Mary winced as two bludgers slammed into her seeker despite her efforts. Josephine seemed to be okay and Mary glared at Kailyn for not getting there sooner, her stunt with the commentator was funny but she really needed to see the real bludgers too. Whatever, damage done, and Jo was still flying which is what really matters. Mary chased angrily after the nearest bludger and whacked at it with all her might to the blooming Hufflepuff seeker, keep them busy for once.

Kailyn watched with a sense of accomplishment as the Bludger she had hit soared nicely toward the commentator. And then, out of nowhere, Professor Hardy arrived and saved the moment. Kailyn growled with annoyance. What made it even worse then was that Professor Hardy chose to punish Kailyn of all people. Coulnd't she hear what Trinity was saying? All of the curses; the inappropriate language. Wasn't that punishable too? Apparently house lines had something to do with the way punishments were given, and Kailyn was furious to hear that Hooch would be taking point as well. This was turning out to be a terrible day.
Soon enough, the tide of the game had turned, and Kailyn couldn't help but feel that it was at her hands that Slytherin was getting all the bad luck at this point. She truly had done what any annoyed Slytherin would have done in her shoes, but it seemed that it had only brought on an array of bad consequences as Josephine got hit with both Bludgers and Hufflepuff came away with the Quaffle.
All that could be remedied though, and Kailyn knew she couldn't let one bad move stop her from getting back into the match. She flew furiously toward the open Bludger and aimed it right toward the Hufflepuff Seeker, just like Mary had.

Both his and Syd's Bludgers smacked into Josephine almost simultaneously. If that wasn't enough to keep her from searching for the Snitch, he didn't know what was. Though, he couldn't take much time to revel in his success as it seemed that the Slytherin Beaters had sent two Bludgers toward Sita. Finn flew forward to protect her.

Drake watched with amusement as Kailyn committed a foul. Quite frankly, he found her actions worth the five points that Slytherin had lost, and, had it not been for the detention she'd received, he was half contemplating flying over and taking her bat to send another Bludger that way. This time, he'd make sure it hit the annoying little Gryff.
Drake soon realized he had other worries though as the Hufflepuff captain flew away with the Quaffle after the little chaos that had ensued. This meant she'd probably be coming his way in an attempt to score. Drake focused on the Quaffle as it zigged and zagged in the arms of Ivy. He'd never let her score if he could help it.

Kael had passed to Ivy! Seth jumped up and down excitedly on his broom, delighted that Hufflepuff were gaining the upper hand. To add to his glee, his Captain was speeding in the completely opposite direction to him, searching for the Slytherin hoops being guarded by Drake Manning. "Dude, this is looking good. Go Ivy!" he shouted.

Sydney and Finn made a good team. They were strong competitors and good people. They didn't make their choices on malicious intent, but strictly because of the game. Watching their bludgers but Josephine, Syd saw the two Slytherin beaters quickly retaliate.

Yes! Kael had caught the quaffle, and had managed to pass it easily to Ivy. But the most interesting part of the game seemed to be what was happening with the bludgers...those pesky Slytherins seemed to have hit one of them towards the commentator, of all people! Anyway, that had now been dealt with now, so Sophia had to focus more on the game...in which poor Sita was being targetted by both bludgers now! Unfortunately, not being a beater at all, Sophia couldn't do anything about that, so decided to mark Adalia to hopefully stop her from stealing the quaffle back while Ivy went off to shoot.

He had successfully passed to Ivy, despite the attempted thieving and interception of the quaffle by the Slytherin Chasers. That was good news. Seth obviously thought so too, considering his enthusiastic yelling. He was more like to distract the players than encourage them, Kael thought dryly, suppressing the slight smile that wanted to rise to his mouth. Lynne had corrupted him with her fondness of Seth. When his sister took someone under her wing and fussed over them like an unwanted mother, Kael had learnt to tone down his sarcasm and irritation with that person. It just wasn’t worth Lynne’s wrath. Dragging his thoughts back to the game, Kael eyed Stephen warily and set his mind on marking him. Hufflepuff needed that goal more than Slytherin needed to stop it. Of course, Kael might be considered ever so slightly biased in drawing that conclusion.

Great! She'd managed to get in front of Adalia and everything had gone smoothly with the pass. Ivy gave Kael an exhilarated grin. She'd lost her temper with him earlier when he'd botched up his save so badly, but he was excelling as a Chaser and she was really pleased she'd chosen to substitute him into the game. "Why haven't you been playing as Chaser for the last three years?" she shouted across to him as she flew away towards the Slytherin goals, all too aware that she could have Slytherin Chasers pursuing her and determined to fend them off. Getting this goal was so important... Ivy summoned up all her aggression as she approached the goalposts, flying rather closer than she normally would before releasing the Quaffle with a huge "RAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" It might not frighten or distract Manning, but all to the good if it did and at least it meant that Quaffle was hurtling towards the goals with as much strength as she had in her.

