Soooo.... currently I am going into my second year in uni. I just recently transfered schools and now my final major is Behavior Sciences, concentration in Sociology. The idea of me studying abroad has been tossed around my mind and since this is already my second year in uni, I need to start to focus on my major, asap. So, if I do intend on studying abroad I must do it this Spring semester or next Fall semester. My school has a study abroad program connected into a few places. One that caught my eyes was London. The school I would be attending in London would be Regents College. Does anyone know anything about the school, the area, or the credentials? Anything on the school would be MUCH appreciated.

'Fraid I've never heard of it. Have you tried online? I can't supply much about the uni itself, but if you like big cities with lots of things to do and places to see, London is your town. It's teeming with people, especially tourists, and shops are everywhere for your fancy. Generally it's convenient, the public transport is good, but living in London is an expensive upkeep. That's probably the only con about the capital (unless you don't like busy places at all).

I've never heard of it. I looked on UCAS, which is the UK's university applications site, and the only place I could find was 'Regents Business School London', which I don't think is it. Oh wait, here's the address. Regents Business School London Inner Circle Regent's College Regent's Park London NW1 4NS Have you looked at its website? www.regents.ac.uk/ So the 'Regent's Business School, London' is part of it, one of five different colleges. I assume the one that you'd be going to is the 'School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology'? That doesn't even appear on UCAS; the accreditation is from the University of Wales. www.spc.ac.uk/about_spcp/accreditation.aspxErm... so just accreditation rather than an actual degree isn't really that desirable to be honest. And the University of Wales isn't bad, but it's hardly the most prestigious either. No other places that it's connected to?

www.bacl.ac.uk/That was the link my uni gave me to look at. Seems like would do most of my psychology credits there, in comparison to my sociology which I would get here in the states. Viv, I do love big cites. I live in Pennsylvania here, and I often travel to New York, New York (where my sister lives). The city is amazing, but extremely over populated. I do like the idea of visiting London; however, I doubt after I graduate I will have the time to travel. So, obviously my next alternative is to travel during school! And studying abroad seems like a good experience. I just don't know what school to go to. Regents College is the college that is through my uni in the states. (I go to Point Park University) I'm sure if I went through the study abroad program without going through my school, (I sure hope you guys understand this) I could find other colleges to enroll into in London, other than Regents. I just found this through my uni and wondered if it was anything worth looking into. Ivy, you're right. I'm not completely thrilled with the idea of accreditation instead of a degree. But I only plan to be enrolled for one semester. (whether it be this spring semester coming up, not next fall) So, I wouldn't technically be getting my degree there, the school would only be helping me getting credits toward my degree in the states; while also building my resume. It is actually a very beneficial thing here in the states to go on study abroad programs. Since most Americans don't know more than one language, or travel outside of the country for more than entertainment purposes; it is in high demand for someone who is good with travel and has had time in other countries. hmmm.... You know how a college or uni likes to brag about themselves on their site. I wasn't too sure if I wanted to believe it, so I thought it was an idea to ask here. haha Do you know of any other colleges or universities in London that have a decent % of foreign students?

I think most unis in London have a high percentage of foreign students. Oxbridge are two examples, they have plenty of overseas students. You should check unis' sites, because they always have a section for overseas students, with funds, etc, all written out for you.

That is still part of the same college which I haven't heard of. But the accreditation is from Webster University, St. Louis, USA - presumably that's where you are at the moment?
Overseas students - not all of them can speak English as well as you can, haha. I don't think you'd be alone as an American student anywhere in the UK. And yup - as Viv said, you should check the universities' sites for their overseas students fees etc. The more research the better.

St. Louis Missouri?! Nope, haha. That's not me. I'm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Quite a distance. hmm... defiantly interesting on that accreditation. Yea, I'll defiantly look into more school from the study abroad website. Thanks for your ideas guys.
