Kris placed the book he had been reading back on it’s shelf in the library, when he felt something tugging at this pants. Looking down he saw a little black kitten with white spots, staring up at him and meowing quietly. “Got lost, kitty?” Kris asked, bowing and picking the kitten up. He slunged his back with his now finished home-work over his shoulder and walked calmly towards the doors out of the library, not turning any attention to the librarians glare and warning that animals weren’t allowed in the library. “Do I know you, cutie?” Kris asked scratching the kitchen’s head between it’s ears, making it purr softly, as if lay on his other hand, “You seem a little familiar. But I guess you couldn’t really tell me who you belong to, but since you decided to catch me, I think I’ll better look up however lost you.”
Kris petted the kitten while looking around the hallway, wondering which direction to take when he saw Jersey standing a bit farther, looking around as if looking for something. “Jersey,” Kris greeted approaching the girl from behind and greeted her with a nod, as the kitten continued purring in his hands, “Are you looking for something? Actually I was wondering if you know by any chance, who this kitten here belongs to? Decided to attach itself to my pants in the library just now.”
((Hope you don't mind this kind of a beginning. I saw you had a kitten at your characters profile ))

((Nope I don't mind it, I think it's a good start ) "Moo, honey, where are you?" Jersey said in a soothing voice as she bent over to check under her bed. Sighing, Jersey made her way through the room, checking under all beds and in every one of Moo's favorite hiding places, and then some. Feeling frantic, Jersey collasped on the bed and placed her hand onto her forhead. Her hand was frigid agaisnt the warmth of her forhead. Closing her eyes, she tried to think hard about where he could be. She needed to find him now, though, because he was only a kitten. Taking a deep breathe Jersey got up from her bed and stood with her hands placed firmly on her hips. She directed her attention towards the door and her thoughts ran wild as she thought of Moo being out and about somewhere in the castle. Jersey sped out of the dormintory. Not bothering to look in the common room, for Jersey knew that Moo always hated it in there. Leaving the Slytherian common room Jersey froze. Her eyes wondered in every which direction, worry and fear filling them as she wondered where Moo could be. Closing her eyes and taking a breathe, she walked slow and steady, trying to keep her cool. Her first stop near the student lounge was unsuccessful and full of chaos, for it was crowded and completely full. Aggrivated by the chaos in the lounge, Jersey continued her way towards the library, in hopes of a good outcome. Looking back and forth and in small corners in the corridors. Full of worry, Jersey felt as though she should give up, sighing she heard a familar voice calling her name behind her. He had asked her if she had been looking for something. Turning around with a frown, and a tear in eye she saw Kris standing with Moo. "Moo!" Jersey gasped. A smile spread brilliantly across Jersey's face. "Kris your brilliant, first the concealing charm, and now my kitten, you're way to good to be true!" Jersey said excitedly. Flinging her arms around his neck and planting a kiss on his right cheek. Letting go Jersey spoke, "Everytime I'm with you, I usually end up flinging my arms around you, must be some type of magnetic attraction." Jersey said with a laugh. Jersey ran her hand through Moo's smooth, and rather shiny hair. She stroked the cat hard on it's favorite place to be pet, it's back. She listened as Moo let out a purr, closing it's tiny eyes. Still rather hyper from everything Jersey spoke"Kris, I was so frantic and I was almost in tears, and then you, you showed up, and most people probably don't care if they lost thier cats, but Moo is my best friend, she's everything to me." Jersey grabbed Moo carefully out of Kris's hands and smiled, hugging Moo close to her chest. "Sorry for all the excitement and my hyperness, I'm just so happy." Jersey said as she had snuggled her face close to Moo's tiny body.