Sita goggled a bit as she saw two successive Bludgers smash into Josephine. It was nice of Finn and Sydney to help her out a little by taking out her opponent, but she wasn't so sure that it was advisable when she saw a Bludger headed at her for the first time in the game. Oh no... two! TWO? It was obviously retaliation.
"Eep!" Sita yelped, while keeping a very wary eye on each of the Bludgers. She had almost zilch experience of dodging Bludgers and now she had two to dodge at once. 'Why me?' she lamented hopelessly to herself, although she knew very well why. She supposed she might as well try to look for the Snitch until they got a bit closer... before they could smash her out of the sky.

Syd watches as Sita, dodged the loose bludger. "Nice Work!" She shouted as she passed her trying to catch up with the loose ball. The game was well under way and Sydney was in the mood for a win. She felt like she was doing well in the game, but wanted to do better. She wanted to help out her chasers more, than just prepare for the end of the game. Getting behind the bludger, Sydney sent it flying across the pitch.

Drake smirked as Ivy was unable to get the Quaffle past him. She was a formidable opponent, but he'd be sure to make it look as though Hufflepuff didn't have a chance in the world at scoring. Sadly enough, despite their ten point lead, Slytherin wasn't playing as good as it might have seemed. The Hufflepuff Beaters were really tough today, and it seemed that the Chaser battle was almost equal at times. For now though, Drake just needed to get the Quaffle back into the hands of one of the Slytherin Chasers. He eyed Adalia as the best option and threw the Quaffle her way.
At that point, he realized that there was also a Bludger coming toward him, and so Drake prepared to dodge it if it got past the Slytherin Beaters. "Mary!" he hollered, hoping to get the attention of the Slytherin captain. "Need your bat!"

Needless to say the last couple bludger hits kept Josephine preoccupied with pain instead of looking out for the snitch, as it was though she pulled herself together. Making a quick turn she rubbed her arm. She was definitely going to need to get her arm checked out by Madam Pomfrey. Until then though she'd ignore the pain. Right now all she cared about was finding that blasted snitch.

"DAMN!" Ivy shouted, really annoyed as Drake saved the shot. Even for her, she was getting pretty worked up about Quidditch. Usually she felt more in control, but today everything seemed to be going against her team at the most important moments, and no matter how well they played (and they were playing really well!), they couldn't seem to succeed. They had no hope of challenging for the Quidditch Cup now, there was only the hope of defending this match against Slytherin because Hufflepuff certainly deserved it more. She hoped that Sita would prove herself as a Seeker... now there was a gamble and a half.
She was determined to get the Quaffle back in Hufflepuff's possession as soon as she could, and as she saw the direction of Drake's pass she darted in between him and Adalia, furiously snatching at the Quaffle as she tried to intercept the pass.

"Oh no." Seth bit his lip. Ivy had just failed to score. Damn Drake had saved it. Now the Quaffle was bound to be coming towards him, heading his way. "Please let them intercept, please let them intercept," Seth chanted, praying the Quaffle would come no closer than half a pitch.

Waahhh... Finn's swipe at the Bludger hadn't stopped it from heading at her and now she was going to have to dodge it! Luckily for Sita, Finn had at least taken a bit of pace off the Bludger so it wasn't quite so difficult to dodge as she'd feared. Up, up, up she rose, watching the Bludger continuing to rise towards her, and then she dipped downwards with exhilarating speed, the Bludger much slower to change its path. That kept it away from her for long enough that Sydney could come and whack it at a Slytherin instead... much better! The first ever Bludger she'd needed to dodge and she'd managed it! Sita was pretty chuffed.
She didn't know how long she had before the next Bludger attack arrived courtesy of the Slytherin Beaters, so in the meantime she resumed her slow, boringly methodical search of the boring, featureless blue sky.

Mary was sticking to Jo when she heard her name being called by Drake and realised there was a bludger coming after him… and one after Jo… and they both dodged. Mary glared at Drake for distracting him from the seeker and almost getting the both of them killed, or splattered, whatever. Not that it was his fault really but… Mary was getting annoyed with these chasers and sped off after the closer bludger, the one that had almost hit their seeker. “Heads up” Mary mutters as she hits the bludger, aiming for the Hufflepuff seeker.

The quaffle is coming… and coming… and there is Ivy in the way. Adalia could just reach out and hit her… but Hooch really wouldn’t like that. So instead she makes a mental note to make this girl’s life a disappointing hell. Adalia knew people, and they knew people, and this girl could learn about interfering. Everyone said it was just a game but… it’s supposed to be Adalia’s game. ‘So, that’s mine’ Adalia thought as she sped after the Hufflepuff girl trying to punch the quaffle out of her arms.
