It was a sunny Wednesday afternoon. The sun was out and became covered by moving clouds every once in a while. There was a slight breeze keeping the air cool. In the hallway under the stadium Cole Waters walked towards the locker room. It was his first game on the minor league team the Hawks. Cole could hear the stands start to get full of people coming to watch them play the Cannons minor league team. Cole looked at the ground as he walked thinking. He was a little nervous witch surprised him. "This isn't the first time I've played." Cole said to himself as he walked. He didn't know why but he felt like this was his first game all over again.
As he got closer to the locker room Cole ran into one of the beaters for the team. His name was Tim. He was about 6'5 with a dark complexion. He was 24 a whole 8 years older than Cole. "You ready for this?" Tim asked patting Cole on the shoulder. Cole nodded nervously. "Oh don't worry about it. I've seen you in practice this Inst anything you cant handle." Tim said reassuringly. Cole smiled and said "Yeah your right. Let's go get ready." Cole turned right down a hallway and walked straight into the locker room.
The whole team was in there getting dressed. As Cole walked by people they patted him on the shoulder and told his he would do fine. With all the support Cole began to become more confident in his abilities. When he got to his locker he saw flowers in it. Reading the card he saw they were from his mom. Cole smiled and set them down. He took off his robes and reached out and grabbed the black and gray Hawks robes. Cole held them in front of him and read his last name on the back. This was his dream come true. Cole put on his robes and then his boots. He grabbed his gloves and put them on while he walked towards the door. He checked to make sure his broom was with everyone else's and then walked out.
Cole walked towards the front gates where he planned on waiting for Dawn. He had gotten her tickets to the game so she could watch him play and he told her that he would meet her at the front gate to say Hi. Cole was glad that Dawn was coming. She was one person who would understand and appreciate Cole's passion for quidditch. When he got to the front gate he stood there waiting for Dawn. Then suddenly a little kid walked up to him. "Can I have your autograph?" the boy asked. Cole was stunned. They hadn't even got to see him play yet and they wanted his autograph. "Sure." Cole said smiling. Cole grabbed the paper and pen and signed his name. "Thank you." the boy said running back to his mom. Cole was so pysiced about being there. While he was thinking about the kid and the game he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Dawn was sitting in her kitchen enjoying a small brunch. She flipped a page of her magazine as she sipped her green spiced tea. A small house elf walked into the room and spoke in a timid but very kind voice. "Master Dawn? When you are ready, your ride is here." Fryance nodded her head and walked away. Dawn paused for a moment, as she set down her mug. "I do not need a ride today. I want to take my car." She said as she closed her magazine and pushed her seat back, standing up. Her young house elf looked a little startled as she nodded quickly and ran into the other room to tell the driver. Dawn grabbed her keys off of the holder on the kitchen wall and started toward the door. Closing the door behind her she walked down the stepps. She was off to see her good friend, Cole, play in a minor league Quidditch Game. He was pulled by some manager to sub in for someone. Cole deffinatly was a good player, she was astonished that he was picked at such a young age though. Every since they were younger and they first started flying, Dawn remembered him saying something about growing up to play Quiddich. She never took it to heart but once they started playing at Hogwarts, she knew he would go far, but she never would have thought this soon.
Turning to Dawn left, she walked on a path towards her garages. The McGrogan's weren't big on Muggle cars, but if they were to be transported like muggles, it would be in the best possible way. Clicking a button on her keys one of the five doors opened. A silver 2005 Mustang GT sat shinning. This was Dawn's only car. Since she was now 17, in muggle years she could drive at age 16. Moments later, the engine was reved up. Spinning her wheels on the ground she sped off down the street.
About 10 minutes later Dawn arrived at the stadium where the Quidditch match would be held. Parking in a clearing she pulled her purse from the back seat, and got out. Dawn, for once, was dressed down. She wasn't dressed in the finest of fabrics but she look comfortable, which to her all that mattered, due to the fact she didn't want to worry about what she was wearing when she was watching the match. It was all fun from here on out. Her hair was down over a white short sleeve ribbed top. She was also wearing quite comfortable jeans with white shoes. Pulling her purse over her shoulder she strode towards the ticket booth. Handing the man the ticket she recieved from Cole, she was allowed in. Her and Cole had plans to meet at the gates before the game. Walkign through the gates, she begain to get excited. She adored Quidditch, it was very well the only thing she let her guard down to and let loose. Slipping on her sunglasses, she started looking for Cole.
A few moments later, she was out of luck. She didn't know if she missed him or if he didn't come out yet. A little weary, she begain on her last search before she went to her seat. Walking back to the main gate she noticed a guy in a Hawks uniform standing signing an autograph. Smiling, Dawn waited as she noticed a smile on Cole's face as well. As the boy walked away, She tapped her friend on the shoulder. "Mr. Waters, Can I have your autograph?" She said joking, as she leaned in to hug him. Letting go, she spoke. "So, how excited are you?" She said smiling as she looked at his uniform. "We need new uniforms desperatly. The Hawks ones are really nice." She said as she ran her hand over the shoulder looking at the fabric count.

