, they may get into a few fights along the way, but Casey and Ezzie are essentially the ‘true friends’ that this song talks about.

This song was included on here simply because of Casey’s secret. She’ll have to work really hard this summer to keep her ‘Dirty Little Secret’, especially from the one person Casey loves the most. Will she be able to keep it a secret throughout the entire tour? One can only wonder.

This song symbolizes the trouble these three have gotten into these past few months following Ethan’s death. Ezzie especially has created quite a chaos for herself, and it’ll be a miracle if she can fix everything up and get her life back together.

I’ve always associated this song with this plot, long before a soundtrack was even thought of. It seemed that whenever I wrote about Carson or Ezzie thinking about Ethan, I would always think of this song. All Around Me symbolizes the feeling everyone gets when thinking of Ethan’s memory. It’s just so strong that they can just feel his presence surrounding them.

Bluebird has always had a place in this soundtrack. It was Ezzie’s first ever song. Even then, back when Ethan was alive, Ezzie had this very strong desire to leave the earth and all it’s troubles and just fly away and be free like the bluebirds that flew in the sky.

This song kinda symbolizes the more recent parts of the plot, right around when Casey and Ezzie were fighting. Both did and said things they’d regret later, and both ended up apologizing to one another after all the fighting was over during Sunglasses at Night.

The perfect growing up song if you ask me. This one is mainly about Ezzie and her self-confidence issues. We all know about Ezzie’s battles with bulimia and how she never used to like her reflection in the mirror. She’d always be looking at herself in the mirror, always feeling that same sinking feeling after seeing her own reflection, even when after all, many envied her true beauty. She is truly a Beautiful Disaster.

This one is pretty sad. It basically just symbolizes Ezzie’s feelings of abandonment. Ethan basically made her complete, and now that he’s gone, he’s left her broken. The song explains how upset she is at Ethan for leaving her here to suffer after his death.

This is another difficult one. Though, thinking back, it’s actually pretty simple. While everyone was going through such a rough time, it seemed like everyone had separated. No one was with one another, but everyone needed one another. Jaded is basically about how TJ Turner comes in from out of nowhere and does what no one else did for Ezzie. He was there for her.

This song is basically about the false sense of calamity that goes on during some points of the Mercy Street plot. Everything seems to be fine on the outside, but no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. Ezzie’s eating disorder is the perfect example of this. Everyone knows something is wrong, but they can’t put their finger on it because Ezzie just kept insisting she was fine.

This is truly TJ Turner’s song right here. Candyman is all about that strange power of seduction that he has toward Ezzie, making her somehow unable to keep away. He’s charming and flirtatious and so bad for her. But somehow she just keeps coming back for more. Like candy. You know you shouldn’t eat it, but you do anyway. It just tastes so good you can’t keep away

[/li][li]16-- When You're Gone -- Avril Lavigne

Such a sad song. It’s perfect for this plot, to be sure. This song pretty much sums up how upset everyone, not just Ezzie, but everyone is to see Ethan go. Everyone just misses him so much, and is simply torn up that he’s gone. A death is a hard thing to cope with, and this song does an excellent job of explaining that feeling only a lost loved one can bring.

More Cassie Steele songs of course! This one is pretty obvious. Ezzie wrote this song during "Don't Sell Me Short" and basically, it's just all about TJ and how great she feels to be with him now that they're "official". It's a bit too lovey-dovey for her style, as sh mentions herself, but she does feel it's the perfect song to describe what she's feeling. [/size][/blockquote]

Mercy Street Continues…

Hogwarts is in for some trouble as our four teen idols enter their next year at school. Ezzie is the happiest she’s ever been since Ethan’s death, especially with TJ around to brighten her spirits. Carson is dealing, though his issues with his sister’s pregnancy and Casey’s little identity crisis, he’s pretty on edge. Things seemed to have calmed down, but everyone—Casey especially—is in for one wild ride. As the school year begins, Ezzie finds out that TJ will indeed be returning to Hogwarts for his final year and she couldn’t be more ecstatic. Their relationship goes extremely public, making the media hungry for more juicy Ezzie-TJ drama. However, now that Ezzie’s eating disorder seems to be decently in check, it’s our dear Casey’s turn to see a bit of drama. She continues to struggle with her big secret and her real identity. She’s glad that Carson knows, but she is still hungry for more. She begins to wish more and more that the whole secret could be over with, and that everything will be out in the open for everyone; not just Carson to see.

After a few months of begging with her record label and battling the challenges that comes with a double identity, Casey gets her wish. Too bad she isn’t too smart about the way she decides to spill the beans. Instead of making a nice safe press release to the public, Casey decides to come clean the Ezzie way—by tackling the media head on and risking the safety of both herself and the friends that have chosen to protect her. The news about Casey’s secret spreads like wild fire and the lives of these four crazy kids receives a name from the infamous Holly Sinclair: Starlet Fever. While Mrs. Sinclair may just be the most evil soul to walk the planet, she does have a point. These girls and their partners have a knack for finding and causing trouble. How long will it be before this horrible ‘fever’ spreads and causes unforeseen consequences for them all? Will our four teen celebrities be able to handle the challenges that will come when Starlet Fever strikes again?

Potions Essays and Secret Admirers, Oh My! : Ezzie is on a mission to find out who her mysterious secret admirer is, but is disappointed to find out her friend Zeak isn't him.

Revelations : Discouraged by TJ's lack of communication, Ezzie develops a few doubts about her relationship with TJ. Ezzie considers going to meet her mysterious and extremely romantic secret admirer, but chooses to be faithful and goes to meet TJ instead. As it turns out, Ezzie's in for quite a few surprises.

Out in the Open : Ezzie, TJ, and Carson devise a clever plan to sneak Casey into her meeting with Scene Records without the press seeing, but when one smart reporter sees her escape, Casey cracks. Now everything is out in the open--there's no turning back.

Starlet Fever Strikes Again! : It's the day after Casey decided to reveal her big secret and of course, Holly Sinclair is all over this one. Sinclair surprises everyone by twisting Casey's story into making her look like a fraud and a fake. She makes many negative references to TJ, Ezzie, and even Carson as well. Of course this reputation corrupting piece was to be expected after Casey's big revealing, but that doesn't make things any easier for our four young starlets--Casey especially.

Mercy Street? : It's Valentines Day and Casey's birthday, and Casey couldn't be more ecstatic. Meanwhile, Carson receives a surprise letter from his sister in Portugal that causes him to be even more neurotic than usual. The gang has a concert to play though, but the night doesn't end there. Casey is in the mood to party, and TJ has the perfect idea as to where to go.
