Hey,
I'm so sorry I haven't written for so long. Things have been goingcrazy well around here. My grades are still perfect so don't worry about that, and I still have my fun. I really miss you though, and that's what made me think of taking up writing again. I should have never stopped really. It's just with nothing around here happening, I thought it would be a good idea to get some excitement, even if it comes from you when you see this school owl swing in to the living room, this very letter clutched in its talons. They say in books that you can feel your loved ones emotions and if that's true, I should be able to feel some of your excitement. Which I will truly relish.
Oreo - the little rascal of a kitten. I think he has A.D.H.D., no joke, and don't start laughing when you read this line. It's not funny. He actually jumped in the air as I was trying to give this barn owl a treat. Can you imagine? Try to imagine the big scratch on my hand as well. You know, maybe I should have named him Odd. It certainly fits. He didn't get the snack, although he did land in a fascinatingly large pile of owl poop. At first I thought he was going to go ahead and eat it, but he just ran away as if the touch of something so vile had burned him. And yes, I had cleaning duty. He tried to run away from me three times already to go chase some stranger with interesting clothes or a strange style of hair. Honestly, I can't keep up with him.
I'm reading Peter Pan again. It's so good, I just can't keep my hands off of it. Have you gotten any new books for the library? I know it's already full to the brim practically, but I found an interesting book in Hogsmeade. It's expensive, so I want to get your permission before going to buy it. It's a magical book - of course - and I know we don't have many of those, so I thought it a good idea... It's about magical creatures and their effects on people, but it's more of a fantasy book with moving pictures! You would love it, I know. So think about it, will you?
Well, I've run out of things to say without boring you to death on details you already know. I'm thinking about getting a perm. Does that sound good to you? Or should I keep it as is? Please give your truthful opinion. In other words, don't say I'm beautiful anyway, like I know you will! Tell John if you see him that I miss him, and if you see Rosa give her greetings as well.
With all the Love in the World,
Ariel Dahl