Cole turned around to see Dawn's smiling face looking at him. "Mr. Waters, Can I have your autograph?" Cole heard her ask. "Why of course young lady." Cole said laughing. He was so happy to see Dawn's face. He was glad she could come to support him but he was happy to see her for another reason but he couldn't put his finger on it. As Dawn leaned in to hug him, Cole could smell her perfume. She smelled great but Cole didn't think now was a good time to compliment her on her hygiene. When Dawn asked him how excited he was Cole laughed. Holding his shaking hand out he said "Excited, nervous same thing right?"
Cole laughed and listened to Dawn talk about getting new jerseys. "Yeah your telling me, mine still has someone else's blood in it. How sick is that?" Cole said laughing. Turning around he looked back wards and pointed to his name. "Look at that, stitched on and all." Cole said smiling. Turning around he said "And I even get to keep it after the game." Cole could fell himself start to calm down. For some reason Dawn had always been able to calm him down. Cole smiled and looked at her. "It's going to be a good game. The other team's chasers aren't very good though." Cole said with a sheepish grin on his face.
Then suddenly he heard a horn blow. "That's the warning horn. I have to go back to the team. Thanks for coming." Cole said. Then he leaned in and kissed Dawn on the cheek. In a flash Cole turned around and sped off towards the locker room. He could feel the blood rushing to his face. For some reason that kiss meant more to him than they did before. It wasn't the first time he had kissed Dawn. Then he found himself wondering if she would take it as more than a friend kiss. Is that what he wanted? Cole shook his head. "Focus on the game." he thought. When he finally reached the locker room a staff worker gave him his broom and said "Good luck Mr. Waters." Cole nodded and walked to the door with the rest of the team.
Cole stood in the back of the group behind the Seeker. "Don't worry about it. We have faith in you." the Seeker said. "Thanks." Cole said in focus. Then the door opened and the crowd roared as the announcer called out the names. "Your Chasers Trevor, Even, and Scott. Your beaters Tim and Roy. Your seeker Josh, and finally introducing for the first time, your keeper, Cole Waters." Cole heard his name and flew out into the air circling the pitch with the other players. He could hear the crowd roar as he flew by. This was one of the greatest feelings he ever had. Coming to the middle of the pitch he stopped and waited for the coin toss.

As Cole turned around she saw how his face lit up to see her. She was thrilled for his first game, and glad she could come. Looking into his eyes she noticed a little bit of nervousness as he even stated he was slightly. With a soft grin, Dawn listened to him. He begain to go on about her uniform comment, "Someone else's blood?!" Dawn quickly withdrew her hand from his shoulder not touching his uniform again. "Sickning, yes. Like I said, it is quite sharp. I knew I would see you in one of these someday!" She said smiling, as she added as a side comment. "You take a uniform home, with someone else's blood on it. I do hope you wash that." She laughed slightly, although she really was talking honestly.
"The Game is going to be fine! You are going to be the Keeper, you are wonderful. The score will really only depend on the seeker, due to the fact I know you will do wonderfully." she grinned. She was pouring gas on the fire, she knew that, but in all honesty he will do great- he always had a cetain nack for Quidditch that Dawn noticed at an early age. Suddenly the warning horn sounded and people around then began to make their way to their seats. Cole leaned in and kissed Dawn on her cheek- something that wasn't out of the ordinary for them. When he backed away she looked at him in the eyes and said, "It was no problem at all. Good Luck." Smiling she watched him turn away and walk back to the lockers. Standing still for a moment, she caught herself watching him walk away. Blinking her eyes she looked down at her ticket in her hand, and back at Cole. Grinning for s moment, she turned to the stadium seats and began to find her own.
Walking up two flights of stairs, Dawn got to the seats. Looking around and saw one empty one. It was quite a good seat. Laughing to herself, she made a note that she had to thank Cole for treating her so well. Sitting down the teams excaped to the field. Into the air a few players went. "Where's Cole?" Dawn wondered as the first few people came out. Suddenly the voice sounded over the speaker- COLE WATERS! "Whooo! Yeah Cole!" Dawn yelled as she clapped and watched him make his way on the field. Dawn was excited, thrilled, happy, and content at that moment. She was watching her best friend achieve his dream, well the beginning of it. He could only go up from there. "You will do great." Dawn whispered as she saw Cole take his spot at the goals.

