Kris sauntered lazily down the hallways of Hogwarts. It was rather nearing the curfew but Kris didn’t really care. Besides it would be so easy to talk his way out of such situation. How was he supposed to know when it was time to return to his common room when he couldn’t see the watch to tell what time it was? It was almost pathethic how easily professors could be twisted around your finger. Kris figured there was still about half an hour until curfew actually started but his pace didn’t quicken at all as he calmly sauntered away from the Slytherin common room wiht Morrigan hopping on his shoulders as always. People had learned very quickly how to keep their mouths shut about the rather uncharacteristic little kitten on his shoulders. But for Kris Morrigan was irreplaceable. Without Morrigan Kris wouldn’t be able to more around this freely in the Hogwarts castle.

The black ebony wood of his walkign cane and the silvery thestrals head was held loosely in Kris’s hand as he felt his way with the tip of the cane. The moments when the cane touched the cold stone-floor it made a quiet click. Turning his head as a slight gust of wind told him that he was passing a window Kris stopped. Turning sideways so he would be facing the window Kris enjoyed the chilly breeze on his face. The hallway was rather cold especially since Kris was wearing merely an emerald-green silk-blouse and black silk-pants but he didn’t mind. He had always liked the cold. Kris wondered curiously if the sun was setting now or would that start later on? He would kill to be able to see the wonderous colours painting the sky at sunset or sunrise again.

Kris’s train of thought was rudely interrupted by loud cackling that stopped. „Don’t even try, Peeves,“ Kris said without moving a muscle as he continued to keep his head turned towards the opened window, „Bloody Baron went down this hallway a minute ago... I’m sure he would like to see you again.“
Peeves howled furiously throwing a few rather rude comments at Kris before the poltergeist left. Kris wondered idly why Peeves was so afriad of the Bloody Baron but didn’t realyl care to search it any further. Morrigan purred quietly as she rubbed her head against the side of Kris’s neck and Kris shifted the walking cane in front of him a little relaxing his stand by about one hair-strand.

Danielle walked down the corridor. It was empty except for her, she listened to the sound her boots. She had always liked that sound. She shivered. God you'd think they could make it warmer in here. All she was wearing was some jeans and a sweater. She had brought her wand too. It was so pretty she took it out of her front pocket. "Never put your wand in your back pocket," her brother had said "someone could steal it very easily." He'd also said that if it she was wearing her robes to put it in the inside pocket on the left. When Danielle had gotten her wand she had vowed to herself that she would take care of it. And she had, it looked the same way it had when she got it.

Turning a corner she saw a figure standing in front of what appered to be a window. Walking closer she saw a cat on the persons shoulder. Then she moved a little closer so that she could see his face. " You know that it's almost cufew. Don't you?" Danielle asked. He looked like a sixth or seventh year and judging by the color of his clothes, a Slytherin too. She waited for him to make a rude remark or do something she half hoped he would.

Kris stroked Morrigan under her chin for a moment after what the kitten curled up in the nook between his neck and shoulder. Wiht only half a mind Kris recognized someone’s footsteps and evaluated the walker. The footsteps were light and they dind’t clic, meaning that they weren’t heels. This brought the age of whoever was coming down the hallyway to some newbie student. Not a Slytherin – Slytherins girls would walk more slowly just to show to the world they knew how much they were worth. What would start without a Slytherin after all?

The footstepps stopped and Kris felt Morrigan hissed as she jumped on the shoulder towards where the girl had approached. The voice was young. A girl. 1st or 2nd year and not someone Kris knew. Not very bright for approaching Kris if he was so irritated anyway. Even though most likely his feelings weren’t displayed on his face
„No I didn’t know. And should I care?“ Kris didn’t turn his head as his jaw clenched. with annoyance, „I am not doing charity today so go beg someone else to play kindergarten with you.“
Morrigan continued hissing at the girl, the charming cut ekitten who had just been rubbing herslef against Kris’s neck long-gone. Kris wasn’t feeling practicalarly social or nice today but he decided to give the girl a chance. If she had one single normal brain-cell she would be runnign screaming now. If not then Kris had wanted to practice the curse he had read about this morning instead of going to Arithmancy.

