Jill pushed some of her hair over her shoulder and continued to stare out at the ocean. It was still early in the day, so it wasn’t blistering hot out. Not that it was ever blistering hot out… well not anywhere near London, anyway. Jill wasn’t sure where they were – she had just apparated them to some beach she had in her memory although she had never been to the beach. It didn’t feel hot out, though, so she figured it was a nice day at the beach and she liked it. She turned her attention to Payton when he started talking about she just crushed all his secret hopes and dreams. A laugh escaped her lips and she sent him an apologetic look before threading her fingers through some sand and picking it up, letting it sift through her fingers.
“Oh?” She questioned, looking up at him again, “It’s not that you aren’t good enough for me, Payton. No one is good enough, or have you forgotten? Prince Charming stopped existing a long time ago.” Jill looked down again and sighed lightly, but the small smile still on her lips at his next words. She drew a star in the sand and then shrugged, “Depends. Does the dark side have cookies?” Her eyes lit up as she lifted her head and flashed him a large and bright smile. Then she looked back to the sand and then continued to draw things in the sand. Was he right though? Had she stopped being a cynic toward romance and love? Or was it just with Payton that she was comfortable with those things? If she talked about them with anyone else, would she have the same reaction…? The thoughts circled through her head, and Jill continued to draw circles and what not in the sand. It was then Payton picked up her hand and kissed the back of it. She turned to him and raised an eyebrow slightly at him, “Playing the role of Prince charming now?”

He couldn't help but laugh at her cookie comment. It was a rather reasonable question in his opinion, but then he thought that a day should never pass when one didn't have some kind of sweets. He was still holding Jill's hand after he kissed it, his fingers moving idly against her own. "Now didn't you just say that Prince Charming stopped existing?" Glancing back over at her an easy grin was on his face. "If you ever want him back though, just say the word, because he's right here waiting." He paused for another moment, his gaze still settled on Jill. "Now though, for this very important cookie business; as the self proclaimed king of the dark side, you can have all the cookies your heart desires. Consider it a perk of crossing over."
His former easy going grin grew wider, as he turned his head to face back up at the sky, her hand still in his, which he held so that it could rest upon his chest. "I wast thinking we find a club near here...didn't we talk about trying to hit one up back over Beltane?" After another pause he glanced back at her, that same wide grin on his face as his eyebrows raised, his thoughts now focused on the future. "But your not allowed to keep me out all hours of the night. I plan on coming by bright and early tomorrow with far too much stuff and brothers to carry it."

Jill smiled but shrugged slightly, “The prince charming that little girls dream of that are in the Disney movies, is the prince charming that stopped existing. Prince charming who kisses my hand out of nowhere seems to be alive in front of me.” She used her free hand to pick up a grape and put it in her mouth. She bit down and then turned her attention back to Payton as he said he was right there waiting. Jill’s smile grew and she swallowed the grape as he started talking about the cookies. “Yes, cookies are very important. One of the most important things in the world. Cookies always make you feel better, no matter what.” She sent him a quick smile and then looked away for a bit.
He then mentioned hitting a club like they had talked about at Beltane, her eyes met his as he declared she wasn’t allowed to keep him out all hours of the night. When he said he planned on showing up early tomorrow with a lot of things and brothers, Jill’s eyebrow rose; “Oh? Brothers, plural? Which may I ask? I want to be prepared for anything. And don’t worry about keeping you out all hours of the night, I plan on needing a good night’s sleep anyway.”