Cole floated there watching the Ref make the opening statements. Then he got ready as the Ref began to throw the quaffle into the air. The second he let go of the ball Cole darted towards the goal posts and the game was on. The Hawks got possession of the ball as they flew towards the goal posts. Zig-Zagging back and forth the chaser moved through the pitch. Then suddenly a bludger hit the chaser with the quaffle. Cole looked at where the bludger had come from and it was one of the apposing beaters who had hit it at him. Cole looked angrily at the person not waiting for him to get hit back with one.
The opposing chaser flew fast towards Cole with the quaffle in their possession. Cole watched carefully as they passed and flew. Then Cole got ready as a Chaser entered the scoring ring to shoot on Cole. Cole began to get frightfully nervous as the Chaser threw the quaffle. Cole reached out to his right and grabbed the ball just before it went into the ring. He heard the crowd screaming as he saved the quaffle. Cole grinned and threw the ball to his fellow teammates.
As the game continued it became more brutal. People kept getting hit with bludgers and fouls were being committed left and right. Cole was hit in the left shoulder with a bludger and it was affecting his playing. He had managed to stop most of the shots except 2. The score stood 60-20 with the Hawks wining. Then as he was watching the pitch he heard a cheer arise from the crowd. Looking around he saw that their seeker had caught the snitch. Cole flew over to the rest of the team and joined in the celebration.
Cole began flying towards the locker room with the others but spotted Dawn so flew up close to her. "Hey let me take a quick shower and meet me out front." he said smiling. Cole flew off to the locker room and jumped off his broom. As he walked through the locker room all he could he was cheers and "Good game Cole." Cole had never been happier in his life. He took off his quiditch robes and jumped in the shower. After he got done he put on a pair of jeans and a black T shirt. Cole threw his stuff in his locker and walked out to the front.
When he got to the front gate he was looking around for Dawn and suddenly he was swamped with people around him. Pens and paper were thrusted in his face. Pictures of him and people yelling "Can I have your autograph?". Cole smiled and said "OK one at a time." Cole began signing when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"YEAH COLE! LETS GO HAWKS!"Dawn roared along side thousands of screaming fans. "Awesome Cole!" She yelled as her best friend repeatively caught the quaffle. Dawn was in awe. First off, she loved Quidditch. She grew up on it and couldn't live with out it. Dawn never thought of doing Quidditch as a career but she knew that she would teach her children how to play once they got of age and began to show signs of magic. Second off, she was blown away at how awesome Cole was playing. She watched him get better as the years went on, as well as visa versa. Dawn began to think back to a time he came over her house one night before he went on a vaction with his family. They played quidditch all day and all night, and loosing track of time Cole was grounded from not catching his portkey. Dawn grinned as she fell out of her memory and back into the game. "LETS GO COLE!" Dawn yelled as suddenly a bludger hit him. Standing up in her seat, she seemed like she was the only one. Cole still held on to his broom tightly, but his shoulder looked lower than the other. Like, it was to hard to sit up straight. Only three people in this whole stadium would notice. Cole, of course, Dawn, obviously, and the trainer on staff. Dawn watched Cole now with every one of his moves she saw how his body reacted to his injury. She knew he could take it. They both took several bludger hits before they were taken out of a Quidditch game, its just.... Its hard to actually watch it happen when you know you can't stop it.
The game pressed on and the Hawks were up. 60- 20. With both goals Cole missed, Dawn's hands gripped the bleacher tighter. "LETS GO!" She roared along side a few other fans. Suddenly, Dawn's eyes darted from Cole to something else. Dawn grinned. The all so faithful snitch. 'Decided to come early in the game, didn't cha?' Dawn said to herself as she began to scream. The whole crowd began to roar as more and more people spotted the golden treat. Neck and Neck the seekers sped to get the palm sized ball. A bludger flew in and missed both of them by a degree. "And... and... HAWKS GET IT! HAWKS WIN THE GAME!" the announcer shouted as The Hawk's seeker held his hand up above his head. Dawn jumped up and down as she cheered with the rest of the crowd. Soon the teams went back to the locker rooms, but Cole flew by Dawn and told her to meet him out front. Dawn smiled as he flew away. "You know that Water's guy?" a woman questioned Dawn as she walked next to her, and caught the short conversation. Laughing Dawn answered, "Yes, we are actually best friends." She laughed and gathered her things. "I had my doubts when he missed the second quaffle, but he really is awesome! No time before he goes pro big time, eh dolly?" Dawn nodded and smiled as she pushed past the woman and walked down the stairs. "Dolly? What the hell?" Dawn exclaimed to herself as she found herself a place at the fence.
She knew she would be waiting for awhile, so she walked over to the refreshment stand. "One Large Blue slushiee, please." Dawn ordered as she put down her coins to pay. Turning her head to the left, she noticed th crowd clump up. A smile randomly appeared on her face as she noticed a farmiler guy standing in the middle. "That new keeper did awesome." the woman said as she handed Dawn her drink. "Oh yeah." Dawn merely answered as she turned.
Giving Cole his space, she let him sign as many autographs as he wanted. It was his time of glory. Dawn just stood at the fence and waited till he was done. Catching his upward glance, she smiled a broad- only friends saw this smile- of Dawn's. She held up the blue slushiee and mouthe to him. "Its your Favorite."

