She was still working on her courage, especially among multiple people. She hand managed to just but disapear her first year, and she was determined to be remembered by at leat someone her second. After a moment she looked up at Dean and smiled slightly. He seemed nice....and knowing a sixth year might come in handy. And Gryffindor was a good house...
"Yeah....you could come along too" she added, thought she knew it wasn't needed since Artimis had just said it, she was just trying not to be the one who stood there--silent.

Artemis sighed, letting the temptations release from his breathe. He began to walk with Dean and Nokomis. Diagon Alley was beginiing to become very full, and the streets began to be hard to walk in. It was amazing, there was so many people, but yet he had not met a pureblood, "sad" he thought, Looking back at Nokomis.
"Any way Nokomis, please go on about yourself, do you partake in quidditch?" he asked this time in a calm polite voice.

She walked along after him, glancing over at Dean again to see if he was going to come too.
"I have never played, but I would love to some day"
She had told her mother all about the magical sport when she got back for school, and proceeded to begfor a broom. She despratly wanted to learn how and maybe try out for the Hufflepuff team, but the only reply she got was 'maybe for Christmas.'
She tried to move the conversation along, knowing that he didn't like her pauses.
"What about you?"

Artemis grinned, they were going somewhere, Nokomis was learning fast. Artemis looked ahead as she spoke. Looking at the people, exiting and entering shops, some wizard and witches apparating out of nowhere. Artemis had been so wrapped up with this girl that he had totally forgotten about the dangers that lay ahead. By now, his mother was sure to have found out about his disappearance, and had already sent out their butlers.
He looked around in alarm, checking if anything was out of the ordinary, his heart beating, began to calm when he saw that they had reached the shop so that they could get Nokomis's quills and parchment. "In here." He said hastily. leading her in.
When they entered, he replied to Nokomis's question. "Yes, I play quidditch, I own a firebolt, and I enjoy player seeker, keeper or chaser." He said in yet another emotionless voice.
"well, let's get those things of yours." He said as he walked around the many quills.

The shop was bustling with the activity of students buying their suplies for the upcoming school year.
"You own a firebolt?" she said in awe as they first entered, her blue eyes lookeding throught he crowd to find the wall where the quills where kept. After locating it, and pushing her way throught he crows if future Hogwart's students to the bundles she started to look over them
"You must be very good at flying to have a Firebolt"
She had taken to it pretty well, considering that the only time she had flown was in her lessons at school when she was a first year. She had read enough about brooms though to know that a Firebolt was the broom everyone wanted--it was the one she wanted.

Artemis rolled his eyes, "Of course I know how to fly, and I'm pretty darn good at it." He retorted, as the girl began to pick up quills. He watched as she picked them up from a section he had not seen when he had shopped here before. He had bought only quills made from both phoenix and griffin feathers. But then again, that was required from people as wealthy as himself.
He watched as Nokomis continued gathering hersupplies, glaring coldly at htose who dared to push themselves into him. He crossed his arms, waiting for her to break the silence, to finsih her shopping.

It took her a few more moments to find a quill she liked and she picked it out of one of the bundles and spun around ot face him again, smiling slightly
"So....are you going to try and play on your house team eventually?" She asked as she moved through the crowd again to pay for her quill.
She knew that first years weren't allowed to have brooms at school, but one could still im for that. he definatly seemed the type to have his sights set on that too.

Artemis stared at her, she was stumbling yet again. And still he showed no sympathy, after all, he didn't care.
"Hufflepuff..." he snorted, "Very well, I am in Slytherin, I don't think you should meddle with the likes of me." he said with a maliceful grin, trying to bide her on. "Look Nokomis, you may have been in hogwarts longer than I have, but that attitude you have gives me this feeling that you were one not to stand out." he said coldly. Afterall, he was one to always tell the hardcore truth.
"I suggest to toughen up, you keep stumbling over nothing, stop falling over NOTHING!." Artemis said raising his voice. He felt better venting his anger. Feeling better, he looked at Nokomis with his maliceful grin

She looked at him compleatly shocked. She wasn't expectin that outburst. It took her a moment to gether her thoughts enought to reply.
"Theres nothing wrong with Hufflepuff!" she said first, her words almost louder than even she had inteneded, making her eyes widen slightly.
"And I can...I can medle with who I like, even if I stumble."
After she spoke she just stood there, unable to believe that she had actually said them to the boy. So what if he was a Slytherin, there wasn't a rule against them being nice to Hufflepuffs.