He grinned when she repeated brothers, and commented on how it was plural. Yes, he intended to rope as many of them in as he could. He had been rather serious when he stated that he would have lots of boxes, and he plane don carry as few of them as possible. "Not quite sure who I will have with me exactly. Rowen shouldn't have plans, and I'm not sure he will help willingly, but with an offer of paying him for his time, I'm sure he will come around to the idea. Logan will have morning training--hes captain of his football team at Uni, and he rather it very seriously. Not sure what Alex is up to...but I can have Dill there if I can managed to wake him up...not sure I want to trust him with any of my boxes though." He laughed, thinking about trusting Dillion to walk down the street with a box of his things. Thankfully with magic he could charm his things smaller, but it would be easier to have help with carrying them as well...Dillion though would probably leave them somewhere on the street after being distracted by...whatever it was that distracted Dillion.
They spent the rest of the afternoon chatting about the move, and if there was anything else that needed to be taken care of tomorrow. They talked until the sun could be seen setting over the water, and when there was a lull in the conversation Payton pushed himself up, and looked over at Jill, a wide grin on his face. "I do believe its time to go find that club. After he was standing he extended a hand down to Jill, helping her up before with a few flicks of his wand, their picnic was gone, only one of the flowers, which he reached down and grabbed before he finished clearing this up, remained. After stepping closer to Jill, he slipped the flower's step behind her ear, before smiled at her and nodding. "Ready?"
He didn't really wait for an answer, instead, he took Jill's hand in his and made his way across the beach and towards the grass that grew just beyond it. From there he paused, looking down the shore until he could see a cluster of buildings--and one of them was bound to be a club. The walk along the shore wasn't long and as he had predicted the third building down had a gleaming blue sing that said 'Waves' and wide open doors that let the music from inside course out onto the street. Payton spoke for a moment to the man at the door, and then glanced back at Jill, who's hand he still held in his own, and smiling at her he motioned for her to come in with him.
The club wasn't packed yet, but a fair crowd had come in off the beach. He walked through the small groups that were already forming and made his way to the bar calling an order for drinks over at the man who tended it. As he waited he turned back towards Jill, flashing her a smile, only a moment before he heard his name called out form somewhere behind him, and he glanced over to see a boy who appeared to be about their age. A wide grin crossed his face and he stepped forward, his hand slipping away from Jill's for a moment. "Ivan...man its been a while huh?" The boy, who had blonde hair just barely long enough to pull back into the tight ponytail he nodded at the comment. "Yeah, not since last summer. Still can't believe you go off to some boarding school--you miss all the action here." Payton grinned at the comment and shrugged. Ivan was a good guy he knew from before Hogwarts and still hit up the clubs with when he was home over the summer. Ivan seemed to catch a glimpse of Jill, who stood behind Payton and sent a question glance towards his old friend. "Ah yes, Ivan, this is Jill, a friend from school, and my new flatmate. Jilli, Ivan and I are old old friends...I knew him back when his hair was so short you could hardly tell what color it was." He grinned for a moment, glancing over at Jill before looking back at Ivan. "Great to meet you." Ivan said before nodding, and glancing over at a group of people who were making some gestures for Ivan to come back over. "Well, you know I hate to run on you, but you know how women are...you got my number though mate, give me a ring. Oh! And happy birthday, coming right up there isn't it." Pay nodded, giving Ivan another smile before his friend disappeared into the crowd. His attention now turned fully back at Jill he saw that their drinks had been placed on the bar before them. "Now, I say one drink then we hit the dance floor."

Jill’s smile grew even bigger as he mentioned that he might not trust Dillion with any of his boxes. She didn’t know Dillion as much as some people did – but she figured there was a good reason behind that. Simply because he was easily distracted, one moment he could have his mind firmly set on getting to the flat with the box safely – the next he could be chasing something down and/or lighting of fireworks. “Great, well, I guess that works out fine. I’ll give you a key tonight so you can let yourself in if I’m not awake by the time you get there. Depends on how late we stay out,” she grinned even wider at him and then stifled a yawn. Already the early start on the morning was getting to her, but she wasn’t going to let it show that she was a bit tired – she wanted to have that night out and she would.
The rest of the afternoon flew by. They talked about the move and everything under the sun that could be addressed about the next day. Jill hadn’t even paid any attention to the time and when the sky started to grow darker and the conversation started to drift off – Payton got up and stated it was time to go find the club. She took his hand that he offered and stood as well – and in moments their little picnic was gone, except one flower – which he put behind her ear. Jill smiled and tucked it a little bit better so it wouldn’t fly out. He asked if she was ready and she nodded once with a soft smile on her face.
They made there way through the beach to a strip and then toward a sign that read “Waves” on it. Music could be heard, and Jill’s stomach did flip flops. A lot of firsts today. First beach, first club. What would be next? She was a bit tense with anticipation, but holding onto Payton’s hand made her a bit calmer than she normal would be. She followed him in after he spoke to the man at the door, and looked around at the club. It wasn’t packed, but she knew it would be soon and that was what Jill was apprehensive about. It was only moments later that Payton was recognized and he began a conversation with some guy he introduced as Ivan. She smiled when she was introduced, “Nice to meet you.” Then she laughed at what he said about the hair. She fiddled with flower behind her ear as Ivan said he had to go, but her head snapped up not too sharply when he mentioned Payton’s birthday coming up soon.
When Ivan had left, she raised an eyebrow at Payton, “Your birthday is coming up soon, is it? And you didn’t think it was vital for me to know this?” Her lips were still teasing with a smile, but she wanted to show up as a bit annoyed with the fact that he hadn’t mentioned it. “So, tell me, when is it exactly?” She reached over a bit and took her drink while sipping it – her eyes still on Payton.

