Hello all!
I've been thinking recently: does anyone besides me exalt fellow members on 4Houses? I know of two or three, but no more. And that certainly makes me rather glum! Because the karma system is really very good. It rewards members - and the rewards are given by other members. It really does make me smile when I open my inbox and on that rare occasion I get a PM titled 'You have been exalted because'. It makes me think my efforts put into the site and my characters and writing and plots are just a little bit more worth while and acknowledged.
Sooo, that said, I'm here to encourage you all to use the karma system more! Go ahead and exalt your fellow poster when they reply with an exceptionally creative post, or one they've obviously put a lot of effort and thought into. If they post constantly around the site and have evidently put time into making sure they get to their posts, then exalt them. If they think of some insanely amazing plot idea you're impressed with, and put both time and effort into making it happen, guess what? Exalt them!
Really, how hard is it? All you do is press the 'Exalt' button and write a quick PM about why you exalted. *sigh* Really. I don't understand why people are so averse to it.
Well, I hope things will change now.
Exalt away! Just don't run away with the idea now, eh? Haha, I can just imagine someone suddenly obtaining ten karma. Wowee.
