It was six o’clock in the evening. Classes were over and Drake had finally found the time to go to the library. There were some very important things he needed to look up in order to be able to start his potion.
Firstly, he decided that he needed to find a table. He quickly browsed the library for a vacant space. He quickly found one and sat down. He took his bag from the floor and opened the zipper. He withdrew a book, “Potions, A Makers Guide to 10,000 ingredients”, a quill and a few pieces of parchment.
Secondly, Drake stood from the table and headed toward the stacks of book. He was looking for the area directed at potion making. It took drake almost fifteen minutes to find what he was looking for, but when he finally reached his destination a smile of triumph spread across his face.
He slowly moved his fingers across a center row of book. He wasn’t exactly sure what he was looking for. He did, however, know that when he saw it he would know. This soon took place and Drake quickly withdrew the book from the shelf and headed back in the direction of his table.
When he reached it he placed his newly acquired book, “Combinations of Ingredients for a Desired Effect”, on the table. He sat down and flipped to the index in the back. He ran his finger along the rows of words that told the reader the contents of the book. When his finger ran across a section of the book entitled “Beautiful Tones” he stopped. “Page 115” it read. He quickly flipped to the correct page and began to read
“It is not an easy task to create a beautiful sound, just ask banshee. In fact, there is no definite way of creating a potion that can create a beautiful tone. There is however an ingredient that will aid in the process of making a potion that involves the necessity of a beautiful tone. It is in face, a banshee hair. I know this sounds crazy, but it works. However, this is only the beginning. In addition to adding the banshee hair to the potion, you will need to add a banshee voice. This can be quite difficult. That is why it is now purchasable. It is merely the sound of a banshee trapped in a bottle. And when a potion is ready for the ingredient you simply open the bottle in the presence of the potion.”<br>
Drake read this stunned. How was he supposed to get both the hair and the voice of a banshee? On top of that, how was he supposed to know which potion to put it in? This was going to be difficult, but Drake was always ready for a challenge.
He took the book to the front counter and checked it out. He slipped it in his bag and headed toward the common room. He needed to think.