After another sip of his drink he looked back at Jill, shrugging a bit when she commented on his birthday. It wasn't the type of thing that normally came up in a conversation, and then there as the added element of the excitement over the move. "Its the thirtieth...and I try not to spread it around, people do strange things like give you presents and throw you parties." He sent Jill a sideways glance, a very Payton-like grin crossing his face. "So no ideas how, got it?" His grin became more defined, and his eyebrows raised slightly as he eyed her for a moment, trying to decide if she was the type to try and pull something together. It wasn't that he didn't like the parties, cake and presents--it was on the contrary rather. He enjoyed it all, but sometimes birthday's just seemed far down on the list of important things. "If you insist though I'm sure we can find some way to celebrate. I believe we are proving rather good at celebrations." He flashed Jill another smile, thinking that every time they went out it was to celebrate. They celebrated Joann's wedding and now they were celebrating their future as flatmates. His thoughts were lost for a moment, and soon he took in his last sip of the drink he ordered and turned his attention back towards Jill, a wicked grin crossing his face. "Now, I believe I said after a drink we were dancing.
Hardly waiting for a response he slipped his hand back over Jill's and started his way towards the dance floor, which was already starting to gather small groups of people. It would be the third time he danced with Jill, but this was different. The first time had been formal, even if the situation was not, and the second was a concert, which was far from actually dancing. Club music was more free style, but still a very distinct type of dancing. Once they were well into the forming crowd he turned back to face Jill, still holding her hand in his, he stepped closer towards her, closing the distance between them before he started moving to the beat of the music.

"Oh, yes, how strange." She said with a smirk on her face, lifting her glass to her lips once more. Her? Pull a party off? Nope. She couldn't do that. Maybe some help from Joann would work, but Jill couldn't pull off a party on her own. She put the thought of just a night in at the flat for a celebration, little things like that seemed to be what would be next for them. They had already celebrated things, and it seemed that a quiet night in with movies and a nice dinner when the time comes. With a slight shake of her head, she finished off her drink and then allowed Payton to pull her to the dance floor. It's funny to think that days ago she wouldn't dance with anyone, and here she was willingly doing so with Payton - again, though, she figured he was the only person she ever would feel comfortable dancing with.
This type of dancing was different than the other types they did. Though Jill had never been to a club, this type of dancing was much more freestyle than before. It wasn't formal ballroom type, but it wasn't thrashing about like the concert - which Jill was quite thankful for, considering it might not be a good idea if she was dizzy or whatnot. She might just get dizzy later on with how quickly the club was getting crowded in. Jill drove away the thoughts and focused on the music and the dancing, just going with it. She looked up at Payton with a large smile on her face, he rmind whirling with a lot of thughts - but not speaking any of them.

The music blasted loud enough that words spoken would not have been heard, instead he danced in silence, moving with the beat of the music in anyway that seemed fit. Somehow, over the years and far to many nights at clubs, Payton had emerged a reasonable dancer, and it showed now as he danced, his attention obviously still focused on Jill as they danced. He kept her hand in his, and when the music called for it he let his other hand rest on her hip. He danced to the never ending music until the crowds around them grew even further, and the heat of moving bodies surrounded them. Finally he leaned in so that he could speak directly into Jill’s ear. “I say we get another drink.” After he spoke he stepped away from her, and his hand holding firmly onto his he walked back towards the bar, leaning over the counter to order them more drinks.
He turned his back against the bar, leaning against the wood as he looked back at Jill, not noticing that he still held her hand, even if he didn’t need to in order to keep her close as he had earlier when they worked their way through the crowd. “This is just a taste of clubs you know. Wait until I get you to one of the London ones.” He flashed her a bright grin, noticing a movement of the tender behind him he saw that their drinks had been brought ofer and he picke dup Jill’s and handed it to her before taking his own. “You know…your not to bad on the dancefloor though. I may want to keep you away or else it will be hard to keep away all the men who want a dance of their own.”