Danielle raised her eyebrows. This boy was not very nice but who would expect it from a Slytherin. Danielle was very offended at the kindergarten remark. She was suprised how evil a cute kitten could be. The cat continued to hiss. Which was very annoying. Danielle liked cats but this one, oh no she would never touch that thing. He was really tall from Danielle's point of veiw and she wasn't sure if she could out run him. But if she had to she could at least try. Then came another thought,he could jinx me. And then I wouldn't be able to do anything. It's not like I can jinx him back or something. Oh yeah I don't have to worry about jinxes he'll probably just use a curse on me. But she decided not to think about that right then.

"Firstly yes you should care unless you don't mind getting detentions and that sorta' stuff. And secondly I wasn't begging you for anything. Besides that would never happen seeing as I never I repeat never beg. So I suggest if you have any other coments about me begging you keep them to yourself."

And the girl didn’t have any alive brain cells. Bother really. Kris was feeling lazy enough not to bother with some idiotic girl who was trying to prove herself by talking to a ’big bad Slytherin’. Turning himself Kris seated himself calmly on the edge of the window-sill as the gust of breeze coming in from the open window was now pulling at his shoulder-length hair. Hanging his walking cane on the window sill next to himself using the thestral’s head to make sure the cane stayed where Kris had placed it, Kris reached out his legs crossing them at his ankles. Raising his left hand Kris clicked his tongue quietly and understanding the cue Morrigan hopped from his shoudler ot Kris’s open palm hwere she fit perfectly. Slowly stroking Morrigans head with his right hand so his wand hand would be free easily, Kris smirked slowly.

„And which professor would give me a detention?“ Kris looked in fornt of himself waiting for the girl to make some kind of a sound so he would know where she was.
„You, silly little bint, will get into trouble however. And it wil be a pleasure to see... Gryffindor,“ Kris decided to guess at the house, „Loose some points. Not that Gryffindor was ever any competition to any house for the house cup. And right. So you don’t beg. You are just whiny enough to make anyone want to get rid of you. Tell me – where you parents glad to get rid of you for most of the year when you were accepted into Hogwarts? There is only so much growling and whining a human can take after all.“ Kris appeared rather bored as he threw a coupel fo rather random insult. He couldn't see the person so he would have to decide by some sudden intake of breath or a gasp as to what exactly was hurtful enough to teach the girl to make big circles around him in the future.

((I am sorry if anything hurts you. But quite frankly Kris wouldn’t care especially since you’re a Gryffindor. So no offence about what he says IC, right?))

Danielle was about to pounce on this kid. No one talked about her parents. She was actually shaking in anger. But he didn't know that, Danielle had just realized that he was either blind or couldn't see things that were right by him. Besides he had a cane too. Then she figured it out.Since he's blind he probably needs to hear things so that he can find them. Yes that's it! And now he's trying to get me to talk so that he can find me. But I'm not dumb,I'll talk then move to a different spot. O.k. on three. One, two,three wait I counted too fast. One, two, three.

"Actually my parents were a little dissapointed when they found out that I was a witch. You see they were worried about me. They were afraid," she said "that I'd run into people like you." Danielle quickly and quietly moved to her right about two steps. " But of course, I've managed not to get in trouble.Yet." she then moved to her right again.

