The older members of this site will remember Dragon’s Roar (I was going to put a link to the post, but I can’t seem to find it now! *looks frantic*), the podcast that everyone loved. After awhile Nokomis and I just got so busy with real life that we couldn’t keep up with new episodes and then Nokomis’ bandwidth was eaten up and she took them off her website. So, recently, I’ve been thinking about how much I’ve missed Dragon’s Roar. It was a load of fun to do and all of the member seemed to like it because they could listen to it while they posted and it kept them well informed. It was with this thought that I sat down with Jasmine and asked when her schedule would be clear enough to do another version of Dragon’s Roar. Now, this Dragon’s Roar will be quite different than the past one. The biggest difference being it’s on youtube. We’ll upload it to youtube and since there’s a 10 minute max rule, it’ll most likely be put up in parts. Also, it’ll have Jasmine and I as regular hosts with other staff members joining in whenever they can (Ivy’s mic is being mean at the moment, but if she gets it fixed in time for the podcast to begin we’re going to drag her to join us ). The podcast won’t just give you updates on the site, but it’ll walk through the plot that’s going on, and answer any questions you might have. You can send PMs to me or Jasmine with any questions or discussion topics and we will try to put an episode up centred around it. A new feature! If you have Skype we will be willing to take phone calls! It’ll be great, but you must keep in mind that these phone calls will need to be short and such with questions or whatnot because we do need to keep the podcast as short as possible (we don’t want too many parts!). When we have a set schedule, we’ll post it here and let you all know when you can call in. Again, you don’t have to, this is just an option that we would like to give the members to have them feel a lot more involved. Anyhow… Dragon’s Roar Podcast 2.0

_______________________________ This is an overview of how things are to be done this year in Dragon's Roar. It's just me talking and I'm basically experimenting with the things that need to be fixed so it's better for you all to hear or understand. I need feedback on this one, tell me what I need to change so I can make it easier for you all. (I've already gotten a few complaints about the white noise I have at the end... I'm sorry if I temporarily deafened any of you all, really I am) So, PM me or post here if you have something to complain about or comment on. Thanks all.

What's the difference between a sneak peek and a full length podcast? The title of course! Overveiw: -This Podcast is hosted by both Mack and Alex, yay! -We talk about house points and the brand new news scrolly-thing -A discussion on the upcoming winter ball (and a tangent on the size of Hogwarts) -We introduce the new DRAGON'S ROAR WEBSITE (and contact info: drpodcast@yahoo.com) -We discuss some of the current plots on site that you should look into -Not to mention a sneak peek on the upcoming main plot! oooo! ahhhh! -And basically a lot of short tangents and funny jokes! -We did mention the census but it was lost in ciber space...*shifty eyes* Have fun listening! _______________________________

It's really long if you haven't noticed. And we had some technical difficulties after awhile. I didn't edit anything out of this, so there are some funny mix up bits. But hopefully its all okay for you guys. Alex joined me on this one. You know what to do with comments or concerns. (BTW: If you have yahoo IM and are interested in keeping in touch with DR hosts, PM Alex Promise with your screen name so he can add you, thanks!)

Oh my gooooood. (That's "God", btw.) You (both of you) sound SO American. Now, yes, you are American, of course, but.... AAAH. AMERICANS! XD *still freaking out* God, if I could record my voice, I'd SO post it on the net for you to listen to. Oh, a rant between Izy and I about... spelling. Mwahaha... Oh whatever. Izy and I can go on and on. And Kat would interrupt. And Ting would bounce in and argue with me and we'd be this happy family. Hahaha. But good job. I don't have time to listen to it all, but it's so funny. I think we should all attempt to record ourselves and post it up. XD

Right, in British schools there are normally between 100 and 200 kids in each year. Our school is small, as there are 80 in each year. We don't have this 1000 kids per year like many American schools do...maybe just 1000 in the whole school. So yeah, our schools are much smaller than American schools. But Hogwarts is confusing, as it says it's hugh but if there's 5 kids in each dorm, thats 5x2x4x7=280 in the whole school, which is tiny. I just think there's a real lack of gryffindor boys in Harry's year. And, alas, Izy's mic is still broken . But as Viv said, hopefully all 3 of us will be able to appear on it...though I don't like my voice, haha. Speaking of voices, you DO sound very stereotypically American...just the standard American voice, if there is one. We might be able to drag Ting in too, though she's not a member of the site, damn her! And I don't have a mic, and I don't know about Viv, but I assume she doesn't, and Izy's is broken, heh. Anyway, I love this new Dragons Roar! I've just finished part 2 as I type this, and it's great . I shall now listen to the other 3 parts...I'm only posting now as to the confusion over the British school system. I can see why it's confusing to non-brits, but then again I suppose the American system would be confusing to many non-Americans, so meh.

