Sixth-Year Students,
I am putting up this notice about an Apparitions class soon to begin. It will likely be up by tomorrow evening (Sunday, 20th September), and will run for at least a month or two before ending so as many students can post, as I understand many members have busy real lives. There will only be one class throughout this school year, and I believe you will only need to post your attendance once. The post will give you freedom to role-play your character as you wish; there will be little teacher-student interaction, as in canon it would be a very large class (the whole year). Bring your friends - that will provide entertainment, for yourself and your characters. The more students, the better! Motivation to attend is the earning of house points (as you can see below, Huffepuff and Slytherin are at an advantage there). When your characters pass the Apparition test is completely at your own volition; this is merely the class that all Sixth Years would take.
If you have any questions, now or when class starts, don't hesitate to PM or owl me.
Looking forward to seeing as many of you in class, Elliot Campbell

Stephen is already of age and has according to my plot already been able to apparate since he turned 17 and took the test. But seeing as how House points are awarded...I suppose I can have him take the class. *laughs* Unless you have an objection to that.

If that's the case, his attendance would be completely unnecessary and rather odd! I assumed he missed the Apparition test because he was in Azkaban, but if he's actually already able to Apparate then no, he doesn't need to attend.

I figured it was one of those things you can have trained on your own as well as in a class setting. So I just had him figure go another way...I looked at it like Driver's Education...you can take it if you want, but it's not necessary to get your Driver's License (assuming you go through the same thing over there, if not then I'm just wasting my breath and will have to explain myself in the long run).

Yes, that's fine. Like I said, whether or not students attend my class, they can still assume their characters attended and later passed their tests (or perhaps not pass!). In Stephen's case, it's entirely up to you whether or not he passed the test with the help of school lessons. You never know, some pushy wizard / witch parents may have taught their children.
