NO WAY! *faints* It doesn't sound too bad, but... it's soooo weird, hearing it sung by someone else. WEIRD I tell you! *huggles* Thanks for sharing. I do quite like the Backstreet Boys, but I prefer Alexz. Adam: Aaaaw, Hayden's sooo cute. >< And the one of you and Kara is really pretty.

I wrote this in another forum, but this is basically what I have to report about my um... well, he wasn't my boyfriend. But we almost were together. Lol. But anyway, in other news in my oh-so-interesting life, I have managed to keep up with homework! Wow, amazing, lol. School is going OK. Always got homework, which isn't fun, but whatever. I need to start on my personal statement tonight. Getting into Birdsong a little bit. My, it's graphic, the sex bits! I was like, whoooooa gosh. XD I've also stolen so many other books and plays from the English rooms, lol. Chinese school yesterday was amusing. I've got a different class in my last year mentor teaching there, and two of the girls (sisters) like JUMPING on me. I mean, Stephen warned me about her, but dude, I didn't think he was being serious. XD And there's Tony the Loud Mouth. You always remember the loud ones. And his best friend, 'Nothing'. 'Nothing' refuses to give his English name, so it's just 'Nothing'. *mutters* Idiot children. That's really all I have to say. But I'd like to share a really nice Chinese song with you by my favourite Chinese band. It's called 'Shou Ni Ai Wo' (Say You Love Me) by S.H.E.

Viv didn't actually write 'pregnant dog' by the way, that's the censored version of what she wrote. Does anyone think it would be better just with asterisks? I think the censored version is almost more insulting. Also then I don't really want to turn on the thing for it censoring parts of words as well as just the actual word because then it changes perfectly innocent words into much more questionable ones. I suppose we'll just have to keep on top of moderating things and rely on you guys to point out anything we miss. I'll start by moderating Viv's post!!! Viv - I dunno whether I misunderstood Sarge or whether Jess has muscled her way in but either way, things not as expected. I suppose I did find it too good to be true in the first place! But not particularly happy right now, I would rather not literally play second fiddle to her. I'm thinking of going and asking Sarge whether if I misunderstood her, I can lead the seconds? What do we think?

Check your phone messages, m'dear. And sorry about that, everyone. I didn't read through it and just pasted it. Shouldn't have. We're all pretty rude in our guild, ya see, so I didn't bother with language when I wrote it. But yes, something else to share with you guys: my nonexistent love life.

Viv; Birdsong is brilliant. *nods* and ick at that girl, she sounds awful. =/ Good luck with the new choir boy though. (;
My week has been crazy and confusing. Which is why I haven't been on to post. I have to decide who I want to spend Christmas with for the first time ever. o.O Either my mum and her boyfriend, who I despise and can't spend more than a second with. Or my dad in our house in France and his girlfriend. Who's alright. But France. =/ Osh. Also had a billion coursework deadlines thrown upon us, double oshh.
Whole school photo was yesterday though... my it's highh! Aha. I'm not scared of heights but, being upper school, we now go straight to the top of the metal frame. Ooer. As it's done in rough year-height order, we also find out the tiniest new member in year seven. :] She was adoorrable, soso small. Someone said she needs a booster stool in her lessons (not a joke). Aw.

XD Why thank you! Bah, but I have no doubt he's taken, and I refuse to purposefully steal someone's boyfriend. Ouch. >< Good luck with the coursework. I'd invite you to stay with me but that's rather impossible, hahaha. We had individual photos yesterday! It was all over very quickly and extremely disorganised for the sixth form, lol. We had our whole school photo two years ago, and I was at the very top of the frame, lol, being only 5'2". Izy was down at the front somewhere.

I just have to put this up (especially for Izy) now that I've found it. I sang it two years ago with Thursday Singers. Even though I hated going to the choir at the time, this song... it remains forever etched in my mind, my heart... Just a masterpiece of music. And we're singing it again this year so YAAAAY! Magnum Mysterium (Morten Lauridsen)EDIT: Forgot to mention; Astrid: I finished Birdsong. It's good... and left me feeling ever so... odd. I think war stories like that do that to you. It's like something weighs on your heart, heavy and real, afterwards. And you know you'll never truly understand their pain.