Artemis stood perfectly still, apparently unharmed by her words. To him, they were just a bunch of gibberish. After a few minutes he began to circle her clapping his hands together. "Bravo, Bravo Nokomis." Artemis said with his malicful grin. "You have done it, you've had an outburst." He congratulated her still with his grin.
Truthfully, he as somewhat proud of her, some progress was being made today.

She stood still for another moment, letting the scene that she had created sink in for another moment. She couldn't believe that he had just created an outburst, just as he had said. She had never had an outburst before, and never in public!
It seemed as if the crowds were unwavered though. Some had paused for a moment, but most had now moved on their days already too full to spend time staring at a twelve year old who just stood up for herself.
After a moment she noticed his grin, and her blue eyes watched him for a moment
"You wanted me to do that, didn't you?"

Ayumi was doing her usual shopping in the Quill shop. She was searching for the perfect phoenix feather quill. She was in a normal state when she heard a sudden outburst from the other side of the shop. She rushed towards the commotion and saw that a tall girl was yelling at a black haired girl with blue eyes, who apparently was grinning. AStounded by such actions, she moved closer to the boy and saw that he was responded.
Amazed by his answer, Ayumi took her chance to talk to the boy, who she guessed was most likely a pureblood. Ayumi walked towards the two and said, "Hello you two, so tell me, what's the commotion?"

Artemis watched as Nokomis's face changed it's expression, that was all very delightful for him. "Of course I wanted you to do that." He said in a cool voice, much more calm this time.
He turned to a voice that had summoned both him and Nokomis and saw that a girl stood in front of them, she had shoulder-length black hair with crimson eyes. She too looked like a first year. He smiled, she was pretty, he thought to himself.
"Well hello there, I am Artemis Fowl III, and this comotion was basically a test that I out upon this girl." he said pointing to Nokomis.

She sighed slightly, wondering what his 'test' was about. Now this other girl came over, and she wondered if she was a Slytherin too. Maybe that was why Artimis talked to her differently. She thought about offering her name, but the two seemed to be talking as if she wasn't standing there anymore she she fell silent, just watching the other two.

Ayumi smiled at Artemis, "Ah Fowl, the famous Fowl family, my pleasure to be in your prescence." She said with a slight bow. I am Kimoto, Ayumi Kimoto." She said gracefully.
She noticed the other girl and looked at her, "Why hello there." She said pleasantly "What is your name? Tell me about yourself." She asked with a smile on her face.

Artemis looked at Nokomis who was still in her surprised and confused expression, he smiled, this was the best thing that had happened today.
Turning back to the girl who had already introduced herself he smiled, "Kimoto, famouse Japanese pureblood family." He said, "Ayumi, hm the halfblood." He said his smile fading. "That does mess up a little doesn't it?"
He turned back to Nokomis who was now being engaged into conversation with Ayumi.

The moment was over for her boldness, and now she watched the other girl. So she knew about the Fowls? Maybe it was a Slytherin thing...
"I'm Nokomis Astarra" she replied, watching the two for a moment longer
"I'm a Hufflepuff, second year"
While most of her courage from the outburst ha drained away, she still said her house and year with pride. She was happy to be a Hufflepuff, and even happier that she would already know her way around Hogwarts when she got there this year

Ayumi continued to watch the girl who had said her name was Nokomis, her crimson eyes gazed at her, watching her every motion. Ayumi was one to do that.
"Nokimis, nice name." She said with a smile. "Nice to finally meet a hufflepuff, I'm in Gryffindor first year." She said with a confident smile, "So have you finished you're shopping yet?" she said.
Looking back at Artemis, she grinned, "And I'm guessing you're in Slytherin first year too." She said,she brushed back her hair and smiled at the two of them.

"Almost" she repied, the relief she felt showingin her voice as the other girl smiled. She was glad that she had at this girl eemed to be rather friendly
"Artemis took me here to get a quill" she replied quickly. She wanted to say something, and she opened her mouth and that just came pouring out.

Ayumi looked around the shop, it was full of many students picking out their quills and parchment. She could feel it in here bones, school was coming, and fast. Ayumi looked back at Nokomis and grinned, "So what else do you need?"
Ayumi asked as she looked around, considering that loss of buying a phoenix feather quill, "Can you hold on, I just have to get one more thing here." She said as she walked away.
