Plot Summary:

Theo Darke and Lori Leigh have been best friends since they were born – on the same day, in the same hospital, to mothers and fathers who were also best friends. Growing up side by side, the pair have been through everything in life together and are inseparable. Gradually Lori, who could have any man with her stunning looks and intelligence, fell in love with Theo, and she was sure they were destined to be together – until he beat her to confession in their fourth year – only to tell Lori that he was gay. Heartbroken, Lori hid her love for Theo well and stuck by his side despite his sexuality, which became known to his classmates at the beginning of their fifth year.

Lori and Theo are both renowned for their popularity, despite Theo’s sexuality, which though he received some hostility for, most of his admirers remained loyal to him. Theo had always been well known for his charming personality and kindness, as well as having Lori Leigh as his best friend. Scott Ryder on the other hand is from a different class altogether. A quiet boy, he prefers to stay in the shadows with his few friends. He has always liked Lori, not just for her outward appearance, and admired Theo’s unlimited generosity, which he has observed from afar. However, Scott would never imagine that their relationship would be broken, even if they were not a couple. Lori and Theo were attached to the hip, best friends forever.

However, little does Scott know he’s going to be the one thing that will begin to crack Theo and Lori’s strong bond, and he won’t even know it until it’s too late.

Season 1: The Circle of Three


Theo and Lori have been best friends all their lives. One is gay, one is straight. But the latter is in love with the former, and this is when their friendship starts to break. Theo is ignorant and Lori is helpless, but she smiles nonetheless and Theo thinks everything is okay. What no one accounted for, though, was Theo and Lori falling for the same man: Scott. When Lori and Scott begin a relationship, Theo feels the loss from both sides; both his best friend and his secret crush are leaving him behind. Upset, he begins to distance himself from the closest people in his life. Theo thinks he'll never get over Scott - but next year, another boy in the shape of Oscar Flynn is to come his way, and change his life all over again...

Season 2: Love, Lies and Losing You


Entering Season 2 of Swing My Way, a new boy leaps into Theo's life - Oscar Flynn. Friendly and passionate, Oscar is exactly what needs to make him forget Scott and his relationship with Lori... When Theo and Oscar's friendship culminates in a heated argument because Oscar is scared about Theo's sexuality, Theo storms out on Oscar. Returning to school, though, allows them to reconcile, with Oscar admitting his feelings for Theo. The two begin a secret relationship, and Theo is determined to keep it from Scott and Lori. He is also worried about Oscar finding out about his feelings for Scott, but secrets never last, and soon, everyone's lives will reel from the shocking secrets each individual is hiding from each other...