The girl sounded angry and Kris gave a little smirk. Pathethic how easily Gryffindors could be angered. Didn’t they have any self-respect? As the girl hadn’t argue with his random guess Kris supposed he had been right. Kris almost sensed the girl moving rather than hearing it. You always knew when someone was moving aroudn you – the intakes of breath, the air moving, the quiet shuffling of clothes. It was enough for Kris to track her howevr quietly she tried to move. Especially since his hearing had improved greatly after becoming blind. Kris would have preferred still having his eye-sigh but he tried to take the best out of the abilities he still had.
Turning his head along with his moving Kris smirked: „You are in trouble already, close-minded bigot. You won’t make it from here to the Gryffindor Tower before curfew starts even if you take a couple of shortcuts.“

Kris smirked lazily as he flicked his right wrist. Why let the girl know exactly HOW good his hearing was? Let her underestimate her – people were most likely to make fatal mistakes when they underestimated you. Hid dark wand slipped easil yout between his fingers from the secret pocketin his sleeve hwere only Kris seemed to carry his wand. The long gleaming wood caught the setting sun and reflected it much the same way Kris’s walking cane did. Twirlng the wand between his fingers once Kris pointed it at the floor while murmuring a incantation. Feeling a quick flash of warmth Kris was glad that the spell had worked. He didn’t need to see the faint glow on the floor to know it worked as every foot-step sounded much louder than before echoing in the hallway.

„Why won’t we play a game? Whether Filch or some professor will get here first. Gryffindor might lost about... oh, let’s say 10 points if some professor who favours Gryffindors comes by. And I would be worried – wh oknows when exactly you have infuriated your friends enough for them to try and get rid of you,“ Kris made a pointed pause as f now thinking over his words, „Oh, right. You don’t have any friends, do you? Why would you be roaming the castle alone at such a time if you had someone to talk to?“

Daniellle's eyes flashed with anger. She was not going to let him know how much that hurt. So she decided to lie. " If that was an insult it wasn't very good. Because as a matter of fact I have plenty of friends." she took special care to make sure that her voice didn't quaver. She was a little worried about house points though. If she lost them she knew that her brother would not be happy. Then she'd get in trouble with her parents and that was not good. She was about to say something very rude to him but instead she bit her lip. "Ouch, son of a " she hoped that he'd just curse her and get it over with.

„Of course, tons of frends. From all houses none the less, right?“ Kris made a calm gesture with his right hand as he smirked, „How come none of those ’friends’ wishes to be in your presence at such a case? Imaginary friends don’t count you know.“ Lowering his hand back to Morrigan’s head Kris continued to stroke the black fur as Morrigan curled up on his palm purring quietly. Byt the angle of her head Kris could tell rather certainly that she was still observing the Gryffindor.

Smirking lazily at the girls commnet Kris shifted himself lightly as he still continued to lean on the window-sill. His posture appeared relaxed iwth her angkles corssed, holding and petting a kitten. But in reality Kris was relaxed about as much as a panther watching it’s prey. Sure, he dind’t have anything much to fear from the little girl. What oculd she do? Try to push him out of the window? Kris could most likely easily over-power her. Not much she could do with a curse as well. If she even knew some more-or-less useable curse. Kris himself mainly used modified curses. Simple charms and enchantments he combined and added little twists to. Hard to take off, the outcome was clearly appearant and simplicity made sure they always worked.

„Son of a? Well, true... I was born from a mother. Should I congratulate you for learning some basic facts of life or not? Or were you trying to call me something worse? Well, my parents most certainly were married, so don’t think you would actually be able to insult me. After all – what are you? A whiny mudblood in trouble? Nothing more. After all Gryffindors have always been known for being idiotical suicidal people who don’t care who they hurt in their way.“

"Well maybe they didn't want to come." she knew that that was a dumb thing to say as soon as the words escaped her lips."Or maybe they just don't come to Hogwarts. Just so you know I wasn't trying to insult you if I wanted to I would've done it already. I was actually refraining myself from doing it. I'll answer your rude remark about my blood. First off I know what a 'mudblood' is. I am a muggle-born and very proud of it.But didn't you mean that Slytherins are idiotic, suicidal
and hurt people? I mean the Sorting Hat said it himself.
'Those cunning folk use any means to achieve their ends,' and I think hurting people counts as 'any means'."