The songs changed every now and then, and their dances changed accordingly. There were more people coming and going and the dance floor became more crowded. Jill didn’t notice it though until she heard Payton’s voice in her ear saying it was probably a good time to get another drink. Her hand still in his, she followed him off the dance floor to the bar where they had ordered drinks before. Payton ordered more drinks and then turned to look at her. There was silence, well from them, for a bit before he spoke again. Jill smiled, “I have feeling that will be something we do often enough,” she replied as he handed her drink to her.
He then said she wasn’t too bad on the dance floor and he may want to keep her away or else she might be surrounded by men. Her eyebrow rose and she shook her head as she brought her drink from her lips, “Honestly?” She started as she looked off to the dance floor and watched everyone else having fun and dancing openly. Her gaze turned to Payton and she shrugged, “I don’t think I would be able to dance with anyone else.” She took another sip of her drink and looked back at the dancefloor, just watching. She finished her drink and then set it down, before turning to Payton.
"Can we go?" She asked, "It's not that I don't like it, it's just that it's getting pretty crowded in here." Before he could respond, Jill grabbed grasped his hand a little tighter, and weaved her way through the crowd to the door. People were going in as they were going out - and when they emerged Jill breathed in sweet air. She closed her eyes to the night air and then turned to Payton again, "Sorry, I just was getting a bit claustrophobic?"

He grinned when Jill looked at him as if she didn't believe his comment of her being rather good on the dance floor. He had meant it even if she didn't necessarily believe him, though it did make him smile a bit when she said that there would probably be no dancing with anyone other than him. He had to admit that he didn't exactly mind the idea, even if it hadn't been his idea originally. He took another sip of his drink, before reaching into his pocket and pulling out his wallet, putting th payment for their drinks onto the bar before he focused back on Jill, who just asked if they could go. Jill didn't exactly wait for a reply, instead he found himself being dragged out of the club and back onto the street.
Their first step out of the club he was hit by the cool ocean breeze. He knew it was hot int he club, but he hadn't realized how hot until that moment, an he took a long breath in, letting the cool wash over his face for a moment. "No worries" he commented as Jill apologized. "Well have you over that claustrophobic thing in no time...besides I said that I wanted to get home early, you are just making sure we don't get carried away and stay up to all hours." He flashed Jill a bright grin, and gave her hand a squeeze. "We can just call it a night, and get you back to our flat...I meant it when I Said I'm moving in bright and early...or as early as I can manage to get my brothers up and out of bed to help me." Thanks to work he had become a bit of a morning person. He was normally at work by 5:30 in the morning, so getting up in time to finish packing up his things was not going to be a problem.
Less than a minute later they were both standing in the now Sawyer-Moore flat, and he still held Jill's hand as he let both of their stomaches catch up with them. After they had both regained themselves he gave her a soft smile. "Well, I guess I will get going, give you plenty of time to panic about the fact in 12 hours you get all Payton, all the time." He grinned again, reaching up to adjusted the flower that he had tucked behind her ear earlier. Somehow it managed to say despite the dancing the did at Waves. "Well, my aim is to be here at about eight tomorrow. I figure I may be able to get Rowen and Dillion by by then." After another soft smile he leaned forward, giving Jill a brief kiss before he stepped back and let her hand slip from his. "Sogni d'oro" he said, giving her another smile, his eyebrows raised slightly before he turned and reached for the door knob, and withing seconds he was gone.

Out of the corner of her eyes she sent him a look that was a bit motherly for her taste, but he was right. She was thinking it was a bit late and figured they should be heading in anyway. She nodded in agreement when he said they could call it a night and before she knew it, they were back in the flat. Her eyes closed, and she regained her composure before opening them again. When Jill did open them, Payton was saying he should go to give her time to panic. Her face lit up with another smile and she shook her head, “No panicking needed, I think I’m looking forward to sharing a flat with you. After all, you cook. That means no more ordering in for me.” She grinned as he adjusted the flower behind her ear.
He kissed her after saying he was going to try to arrive at eight. She felt her eyes widen, but then they softened again and she grinned, “Good thing I got us home early then, eh?” It was then he said something in Italian, she was sure. Of course, she didn’t know what it meant – but she made a mental note to ask him tomorrow. When he was gone she made her way to her bedroom and closed the door, taking the flower from behind her ear and placed it in the drawer in the nightstand next to her bed. Someplace that she kept things that meant something to her. She then changed out of her clothes, set those in the dirty clothes hamper and changed into pajamas before crawling in bed and falling asleep; dead tired.
