Today, Tuesday January 22, 2008, Australian actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in NYC. I am deeply sadden by this news and have found the only way that I know of honoring him and that is by the graphic above. RIP Heath and let it be known that you were a great actor and deeply loved by your fans. MSN Article: Heath Ledger Found Dead in NYC Apartment

This is the first thing I heard when my mum cracked the radio on to wake me up this morning. I have to say, I have never woken up so quickly before. I thought I was seriously dreaming. In fact, I still think I am. I just can't believe it. I am really saddened to hear about his death. He was a great and renowned actor; they say he would have been even greater. It didn't sound like he had a very happy last few months in his life, and I really sympathise with him, and all of his loved ones. He will be sorely missed, as a father, friend, and prolific actor. I still can't comprehend it fully; I haven't really watched any film Heath Ledger has been in, but... I know he was (and still is) an 'icon' for girls around my age. He was a sex god ( ), a worshipped idol. He's been mentioned in books like All American Girl, and he was only twenty-eight years old. He had so much ahead of him, and it's really sad that this is the end of the road. It feels like something has been tragically cut short. But, I am sure, Heath Ledger fans around the world will mourn his passing and keep him alive in their, and our, hearts. He will be missed, but not forgotten. I personally admire him most for his role in Brokeback Mountain (having not watched the entire film, but seen many clips of it). I think he really did make a difference in the world with his short, but successful life. R.I.P. Heath Ledger.