Cole couldn't help but have a smile from ear to ear. He loved attention and this was the ultimate way to get it. Kids crowded around him with pens handing him anything they could find. Cole tried as hard as he could to sign all of the autographs that came to him. Looking down at a little boy with ashy blonde hair Cole smiled and said "Are you going to play quidditch when you grow up?" The boy smiled widely and said "I-I-I really want to." Cole laughed and signed the hat the boy was holding. The crowd began to diminish as Cole looked over at Dawn and saw her holding a slushy for him. Cole smiled and rushed over to Dawn.
Cole grabbed her by the waist and picked her up spinning her around. Then he set her down and grabbed his shoulder. "Damn bludgers." Cole sad smiling. He grabbed the slushy and took a big gulp. "That was the greatest game of my life. The adrenaline rush was intense you will never believe it." he said taking another gulp of the slushy. "Thanks for the slushy by the way. You know everything about me don't you?"
Cole couldn't help but keep smiling. He had never felt this good in his entire life. He didn't know if it was the adrenaline or the hype or what but he couldn't help but smile. Just then a photographer came and said "Smile it's for the Daily Prophet." Cole grabbed Dawn and pulled her closer with a huge smile on his face. "Thank you Mr. Waters." the man said walking away. "No problem." Cole said laughing. Cole looked back at Dawn and said "Tonight me and you are celebrating. We are going out on the town and we are going to have a great night." Cole was so hyped there was no way he would be able to just go home and Dawn was the perfect person to go out with. "So where do you want to go first?" Cole asked smiling.

Dawn watched Cole as he signed autographs. She noticed the ear to ear smile and it just seemed like he had a glow about him that shot out in every direction. Soon Dawn caught herself smiling as well. She didn't really have a reason. Suppose his mood rubbed off on into the air. A few minutes passed as Cole ran over to her. Suddenly his hands clasped her waistline and raised her alright "What the Hell!?" She said laughing as she put her hands on his shoulder for support Letting her down lightly, he grabbed his shoulder. "You are hurt." She said, as she thought to herself, 'Must have gotten hit worse than I thought.' Cole went on about going out and celebrating. Dawn nodded enthusiasticly. "Of Course. I wouldn't have it any other way." Handing Cole the drink she nodded at his comment. "Oh yea. Every little detail." shaking her head she smiled.
A photographer from the daily profit came by as Cole drew her in closer. Everything seemed to happen so far, throwing her arms around his neck, he took the picture. Nodding towards the man, Dawn looked at Cole. "Where do I want to go? What are you talking about! You get to pick. You just played the game, I merely sat there and watched." She smiled as she opened her purse and took out her car keys. "Lets just take you back to my house for a second, I want to get you fixed up." Dawn said as she motioned towards his shoulder. Talking his hand, She lead him outside the gates over to her car. "Right this way, Mister AWESOME Quidditch Keeper!" Dawn smiled, "You played phemoninal today!" she clicked a button on her keys as the car doors unlocked.

Cole smiled and said "To your house it is." As they were walking to the car Cole smiled and said "Yeah that's me." Cole couldn't keep from laughing. As they walked to her car he heard it beep and looked at it. He had never ridden in Dawn's Car before but had one of his own. "I like it. It's very you. I hate to say it though but my RSX would smoke your car." Cole laughed and jumped in the car.
The seats were leather and the interior looked really nice. "This is very nice Dawn." Cole said looking around. As Dawn started up the car Cole pulled a CD out of his pocket and said "Listen to this muggle band. there really good there called Hawthorne Heights." Putting the CD in the player Cole smiled and looked at Dawn. "So how was your seat?" he asked curiously. As they started to drive Cole looked out of the front window. "That game was so awsome. I felt like it was my first game all over again. I was nervous and excited and it was just great." he said smiling. Cole rubbed his shoulder and said "That bludger almost pooped it out the socket I could feel it hit right on the bone."
Cole looked over at Dawn and smiled. He felt so good just being in the car with her. He didn't want to be with anyone else right then. Cole noticed they were pulling into Dawn's driveway so he took off his seatbelt. Stepping out of the car he looked at Dawn and said "So what are we doing to me?"

