I just thought I should add to this. Basically, I’m a complete nub when it comes to sports this big, in particular if it isn’t English/tennis. :3 My guy friends, every time the Superbowl comes around (what’s that, once a year?) have a massive beer-filled, guys-only night and just watch this straight through. But I suppose that’s what most guys do for this... anyway I find it hilarious. (:
So this thing is American Football. It’s the... NFL championships? And I think it’s between the Steelers and Cardinals. –smacks brain-
That’s as far as my knowledge about this goes. xD Martin, one of my closest friends and the host of this, ahem, crazy night in, is also a Steelers fan... that much I know. So I guess it’s only right to throw myself to that side too? Apparently.
Aha so yeah. There is my input and my embarrassing confession to how little I know about any sport that is not English/Tennis. =D

I echo Astrid's sentiments.
What is The Super Bowl? xDD;;
Is it the equivalent of our football Premiership over here? Lol.

Haha, basically, yeah, the Super Bowl is the final championship game for American football which determines the "best" team of the season. There are 2 conferences in the NFL (National Football League) and the Super Bowl is the game between the 2 best teams (1 from each conference). The Steelers (from Pennsylvania) were the AFC (American Football Conference) champs and the Cardinals (from Arizona) were the NFC (National Football Conference) champs. The Steelers won. Woo! I am from PA as well so my alliances are with the Steelers.

Congrats Steelers (and Heather.) Of course, Adam has no place to talk...because the last time I talked to him, he said his allegiance had changed to the Cowboys, which I can't stand and I know Heather will disown him for that. IN YOUR FACE ADAM.

Haha. True. True. I did mention that I was considering choosing the Cowboys as my team. However, with the way that they played this year, I quickly reconsidered. In all honestly, I've never really had a team that I've rooted for consistently. I always just found myself rooting for the Steelers because they were close to where I lived. If the Cowboys win though, good for them, especially if they beat the Eagles. The Eagles are so bad that I am ashamed that they are from Pennsylvania too. It's quite sad. Haha.

Adam you're just saying that because you know the Eagles are my team and Eagles fans hate the Cowboys. I knew you just said that to get under my skin.

Whether or not you are a Steelers fan, you have to agree that was a very well played game on both of the team's parts. In the last 3:00 it was so tight, you could hear a pin drop from miles away in my town.
I am not sure if you guys understand how big of fan's Pittsburgh fans are. Downtown pittsburgh was a riot from the second the game ended till about 1:00am. I live right outside of downtown, so about 5 minutes away from the business district, and I could still hear the yelling and screaming and sirens over the hill. Fireworks, firecrakers, the works! I am so proud of my hometown, you have no idea! You have to admit though, the Steelers had an AMAZING come back in the last 2:00! ;D
Adam, I am disappointed you were thinking of rooting for the cowboys this season. I truly do not like them.... however, there are three teams I dispise more than the cowboys and than the cowboys, that is #1- the browns. #2- the patriots. #3- the eagles. Justin, I already told you I didnt like the eagles... just the idea of them makes me want to gag. That team is in my top 3... kinda rough.

Man it was a good game, and I still can't believe the Steelers won, even though the Cardinals had the more talented players. I wish my team had mad made it to the playoffs though, I still can't see how the Eagles beat them in the final regular season game. Ah well, at least Santonio Holmes got the Super Bowl MVP, he, Polamalu, and Roethlisberger are about the only current playing Steelers I like.