I back what Kat said: Usually there are around 200 people maximum in a year over here. Our school is just ridiculously small in that there are only about 80 people per year (less, usually). The senior school Kat and I attend holds around 600 people... including teachers and then the junior school. The biggest high school you'll get here it about 1500 people altogether. I'm sure we can fix Izy's mic... Um... Um... about my mic... *cough* Confiscated by my parents after they caught me conversing with an American online friend about one/two years ago. Damnit. But I could ask again...? For a whole site of people to hear you... yup. Lol. Although no one here has ever caused me any problems...Hm... I think people would freak at our Britishness. ;D I'd just laugh to look at their faces. Izy and I would argue over each other - Izy would make some mature, serious remark, and I would make a jokingly cutting sarcastic comment. It's what I do. I'm also really happy, hyper and talkative. We could also blast people's ears out with our version of God On High. Izy needs to practise anyway. Not down a microphone - do you have any idea how awful that would sound?Ooooh, it'd just be so fun, Kat. WE MUST DO IT! *bounces up and down* Even if we dragged Ting into it she wouldn't say much.

Well, our school's a bit bigger than that! 80x7=560 seniors, plus 100 juniors, 660 plus around 40 staff, so more like 700 altogether . Ah, online friends...just fab . But I have no MSN at the moment...as the computer had to be completely rebooted, so everything had to be deleted, and now reloaded, argh. Yeah, that is so true! Having listened to all this Americanness (if that's a word!) british voices would be a shock I'd think, haha. And you would argue, and Izy would be the mature one haha. And I'd be like ...what the hell... haha. And yes, sing, freak people out like that guy at the bus stop that time, remember! And your India plot was mentioned Viv! Be very proud of yourself *huggles*. Only part 4 to listen top now...I doubt Forget me Not will be mentioned haha. EDIT: Yay, and your Ari/Jez/Tris one#s there too, w00t!

Very funny. I loved it. Even though I'm American as well, I still sound very different from you two. It must be the New York accent. I wonder if I could get my mic running again..it's kinda been collecting dust in the attic for a while.

Water balloons eh? -blue orbs glare at Damien- You even come at me with a pin you'll be wishing you never met me.
-blue orbs turn on Alex and Mack- You think about making fun of me again and you'll be sorry.
-laughs, grins, and skips out of room-

*puts hand on heart* I AM NOT HITTING ON PHILLIP! *is speechless at such an accusation* Aurora is just very friendly with everybody. *nods furiously* She treats all boys in the same way as long as they cooperate. Aurora doesn't hit on people! Nooooo! Phillip and Aurora are having a very mature conversation. Oh yeah. *nods some more* *Ari butts in* And Aurora is not an old woman! And Phillip can hit on Aurora all he wants, but he ain't gonna get any reaction!

Oh la la. I just spent my morning listening to all of your Dragon's Roar podcasts. Very entertaining! I remember back when I was in staff and Noko was thrilled on the idea of the podcast. I did one, maybe two podcasts with her. I don't remember since we used to talk on skype. Oh gosh, the talks on cookies, and the staff lounge with plush color coated couches, parties, and of course cookies... awwwww I miss that. I'm wondering if the staff lounge changed it's design? Also, I must agree with Alex. Pomegranates are awesome. I just recent wrote about one in my post... coincidentally. They are actually one of my favorite fruits. I must say Mack that I don't like cherries, but they taste nothing like pomegranates. You should go out on a limb and try one some time. Your Podcasts are very entertaining and I truly adore them. Keep going with the random conversations! p.s. instead of "y'all" up here in Pennsylvania we say "yinz" oh how language changes through states. * hands plate full of assorted cookies. Without peanut butter & oatmeal and raisin. *