Opening her door she stepped inside. Putting on her seatbelt, she closed her door. Putting in the key, she revved up the engine. "Right. You only wish Cole." She replied to his comment about his RSX. Shifting gears, Dawn sped off back home. "Muggle Music." Dawn's expression was flat, she glanced at Cole and said with her attitude, "You are making me listen to Muggle music!?" Dawn clicked the music button off. "I vote no music at all." Dawn gave Cole an all to farmilar glance, a -what- were-you-thinking- type of look. Turning left, Dawn drove on a straight away, straight to her mannor. "My seat was good. Thanks for the tickets. I'm glad I was allowed to come." She said as her tone of voice lightened up. Changing the subject to Cole's shoulder she listened as she thought of what may have happened. "Yea, it probably got jammed out of its socket. I never took into concideration that those players hit harder than our school's players. They most likely hit as hard as Goyle or Crabbe. Those two are beasts." Dawn commented honestly. The two Slytherin players were awesome Beaters, she was glad they were on her team.
Pulling up to the front gates of McGrogan manor, they oppened and allowed her entrance. The quarter mile driveway was a breeze as Dawn speeded up the road. at the top of the hill, The manison sat peacfully. Un-buckling her seat belt, she opened up her door. "Well a few visits back when you came to my house, remember we played Quidditch and you hurt your and, from my fabulous scoring skills?" Dawn joked. "I gave you this potion. Just a family remedy potion. You'll be healed in five minutes." Dawn said as she turned and walked up the side walk, and five front stairs. Stepping on to the wrapped around front deck, She noticed Quinn sweeping. "Hello Quinn." Dawn greeted her only elf she actually liked. Quinn nodded his head, as Dawn turned the door knob and walked in.
The house smelled like fresh air, and Tis the season. The summer weather only ment you could open your windows and take in the nice weather. Taking off her purse she set it down on a table in the main hall. Walking straight into the kitchen she spoke. "You know, you can always help yourself." She said as she motioned towards the refrigerator at her left. Walking down a stair so she would be in the kitchen working area, she opened up a cabinet and took out a glass and a bottle. Taking the cork out of the botte, Dawn poured about a half of a quarter cup of liquid. Not a lot at all, but enough. "It will taste horrid, and feel really hot as it goes down, but it works." Dawn said as she pushed the cork back into the potion's bottle. Picking the cup up, she went over to Cole and handed him the liquid.
"Any idea where you want to go?" She asked as she jumped up on to the counter and sat waiting for Cole to finish the potion. "Just put the cup in the sink." she said as she added on, "If you want to go somewhere out of Scotland, we can use floo, or I can aparate us both. But, if you want to say near here. Somewhere in Edinburgh we can easily drive." she said as she questioned once more. "Any ideas?

"No problem." Cole said about the seats. "How could I not get you tickets?" he said laughing. Rubbing his arm he looked at Dawn and said "Yea they do hit as hard as Crabbe and Goyle, maybe harder. Now if only those two knew which side of the bat to use." he said smiling. Those had to be the densest people Cole had ever met.
Cole stepped out of the car listening to Dawn talk about the last time he had been there. "Yea I remember that. If I'm right you broke my finger." Cole said laughing. He remembered that day well. Him and Dawn had been playing quidditch and Dawn was in a rage. She was shooting harder than he had ever seen her shoot before. And just like that his finger broke. He was use to pain by now though. Quidditch wasn't a sport for weak people. Cole snapped out of his memory and Followed Dawn into her house and to the kitchen.
Cole looked at the house elf as he walked into the kitchen. Cole wasn't use to talking to house elves unless he was yelling at them so he kept quiet pretending Quinn wasn't there. "Yea I know what potion your talking about." Cole said remembering now. "I never even thought about asking you for it." Cole felt stupid for not remembering simple things like that. Cole walked over to the refrigerator and said "I always do." He laughed and grabbed a butterbeer to get rid of the taste of the medicine he was about to take.
Cole took the cup from Dawn. He examined it and said "Bottoms up." Downing the cup of potion Cole made a horrid face as the liquid slid down his throat. It was the worst taste he had ever had. He grabbed the butterbeer and took a huge swig. "That was horrid." Cole said with tears in his eyes. He walked over and put the cup in the sink then walked over and stood in front of Dawn.
"Hmmm" Cole said with his hand on his chin. "Where to go where to go?" Cole thought for a minute and then it hit him. "I know a great place we can go. It's in London right outside of Diagon alley." Cole grabbed Dawns arms and pulled her off the counter saying "Come on let's go."

Dawn laughed, as Cole actually did remember about the last practice they had together. "Yeah. I'm sorry. But you knew what you were getting into. I was pissed off, and you were compelled to get me out of that mood." she nodded at Cole, in a matter-of-fact way. Cole swallowed the potion and Dawn was the look of disgust fill his face. "... told you." she said calmly and softly as he complained. "It will be over soon." She said as she jumped off the counter and walked over to him. She took his messed up shoulder and held it straight, and normal for a moment, then let go, and walked over to the refrigerator for a butterbeer herself. Walking back to her counter she jumped up on it once again and took a sip of her drink.
By this time, Cole was already going on and on about something that Dawn really wasn't paying attention to. All she caught was him saying something about "Diagon Alley", the suddenly he pulled her off the counter and pulled her toward her door. "Cole!" She said half laughing half confused as she caught her butterbeer from falling on the ground. Grabbing her purse and keys, she was out the door with her best friend making her way to her car. "Cole, London England... we're in Scotland, Edinburgh.. Remember." Dawn ruffled up Cole's hair as they stood on her porch. "Here, Hold on arm, we'll appariate." Dawn said as she held out her arm for Cole to hold on to. She was 17 and already had her license, but Cole was 16 and would be trying for it this year. "I don't want you trying on your own. No need to get in trouble this early in the summer." Smiling, Dawn spoke one last time. "I'll go to Diagon Alley, Lets hope your remember where it is from there." Clearing her mind, In a moments notice Dawn felt her body being pushed through a small opening, she was used to this feeling and every time it was uncomfortable. And within one more second, Dawn felt her feet hit ground again as she stood on the Diagon Alley street. Inhaling, she caught her balance. "Alright, Where to?"

