It's that time of year again (perhaps a bit past due ) to get your critical eyes ready to nominate and vote for the most deserving of 4 Houses accolades! If this is your first time participating in the Hoscars, no worries, it's fairly straight forward. And, if you've been around for previous Hoscars (perhaps all 4 of the other years), then you know the drill by now. This is the nomination phase of the Hoscars. You may nominate up to TWO people/threads/plots for each category. The top nominees will then be placed on the official Hoscars ballot for voting. Please do not nominate your own characters or plots. You may nominate threads that you are involved in. Please PM your nominations to me. The nomination period will end in one week, March 4th. No nominations will be accepted after that date.Last year saw the addition of the Plots category, and this year we have a new Couples category. Hopefully the sub-categories within each main category are self explanatory. If not, feel free to PM me with any questions about the categories. Also, please remember to give me the url of the threads that you nominate. It is helpful if you give me the url and the title of the thread separately, but the url is vital. I do not want to go searching through boards to find a thread you've only given me the name of and I will not accept nominations which do not have a url. You may only nominate ONCE, regardless of how many characters you have. Student Character ListAdult Character ListPlot GuideboardHappy nominating! NOTE: Plot nominations will be announced later. Formatting the nominations with pictures is taking a lot longer than I thought. I just wanted to post up what I have for now. Voting will not begin yet, so please do not send me any votes until further notice. Take this time to start thinking about your votes for these categories for which the nominees have been announced. Also, I will be providing a text list in case you cannot view the images. Enjoy!

Now, if for some reason you can't see the pictures in the first thread that announced the majority of the nominees, I will provide an all text list below. Also, included in the list, I will announce those characters, couples, threads, and plots which received nominations, but not enough to be a top nominee. The red ones are those that are eligible to be voted for to win while the blue ones represent honorable mentions (you cannot vote for any of the blue). Questions? Just PM me if you have any questions. Otherwise, vote for ONE red nominee from each category, and remember you CANNOT vote for yourself, your threads, or your plots at this point. If you are part of all the threads or plots in any given category, then don't vote. Let your friends/fans be the deciding factor at this point. What fun is it if you vote for yourself to win. Votes are due by 11:59 pm EST, Monday March 23. Remember, vote for the RED nominees, not the blue ones. The blue ones are just getting an honorable mention for receiving at least one nomination. They didn't receive enough nominations to be considered for the actual Hoscar. Better late than never? It's been a long time coming, but I am now honoured to have the pleasure of announcing the 2008-2009 Hoscar award winners! Drum roll, plase... *drums begin their cadence* (Note: There were a few ties.)
Sorry for the lack of colour and prettyful presentation. Just a lot to do today... I was bored and thought it needed to be prettier...so yeah now it's pretty, Adam ;DCongrats again to all the winners! Looking forward to another GREAT year here at 4 Houses. Feel free to post any acceptance/thank-you speech in this thread now that the Hoscars are over.

If I remember correctly, the thank yous are meant to be done IC. But what the heck. xD I don't care. Did I just say that? Never mind. Being an awful member here. I shall go hide in a minute before I get told off. xD
Sooo yes, thank youuuu all so much. First of all, to everyone who voted - not just for me, but who voted at all, it's great that you did. :) Secondly, to everyone in general for making 4Houses the amazing community that it is and for keeping me here for so long and coping with me. ;) Third, to those I have posted with in the past and right now - it's been great fun, seen a lot of development and I just love writing with you. Lastly, I want to thank Adam for organising the Hoscars despite his busy schedule recently, and for being a great friend despite the fact we've both been very busy over the last year and rarely get the chance to talk much.
I am highly amused Ariane did win something after all - and IC Prefect at that! Haha. I suppose it's because she's recently become very passionate about beating Slytherin. Her tenacity scares even me. xD;; Despite the fact she breaks the rules herself, she managed to win this category so thanks, everyone, for putting a huge smile on my face. I am very fond of my main-account character. ^^
The same goes for Theo winning Best Quidditch Player - huge honour, since he only got made Vice recently and I've loved helping to lead the Quidditch team. Mind you, it's a lot of hard work... *subtle glares at the Ravenclaw team who haven't posted in the practice yet and really need to before the next match* xD;; Anyway, also it's great to share the win with Ashley, who does a lot of work for her army of Slytherins!
The couples category is one of my favourites, probably because it was my idea and Theo and Oscar were nominated in all but one. xD A massive thank you for that, y'all, it really made me happy because I love Theoscar sooo much. Just want to specially thank Astrid (aka Oscar) as well, because without her, Theoscar would obviously have never happened. They're my favourite couple to roleplay together and it's been so much fun. Also, thanks to Adam for sticking with DWTD and Drindia, despite the fact we've been busy. I didn't expect them to win two and Theoscar the one, but I think the right couples won the right categories. I'm surprised Drindia got Couple to Watch, though! :D
India would like to thank those who voted for her as Most Interesting Character. ^^ I don't think she'll complain, hahaha. As for Theo winning Most Original with Jez - an honour, Izy, to have won with you. Tbh, if I would have tied with Jez, I would have thought it to be India... *muses* But I don't mind, of course! I am just happy that people seem to think Theo is original, because I really don't think he is, ahaa. It's wonderful, so thank you. :)
About the threads and plots, I'm glad that people seem to find my writing and plots - along with my co-writers and co-plotters - interesting and fun to read. I'm soo happy 'Time For You And Me' won Most Heart-Warming (double whammy with the couple award, so Theo is currently rejoicing, aha), purely because when I wrote that, it made me melt and go all fuzzy - was weird but was hilarious and wonderful too, lol, and so yes, very very happy about that. 'Boys Just Wanna Have Fun' was certainly entertaining, but the credit must go to Joseph (aka Wynd) for organising it and coming up with the amusing idea in the first place. :) I'm glad, like I am for Theoscar, that Drindia provokes your thoughts... xD I totally thought, for quality of writing, that if any of mine would win, it would be 'Excuse Me.', because my India quality is a lot better than my Theo, in my eyes. But I am delighted to win that category because I try and write the best quality writing I can, and I'm even more ecstatic about the fact I won it with the people I love posting with so much - Adam, Astrid and Maryn. I'm veery amused about winning Most Entertaining Plot - I'm glad people think Seth and Chace are funny (or maybe it's just Seth being an idiot, ahaha), and I am trying harder to get Seth posting opportunities because I feel he's being neglected in comparison to Theo. And yes, massive thank you for the DWTD wins - seems to be the same categories, which makes a nice set, lol. India is glad she didn't lose to Drake in the Best Male/Female in Plot. :P
And finally, but most importantly, a reeeally, really big thank you for winning the three member categories... When Adam said, before the voting started, that nominations-wise I was doing quite well, I didn't for a moment think I would win them all. So yes, I am very shocked... but very happy! *huggles you all* I love you all so much and I love this place, so thank you for that honour. I think, of all the awards, that one probably means the most to me as a member of 4Houses.
Now that I've finished thanking everyone (as Izy knows, I've been doing a lot of that lately xD), I have to say a massive congratulations to everyone who also won, and especially to Adam, who has done very well this year as always. ;) I can't wait to see how next year's Hoscars turn out.