„Mudblood,“ Kris stated matter-of-factly not really caring either way. The girl held no importance appearantly didn’t have any character either. Just your regular Gryffindor push-over. Kris toyed around witht he idea of casting a curse as he analyzed the girls words somewhere in the back of his head. Letting out a hoarse rather malicious laugh at her words. Slytherins were mean. Surely Slytherins wanted to achieve hteir goals. Who didn’t really? This was the main difference between Gryfifndors. They rushed into danger ready to fight to death and die they most often did. Slytherins weren’t so rash. They could control themselves and actually think. They would attack from the side to guarantee their victory and to make sure their friends didn’t die.
Gryffindors didn’t only hurt themselves but also those who cared about them with their actionst hat hadn’t been thought through. Slytherins had been hurt one time to many to act without thinking clearly first.

„The world doesn’t come in shades of black and white. So feel free to keep on thinking your bloody Wonder-kid is the best thing ever walked the earth. Seriously, do they start brainwashing you ever since you’re born? Or are you just having classes as to how worship Potter daily in your common room? I mean who else would care about you?“ Kris’s back was starting to grow cold but he dind’t even bother to move himself. He had been out in worse weathers while wearing less. Luckily he never seemed to get ill. Morrigan purred lazily and after stretching stepped form Kris’ palm onto his shoulder as Kris raised his hand high enough. Perching herself calmly on Kris’s shoulder Kris wondered silently what to do with the girl? Perhaps a simple jinx and leave her to be found by some prefect or professor?

" Actually I don't recall saying anything about him. I never even said that I think he's the best thing to walk the earth. But I have an idea of the worst thing." She really did think he was the worst thing to walk the earth. But what was he thinking why would they give them classes to worship Harry. She knew who he was her brother had told her all about him, but honestly worshiping him that was ridiculous. She laughed she always did when she was nervous. The weird thing was the laughs never seemed nervous just happy. Suddenly it didn't matter if he jinxed her, she felt really happy like she had just eaten her favorite food or had gotten off her favorite ride. " So... are you going to jinx me yet cause I really need to get going. And if you are going to jinx me which one will it be? Never mind I know you won't tell me that what was I thinking? I was actually thinking about my favorite foods.But that has nothing to do with what we were uh discussing."

Kris listened to the girl ramble and decided that he had actually had enough. „Well, as you so nicely ask me to curse you... I might have let you get away freely otherwise,“ A flick of his wrist and Kris’s wand appearead between his fingers once again. Drawing an almost lazy arch in the air with his wand Kris muttering „Incancerous“ calmly. He could almost hear the thick robes appearing from his wand as they flew on second towards where the Gryffindor stood. „Flippendo!“ was also used and Kris heard a quiet sound as he lazily stood and stretched while Morrigan purred contently on his shoulder. Whether out of happiness for gettin gaway form the open window or for satsifaction that the girl she hadn’t liked was so easily pushed to the side. Kris had decided not to use anything bigger. He generally dind’t bother to pick very much on first year girls, but this imbecile obviously couldn’t think for herself.

„Stay clear of me in the future or I won’t be as nice next time,“ Kris offered in a fair warning. He had only wanted to tie the girl up and leave her into the hallway corner today. Perhpas she would have the time to learn how to not corss Slytherins in the future this way as he calmly sauntered away in the general direction of the courtyard.

((Well, Kris casted 2 spells. I tried not to say how they would hit you. But due to the age difference – Danielle wouldn’t really have a chance to block or really evade them wholly, so decide yourself.))

Well he did jinx her there was no doubt about that. She had got what she'd asked for and that was her fault. But it seemed amazing to her how fast those spells could hit you. One second he said them the next she was tied up and flying backward. Then landing on her back. What did he say to me?'Stay clear blah,blah,blah won't be nice' Some thing like that.God he is such a jerk.. " That's right keep walking curse me one more time see what happens!" the words were muffled so she wasn't sure if he heard her. She wiggled trying to get out after about five min. of squirming she gave up. Might as well try to roll away. She was almost at the common room when she hit some stairs. Figuring that she'd never get up them she stopped trying. She then fell asleep hoping that someone would find her. But before she fell asleep she promised herself that she'd get revenge on him.