Cole felt Dawn pull him back. He had started to leave before he even thought about where they were. "Oh yea. Forgot about that." Cole said laughing looking at Dawn. Standing next to Dawn, Cole looked at her and said "You've done this with more than one person right?" Before she answered him they were off.
Cole hadn't quite gotten used to the feeling of appartating. He had only been a couple times with his parents and that was it. It felt like he was being lifted out of nowhere and his body was being sucked into a new dimension. Finally when he felt his feet hit the ground he looked at Dawn and said "Well done."
Looking around it was starting to get dark and the alleys were starting to get more crowded with younger people. Then it hit Cole. "I forgot there was a festival tonight. That's why there so many people our age here. So now that I remember that we're going to go eat real quick then come back here. There's going to be music and food. It will be cool." Cole said smiling at Dawn. He was looking right into her eyes, which weren't to far from his own since she was almost the same height as him. Looking into her eye's he felt something different then he usually did around her. Trying to ignore it Cole grabbed Dawns hand and pulled her towards the restaurant.
Walking hand in hand Cole started talking about where they were eating. "It's a really cool place. They have food from like everywhere there. It's not really big and I'm not sure if many people know about it. The food is amazing." Cole said walking along side of Dawn. He felt so comfortable around her. It was like he could be himself no matter what. It was like nothing he had ever felt before.
Turning down a small alley Cole looked at Dawn and said "We are almost there." Finlay they reached a small building with a sign over top of it that read "The Hobbs Dinner." Cole smiled at Dawn and opened the door for her to enter. "After you madam." Cole said smiling.
Following Dawn into the restaurant, Cole grabbed her hand and walked her to a booth in the corner next to a window. The walls were covered in a pinkish plaster. There were murals of wizards and dragons all over the place. There weren't many people there except for the waitresses. Cole sat down across from Dawn and said "Pretty cozy isn't it?""

"You handled it well." She commented as she took a breath and listened to Cole. He took her by the hand. She was started at first because it wasn't a 'let me lead you' hand hold. He was talking and gawking while doing it. Dawn wouldn't fight it of course, just something she noticed that wasn't done by 'the normal Cole'. "Oh la la, I adore places like that. Kind of secluded but yet- not in a dark corner." She laughed at her comment. It seemed a bit excentric but, none the less very Dawn-like. "The food of course will be good. I am not very picky about tastes, just about the people who handle my food, is all. But I trust you wouldn't lead me to a run down shack." She said as she looked at Cole, "You wouldn't would you?" She asked softly, as she quickly shook her head and thought 'of course not'.
After a few moments, Dawn found herself lead to the place. Cole said the name as she looked it over. Slipping out her wand, she made a motion to Cole as if saying -hold-on- with out the words. Holding her ebony wand in front of her she thought of an incantation and circled her wand once above her head. A golden mist fell over her, and in a blink she white tee and jeans changed. She was wearing a ankle lenght black and white flowing skirt. Her shirt changed into a black 3/4 in sleeve with a V neck, but not showing anything. Her hair was wavy and a black pin held a few stands on her left side back. Her shoes were what she adored most, they were 50 mary jane flats. Grinning a childish grin she looked at Cole. "Okay, I'm ready." she expelled through her smile. Walking throught the door, he opened for her, she allowed him to grab her hand and lead her to a table.
"Cute, Cute, Very Cute." she commented looking around. Dawn set her purse next to her and looked at Cole. "Seems like a nice atmosphere." She said as a waitress arrived at the table. " 'Ello, I am Celia and I will be ewr waitress this evenin' . If ew need a thing, tell me." Celia said in a strong, which seemed Slavic accent. Nodding, Dawn nodded in acceptance as Celia handing the two menus. "May I start ew off with a drink?" Dawn looked at Cole, and back at Celia. "A glass of fire whiskey with lime. And a side glass of water, please." Dawn said as she opened up her menu. The waitress looked at Cole for a responce.

((Sorry its so short )) Looking at the waitress Cole said "I think I will go with a butterbeer." The waitress smiled and walked away to get their orders. Looking at Dawn's clothes Cole said "You always have to out do me don't you? You look great though." Cole smiled and looked out of a the window. There were people walking by with bags and other various items. Looking back at Dawn Cole smiled and said "So how did you like the game. I think it was spectacular." Cole looked into Dawns eyes and got lost in the open space. He had never really looked at Dawn this way and shook his head trying to regain his train of thought. "I didn't think I was going to do that good. For some reason I just stepped up and I played really well. The players on my team are great. The chasers are so organized and the beaters actually have strategies. It wasn't the same though. I was use to having you on my team. I didn't like not having you there." Cole said looking at Dawn. Something about tonight was weird. Cole felt differently then he usually did. He didn't know why he just did. Then suddenly the waitress came over and handed them their drinks. "Can I take your order now?" she asked looking at Cole. "Umm I think I will have the steak. Medium rare." The waitress wrote it down and looked at Dawn. "How about you?"