Hope everyone has had a good day. To sum mine up: finishing late history homework, fire drill, lunch duty, small chamber choir - hard song, Mock The Week on BBC iPlayer, religious insight in General Studies, Miss West is funny, satsifying English literature lesson, discussed Birdsong, showed Miss McGann Top of the World by Dixie Chicks and tried to relate it to the war and the book, tears of a friend, fun senior choir, sore throat, lent a graphic calculator, online duties, dinner, Tess of the D'Urbervilles on iPlayer, banners with Oscar&Scott. I wanted to share two vids, anyway. The first is Top of the World, by Dixie Chicks. One of my favourite songs of all time. It's touching and beautiful, and the lead singer has a brilliant voice. The video makes it even more heart-breaking. The second one is Another Now, by Alexa Vega. Found it when watching a Maxxie/Tony Skins vid (i.e. the avatars for Theo and Scott). It's PG-13 - you have been warned. But the song is brilliant. The Best of MaxxieHere's just the song itself:

*is trying to post all my charries OOC rather than using Ari all the time* Summary of my day: no sleep, scratchy throat, lots of water, couldn't get up, daze, assembly about tech and D of E, memories of mud, accomplished literature lesson, worry about Dorian Gray as coursework material, psychology coursework, starving, tired, not enough food, read history notes, history note-making, Theo post, end of school, wait for mum, go home! And that's where I'm at right now. Bah. Where is my mother? Lol. I have so many posts I owe... I want to apologise again. I'm only thinking of being active for Theo's plot right now. Not that my other plots don't mean anything to me, but they're not active anyway due to fellow plotters being busy, etc - i.e. DWTD, Disenchanted, Bloodties, etc. I will slowly but surely try to get to my other posts when I'm free, but I have homework, personal statement and other things to think about and it's driving me mad with work - as I'm sure Izy and Kat can reaffirm for me, lol... The highest priority will be given to Vi/Heidi's post, because I know she needs ten posts. I will do my very best, y'all.

*grins* Thanks, Viv. Viola will have ten posts after tonight, as she has a few people to reply to now. After that I'll get to the Ruth&Leah thread asap.
Do you mean the new version of Tess of the D'Urbervilles with Gemma Arterton? I watched it, but wasn't that impressed. I adore the 1998 film too much. Especially the actor that plays Angel... Oliver Milburn, says IMDB. Such a good book though. All hail Hardy.
My day has flown by in a haze of art. I used oil paints like acrylics and white spirit like it's water, much to the annoyance of my tutor. :K Got a lot done though, so wahay. Hope everyone else had a good day.

Hey everyone, just thought I'd say hi! This past couple of weeks has been pretty hectic to say the least...but I've finally got university applications pretty much sorted for now. Well, sent it back to my referee with further edits, and then it'll be sent to the headmistress and back, for more editing. Then edits, sending back, and then off to the universities =). Eeep =).
So, yeah, other than university applications I've had a lot of homework to do, and basically no free time at all. Hence why I've not been posting or anything recently...I shall get onto that in the near-ish future.
Today...I had a rather boring maths lesson (graphs, urgh, hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em), sent uni application to referee (who got it back to me at the end of the day), then quite a good chem lesson, then guitar lesson, free, then double cutting and sticking further maths. So, in general, today's not been too bad.

Hmm well, those 'tears of a friend' that Viv mentioned were mine, I believe. Sorry, Viv. I'm a bit snowed under in homework at the moment. I miss everyone here very much! My university application should (eep!) be being sent off tomorrow, so that is no longer an issue. However, all the time that it's taken up is an issue as I am now rather behind and very busy. I will be back on Four Houses as soon as I've worked through the... ahem, backlog.

Miss you too Izy! Also, I found the half of my Lanarwhystood post in my Maths books. ¬_¬ No idea why I wrote it in there. I'll type it up tomorrow and post it the moment I get home; don't want to re-write after I've already written, makes me confused aha. I was wondering if anyone listens to Jose Gonzalez? (: I guess this is his most common song, But he has many other fabulous tracks. I adore his voice. I'm going to see him live in October. *dies*

Nein, but I have heard some of this stuff, I'm sure. The vid doesn't work any more, btw, Astrid. I love his cover of 'Heartbeat'. I think my bro can play it on the guitar... That's probably why it sounds so familiar. *huggles Ken proudly* ><

Aww, nice. It's a good song. It's actually the one in the video... which, oddly, works perfectly for my computer Viv. =/ Not sure why it wouldn't on yours. I also like 'How low' and 'Killing for love'.

Turns out Ken doesn't play it and never has, but he says he can. XD So where the heck have I heard it from?
I love Japanese anime music. This one's from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. I hate the anime, but I worship the manga, and this song is just brilliant.
