Samaal looked around coldly. He didn't know who he was better off to support. Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. Neither, if possible. He had turned up wearing his plain robes, stubbornly refusing to don Quidditch scarves or supporting badges. He was on of the first in the Slytherin stands, sitting down in the second row. Hopefully the most tedious of his Housemates wouldn't clap him on the back and sit down next to him. Samaal stiffened as a gang of boys such as he feared, banged down the aisle behind him. They noisily kicked two first-years out of their seats, and sat down right behind Samaal. The first years cursed under their breath, and made their way to the front row. More and more Slytherins filed into the higher seats further back, the girls giggling and squealing, the boys guffawing and chanting rude slogans on Hufflepuff males. Samaal was reminded horribly of his dream in the common room a few nights before. Putting up his feet on the seats in front, he leant back, so as to avoid looking at the Gryffindor stands. The bustling crowd in scarlet and gold made anger boil in the pit of his stomach. He abandoned looking at the clouds. Most of the house had sat down by then, the seats to either of his sides still empty, nonetheless. Samaal hoped that whoever it was who sat down next to him would be of the decent sort, preferably as apathetic as he was to the game that was about to start.