(( Its fine. You know I don't mind. All I will do is talk, its what I do best!))
Watching the waitress walk away from their table, Dawn opened up her menu and looked down into it as it lied on the table. Cole asked her about the game as she skilled through the salads. Looking up with the normal "DUH" Dawn look she replied. "I don't intentionally try to 'out do you' I just originally have better style, and it shows." She hissed slightly as she ended her sentence and looked at him. "Why thank you. You don't look bad yourself. No offense, you do tend to look better when you don't try." Dawn joked as she laughed slightly. Looking back down at her menu she read on. "I have no idea what I want." She turned the page as she heard Cole go on again. Closing her menu, she found what she wanted, and now she looked at Cole from across the table. "I adored the game. It seemed awesome.... Yes, yes. Everyone seemed to be one the same page! I wish I could just get Hogwarts like that!" Dawn agreed and went on. "You did very well. I was proud of you!" She smiled as the waitress came back with their drinks.
She asked if she could take their orders and Dawn nodded to Cole, for him to begin. When he finished Dawn opened the menu. "I would adore the seasoned shrimp. Garlic please. Also, a side of Caesar salad. Kepler dressing, lightly on the clove. Thank you." she said as the waitress nodded and walked away with their menus. "As I was saying.... Cole, that was very nice of you. But you will have to get used to it. This is my last year of Hogwarts. No more Quidditch for me after that." Dawn looked down and stirred her fire whiskey lightly as her expression her her face seemed to lower. "And you will be moving on to Quidditch full time... and me..." Dawn said as she raised her head slightly with every word, but as she ended her on her subject she gave a 'certain' look to Cole. "I am questioning myself on what I want. I put so much thought into it. I have been studding, and practicing and I know I am ready. I just need to be trusted." Looking out the window Dawn seemed to slump in her seat as she noticed the street lamps to flicker on, and the fire light to light passenger's ways. Silence fell over the two as Dawn turned her head and looked at Cole. "Well, He knows I am waiting. And if I am not accepted I will move on, and he will always know I will be willing." Dawn spoke in a softer tone. Finishing she picked up her fire whiskey and sipped it lightly. Feeling the cold vs warm sensation trickle down her throat, her mood lightened up. "Sorry." she apologized. Dawn has never apologized to anyone other than Aden or Cole, they were just the only two people in her life she actually didn't want to get mad at her. Looking at Cole, she saw a certain look about him that was strange. "Is everything alright?" She asked worried. "Are you getting a bad reaction to the medicine, or are you sick by the apparation?" Dawn asked as she moved his butterbeer so it was closer for him to reach.

Cole listened to Dawn talk about after Hogwarts. He knew what she was talking about even though she didn't say his name. Cole winced at the thought of being a death eater. Cole would gladly serve The Dark Lord but the danger was so high. He believed in what the Dark Lord wanted to do but the price of working for him was very high, and the price of not working for him was even higher. Cole had decided he would become a death eater but he would play quidditch also. Being a Death Eater wasn't a full time job. Cole was worried for Dawn though. He knew she could take care of herself, but the thought of her getting hurt because of some ministry fool made his blood curdle.
Cole shook his head trying to get the thought out of his head. "Yea I know your ready." Cole said taking a sip of his butterbeer. Cole looked outside into the darkness. The Festival was starting to go into full swing. When Dawn asked if he was OK Cole looked at her and laughed. "Yea I'm fine I was just thinking of how beautiful you look tonight." Cole looked Down trying to break his gaze from Dawn.
Finally the waitress came back with their food. "Would you like some steak sauce sir?" she asked. "Yes please." Cole said taking the bottle from her hand. Putting it on his steak Cole began to eat. "This festivals going to be pretty cool." Cole said smiling at Dawn. "I heard the weird sisters were playing." Taking a sip of his butter beer Cole looked at Dawn and said "So how is your food? Good I trust." Cole smiled at Dawn as he continued to eat his steak.

Looking at Cole, she listened as certain words excaped his mouth. He was always full of compliments, not thinking much of the statement she smiled. "Why Thank you Cole. You are always the first person I turn to when I need a 'pick me up." She grinned as the waitress showed up right in time. Putting their plates in front of them, Dawn picked up her fork, and started on her shrimp. "Yes, It is good." She nodded towards Cole In appoval as she asked the same question back to him. "Is your steak good?" A few minutes passed, and Dawn seemed to finish. Her shrip was gone, but a little bit of her salad was left. She was full. That was the reason not for finishing it, not that she didn't like it. Dabbing the corners of her mouth, she sat her napkin on her lap as she looked out the window. "The festival does look actually fun." She grinned back toward Cole. She was really in the mood to go walk around now. Dawn was an active girl, she would never be caught sitting in one place for a long period of time. The only place she would be found sitting for awhile would be on her broom at the pitch; but that was actuall activity. "So, the Weird Sisters are planning. Their must be a crowd comming tonight! A lot of people from school like them. I remember once, I was comming in from hall duity and I walked past the thrid year dorm. They were blasting their music and dancing around. I stopped in the door way and just staired. It made me laugh so hard, how fast they froze when they saw me." Dawn laughed slightly. "So many people are afriad of me. Am I really that scary?" she asked as she sipped her water. Swallowing she added, "Don't answer that." She knew how he would respond. The Cliche` Cole way, 'No you aren't scary just, when you are tempered you do seem to take it out on others.' Dawn was aware of it, but she knew a comment like that would ruin her good mood. A moment later, The waitress came to the table and handed Cole the check. (( Mine was weak. Sorry much.))

