Hayden looked into the windows of the many beautiful shops of Diagon Alley. Her and her mother were enjoying a nice afternoon in Diagon Alley, and were currently window shopping, but were about to go get ice cream in a few minutes. As Hayden looked at the many shops, she often asked her mother for something, but, each time her mother would simply shake her head, and say no. Hayden pouted almost every time, but continued on with her window shopping happily only a few seconds later.
Hayden's gaze stopped, when she saw a Quiddich shop. She put eyes widened a bit, and she put her hands, up onto the glass window to lean in closer, to get a better look. She stared at window, admiring all the items that they had on display for a few minutes. She looked up at her mother and said, "Hey mum! Look at that broomstick!" she said, pointing to one of the brooms in the window. "Isn't it wonderful? I reckon it goes pretty fast as well!" Her mother smiled and nodded her head. "Can I get a broomstick?" Hayden asked, with excitement twinkling in her eyes. Her mother shook her head and said, "Sorry dear, but you're not old enough to get a broomstick yet." "Sure I am!" protested Hayden. "When you get a bit older, I will see about it, maybe by your birthday, or you could try saving up the money yourself." Hayden's face saddened in disappointment. It would take her a very long time to save up the money herself, and her birthday wasn't until January.
Hayden looked over at everybody else around Diagon Alley, and her eyes fell upon a very familiar person, Mia. Hayden's eyes widened the size of quarters! Mia was Hayden's best friend from school, and from her neighborhood. But Mia was a muggle, wasn't she? Hayden was a bit puzzled, but excited all the same. "Mia?!" she asked, completely excited to see her friend.

Mia had been wondering Diagon Alley because her father wanted to get her school supplies for her upcoming first year at Hogwarts. She found Diagon Alley rather enjoyable and she loved looking in all the shops because she had never seen Diagon Alley before. She was mostly stuck in the muggle world even though her father came from a wealthy wizarding family. Her mother had wanted her to just be a normal muggle child, but when she was younger she had shown she had inherited her father's magic. Now she was a wizard and her father was so proud. In fact, he was so proud that he had decided to bring her along to Diagon Alley as soon as she recieved her letter for the next term.
Mia was sitting at a table eating some ice cream when she saw her best friend Hayden looking at her. She smiled and got up and dashed over to her.
"Hayden! Oh am I glad to see you here."

Hayden squealed with delight at the sight of her friend. She was so excited! "Your a witch too?" she blurted out happily. "Oh my gosh! That is so awesome! I'm so gald that I'm going to be able to know someone once we arrive there! Hey! We can sit on the train together and everything!" she babbled on excititly.
She looked over and noticed that Mia's father was there as well. "Your father's a wizard? My mum's a witch! Oh! This is so exciting! So, have you heard anything about Hogwarts yet, or did you just figure out about it? If so, what house do you want to be in? I wanna be in Hufflepuff! So, did you always know that you were a witch, and just keep it a secret to me, or did you just find out, like I did?" she babbled on yet again.
((Mia, I'm so sorry that this is so short, I had to do this in a rush, because I need to get to bed really soon.))

Mia smiled as she watched her friends babble on and asking alot of questions. She just smiled and was glad she found that her best friend was a witch as well.
"Hold on Hayden, one question at a time." , she said smiling at her.
"Yes I am a witch and my father is a wizard. And no I haven't heard much about Hogwarts even though my father's family has been in Hufflepuff everytime they went. Now what else did you ask, oh yes, I didn't know I was a witch until about a three years ago and then today I got the full story. I guess that is why we are good best friends."

Mia told Hayden to hold on, and ask one question at a time, and Hayden smiled and replied, "Oh, sorry." with a slight blush. Mia wasn't always the quite as hyper as Hayden, but that was just fine. Mia said that she had known that she was a witch for three years. "Wait a minute," started Hayden. "You mean that you were a witch all this time, and never told me? Oh, nevermind. I suppose you couldn't have told me, huh?" she finished with a slight laugh.
"Well anyway, I just found out that I was a witch, about a month ago, when I received my Hogwarts letter. Oh, and I'm glad that you are hoping for Hufflepuff house as well! Maybe we'll both get into the same house, and we could be in the same dorm and everything! Wouldn't that be great? Well, you know my older brother, Ian, well I just found out that he is going into his sixth year at Hogwarts, in Hufflepuff. My mum was in Hufflepuff too, so I'm pretty sure that's what house I will be sorted into, because of my personality. So, do you think that our parents would mind if we go looking around a bit? My mum never lets me walk around anywhere by myself, but maybe she'll say differently if we go around together." she babled on yet again.

Mia smiled as she watched her friend smile and babble on. She really didn't mind, she was just happy to know she was a witch as well. She had wanted to tell her so bad but couldn't because she thought she might have freaked out about it.
"Yeah I am sorry I didn't tell you, but I was afraid of how you would have reacted to the news. I am so glad I found you are one too, I couldn't keep it hidden anymore."
She smiled at Hayden and soon was asked if their parents would mind if they went exploring.
"i don't think my father minds, he told me that I should but I was a bit afraid to go by myself. So if it's ok with your mum, I think we can go explore this place a bit before we leave."

Hayden smiled when Mia said that she thought that it would be a good idea if they go exploring around for a while. "Well, I'm glad that your father doesn't mind, but my mum might..." she said, a bit unsure. "Umm... hang on, I'll be right back." she said, before scurring over to her mother, who had walked over to chat with Mr. Mischalka. "Hey mum?" she asked. Her mother looked down at her daughter, and Hayden continued. "Can Mia and I go looking around Diagon Alley for a little bit? Please? I mean, I know that you said that ou don't like me going around by myself, but Mia said that her father didn't mind, and maybe it would be OK if we both went together?" she asked. Her mother at her rambeling, and reluctantly said, "Yes, but only be gone for a little bit. Perhaps, twenty minutes would be fine..." Hayden smiled with delight as she said, "Thanks mum!", while acirring back over to Mia.
"OK," she said. "My mum said yes, but she said that we could only be gone for about twenty minutes, so, got a watch?" she asked, holding up her wrist, to show Mia that she hadn't had one.

Mia smiled and watched as Hayden walked over to her mum, to ask if she could go. It must have been a yes because Hayden returned a bit happy.
"So I assume it is a yes?"
Hayden told her yes but that they could only explore for twenty minutes and she asked if she had a watch.
"Yes I do, lets go. Where should we start?"

Mia said that she assumed that the answer was a yes, and Hayden her head with a smile. "Yep!" Mia then asked where they should go to first, and Hayden's face lit up, with a wide smile, and replied, "Come on! Let's go look around the Quidditch shop!" She then grabbed Mia's hand, and ran with her, dragging her into the store. Once they were both inside the shop, Hayden immediately turned to the brooms. "Wow! Mia! Look at those! Are you interested in Quidditch? I am! I would like to be either a Seeker, or a Chaser on my house team at Hogwarts! I'm thinking about trying out in my first year! Maybe I'll make it in, maybe I won't, but hey, it's worth a short right?" she asked, with a shrug and smile. "Although, my mother isn't too big on the idea of me playing Quidditch. She says that it's too dangerous. Well yes, I admit that it is dangerous, but I know that I'm just destined to play Quidditch. Well, wait a minute, I take that back. I was born and destined to be a Olympic champion in figure skating, but I still love Quidditch!" she rambling on happily.