Kris smiled as Jersey hugged and kissed his cheek, before picking up the kitten and petting it. Pinching Jerseys arm lightly, so not to hurt the girl, Kris winked: “As you didn’t wake up, I obviously must be true still.”
Kris smiled and placing his left hand on Jersey’s back leaded the girl away from the library doors: ”And since it’s your kitten – Moo, wasn’t it? – I’m glad it decided to hook himself to my trousers. Besides I love to make pretty girl smile. It gives a boost to my ego as well as it’s nice to watch.”
“And of course it would upsetting to loose your cat. I would be upset. I would be destroying something, if I lost mine – IF I had one, instead of crying, but I would still be upset,” Kris answered calmly, reaching out a finger and pulling it slowly over the kitten’s back as he let his hand drop from Jersey’s back, “And I don’t mind you being hyper. As a matter of fact, I could use some fun, so what are you planning, now that Moo is safe and secure again?”
Still snuggling her head, close to Moo, Kris led Jersey away from library doors. "Yeah it's Moo, as soon as I saw the white spots, that was the first thing I thought of, and I knew right then and there I had to name her that. Kind of weird huh?" Jersey said shrugging and then began to laugh at Kris's comment about Moo clinging to his trousers. Jersey blushed and covered her face a bit as Kris said that she had been a pretty girl, and that the fact Moo had clung to him was good on his part.
Jersey watched as Kris took his hand away from her back, and placed it on Moo's. Kris then commented that he had not minded that Jersey was hyper at all, for he had wanted some fun. Smiling, Jersey stopped in her tracks, and looked Kris dead in the eyes with a mischevious look attached. "First one to the common room, wins." Jersey said as she began a full on sprint down the corridors, laughing loudly and not caring about if she would get in trouble.

Kris smiled, noticing that Jersey hid her face a little, at his compliment. Kris stopped feeling a bit surprised, as Jersey stopped dead in her tracks suddenly and looked him in the eye, before challenging Kris to a race to the common room, before taking off quickly. Kris was surprised for a moment, before he smiled and moving his bag to a more comfortable position on his shoulder, took off after Jersey.
Jersey was quite fast so Kris caught up to her as she was running down a staircase. Kris sat on the railing and glided down gracefully, calling to Jersey on the go: “What will the winner get?” Kris shouted, as he made a somersault, after reaching the end of the railing and straightening up quickly, continued to move down the hall-way. The kitten Jersey was carrying and his book-bag evened each-other out, but Kris thought cheekily on the go, that his exercises every evening and running and swimming in the summers really had paid off, so he was in pretty good shape. And he would certainly not say no to the challenge. He jogged down the hall-way, trying to listen to Jersey to figure out where exactly she was.

Jersey watched as Kris slid down the staircase. Grumbling as he had gotten ahead, she screamed back as he asked what the winner will get. Trying to save her breath for the run, Jersey tried to keep it short, "Nothing, unless you can think of something." she said as she was running neck and neck with him.
It was then that Moo had started to become figity. "It's okay, Moo." Jersey said looking down at the kitten. "We're almost there." Jersey competitive side was going crazy, as she saw that Kris had been nearly towards the Slytherian entrance. However, as Jersey tried to speed up, Moo jumped out of her arms and started to run the other way."Moo!" Jersey screamed as she stopped and watched Kris get far ahead. Letting out a groan, Jersey turned the opposite way, in order to catch up with Moo.
Jersey watched as Moo slowed down, and started to walk. She watched as Moo stopped and made himself comfortable on the ground, in a curled up ball. "What are you doing?" she said laughing. Picking up the cat, she began to rub behind it's ear's to sooth him. Then Jersey walked back around to find Kris again, and proclaim him winner.

As Kris stopped hearing Jersey’s steps, he halted and turned back just in time to see Jersey going the opposite way. Slowing down Kris walked after the girl and smiled slightly, seeing that Moo had escaped once again. “Guess we are tied, as neither of us reached the common room,” Kris told Jersey with a smile, falling into step beside her once again and seeing a first year Slytherin, took hold of his shoulder and handed the boy his book-bag: “Take it to the common room and leave it on an armchair in front of the fire.”
The first year hurried off towards the direction of the common room – Kris had given him a hand once or twice in Charms, so he was certain his order would be filled correctly as the boy half-smiled to him, sending a guarded glance at Jersey. “Guess Moo decided that the race wasn’t useful to her,” Kris continued talking ot Jersey with a slight smile.
((Eh, I just don’t have my muse with me right now, so pardon for the short and not very meaningless post))