"That's always good to know." Cole said smiling at Dawn. He liked being the fist person she turned to for anything. "My steak it superb." Cole said taking another bite. The steak melted in his mouth as the flavor engulfed his taste buds. As the time went on Cole finished off his steak and all that was left sitting on his plate was his fork, knife, and steak sauce. When Dawn began to speak Cole looked at her. "Yeah it does seem like it's going to be really fun. Music, Games, and of course food. Who can complain right?" Cole said smiling. He looked out of the window looking at the people as the passed. The streets were lit with torches outside of the buildings and the moist bricks of the cobblestone streets glistened in the light.
"Yea I like the weird sisters along with the rest of the school." Cole said shyly. He wasn't one to follow the crowd. When Dawn told her story about catching the girls singing Cole laughed loudly and said "Well I bet they almost pee'd themselves." Calming down from his laughter Cole listened to Dawn ask him the question. The second he opened his mouth Dawn told him not to answer. Laughing Cole said "Yea I figured you would have probably known my answer." Just then the waitress handed Cole the check. Looking at Dawn he stuck the check out and said "Your paying right?" Laughing he took the Check back and said "Just playing."
Putting the money on top of the check on the table Cole stood up and took Dawns hand. "Come on lets go out to the festival."
Stepping out into the alley Cole looked around. It was very dark except for the torches. Many people kept walking past and talking. Many of the people looked their age and some of them Cole noticed from school. "What do you say we go to the main street and see what's going on?" Cole said to Dawn. Not giving her a chance to answer Cole grabbed her hand so he wouldn't loose her and he walked beside her to the main street. Just as they turned out onto the main street Cole ran into the owner of the Foulmouth Falcons. "O hello sir." Cole said shaking his hand. "Hello Cole." the man said "Who is this beautiful girl you are with?" Cole looked at Dawn and said "O this is Dawn McGrogan." The man stuck his hand out to shake Dawns and said "O yes your fathers been telling me you have been hanging around her alot. Well you to make a great couple." Cole started to say they weren't together but the man walked away quickly. Cole thought about it but for some reason he liked being called a couple with Dawn. Gaining his thought's Cole looked at Dawn and said "Sorry about that. So what do you want to do first?"

Dawn looked at Cole like she knew he was joking about the check. Raising her eyebrows she grinned. "Of course, If I pay you must find your own way home tonight." Cole quickly said he was just kidding as Dawn nodded. Cole helped Dawn out of her seat and walked her outside. The cold hues of the night danced away from the torches lining the street. It was a regular 'block party' per say, but larger. The fire torches danced to the music that blasted from the band that seemed to be opening for the Weird Sisters. Dawn enjoyed the music, but that wasn't all she enjoyed. She loved spending time with her friend. She hardly saw Cole often. He was too busy doing practices; or Dawn was too busy practicing herself for certain things. It was hard to get together with dear friends, but even in the hardest of times you find out who are truly there for you. Thats why Dawn loved the evening, Cole was her best friend and he was quite grand and entertaining to hang out with.
Letting Cole lead her by the hand, they turned the corner to the main street. In a matter of a few seconds Cole saw someone he knew. Dawn looked at the man with narrowed eyes in the beginning. Pushing a strand of hair out of her eyes, she recognized the man. He was the owner of the Falcons. Even though he didn't know Dawn, she surely knew him. She knew more than many people would think a girl of 17 years of age to know. Letting go of Cole's hand Dawn shook the man's hand and grinned for common curtsy. Clasping her hands in the front of herself, the man made the comment of Cole and Dawn as a 'couple'. The comment caught her off guard. Smiling she was just about to explain, but the man stepped away with a nod. "Wel..." she said a bit unsteady she looked up at Cole. He apologized as she shook her head. "It's a mis-conception. Me and you are such good friends anyone would mistaken us for a couple." Dawn shook her head. She understood how Cole's father could think that himself. They never were together over Cole's. For one reason, Cole didn't live in Edinburgh, and Dawn did. Cole visited when he went to his uncles or if he felt the need. But Dawn only int he past year was invited formally to Cole's. They hung out when they were younger but not much in the past few years. Dawn understood how Mr. Water's thought the way he did. Putting Dawn's arm through Cole's so they were now walking arm and arm, Dawn started to walk down the cobble stone road. "Lets see..... How about we play some games!" She smiled as she directed Cole to a game. "I bet I could beat your butt!" She smiled competitively as she watched the game go on.
