“One of those friends was a Slytherin? They are always moody. Give him a couple of weeks or months and he’ll come back. They need some getting used to and a lot of patience,” Dana answered with a shrug – surprisingly many of her friends were Slytherins and it really took a lot of patience and cold nerves sometimes, “Maybe not tons. How many people it would take to make it a ton of human? But rather many students of this school.”
The butter-beer taste too sweet for Dana today, so she hopped off the counter she had been sitting on and walked to the refrigerator while continuing to speak: “Who is a friend? Someone you can laugh with, joke with, feel good around and relax and around who you can be yourself. Borrow a quill from or be sure that a friend will help you with homework or getting out of trouble. It starts with small things like these. And in time these details grow into friendship strong enough, so you can tell the other person anything and will be there for your friend just as loyally.”
Finding milk Dana poured herself a class and put the milk back, before turning back and taking a sip while meeting Nasser’s eyes calmly: “Certainly you won’t have friends that you can absolutely everything without worrying that they might judge or turn against you. But friendship starts with small things and those small things you can share with a lot of others here in the school. Feel better yourself and make others around you feel better as well. Life goes on – and changes as you said – so take it as it comes and take out the best out of every day. It works – and as far as I know it’s the only way how to get through life with as little worries as possible.”
Dana answered Nasser’s smile calmly while thinking about what they would do to cheer him up. Sending a mischievous smile towards Caiest Dana grinned: “Well, it wouldn’t be half as amusing and fun if we told you now, would it? But we’ll think of something worth doing – you can count on that. That’s what Ravenclaw is famous for anyway, right?” Dana grinned – actually Dana’s own anger could flare high and quickly sometimes – she had had her fair share of detention – but that was besides the point.

Caiest chose not to speak. They seemed to be getting along fine without her inputs plus she wasn't good in the comforting department. If you needed someone to tell it to you straight no matter how brutal she was your girl but she had just proved she couldn't comfort worth anything. She got up from where she had been sitting and walked around to the other side of the counter leaning on it. What Nasser had said about it seeming tough to doubt everyone was true. It was tough and a very sad exsitance but it was how she dealt with things. If something bothered her she'd push it away. She didn't dare trust people to be there for her because when it came down to it everyone leaves. It reminded her of a movie she'd seen with one of her muggle aquaintences. The line had been Everyone in this world dies alone. It was a quote from the movie Donnie Darko and Caiest found that to be true. Caiest didn't bother trying to argue that not trusting anyone was better then trusting and getting hurt later on. No one seemed to get it so she'd just stopped trying. Instead she returned Nassers watery smile with her own half smile.
She smiled full out when Dana sent her a mischevious smile. Nasser had asked how they were going to cheer him up and Dana had responded that it wouldn't be a surprise if they told him. "What she means is we don't know yet but we'll think of something and that something will be worth it." She said walking around from behind the counter and over to the refrigerator. Dana had poured herself some milk and Caiest thought it looked pretty good right about now.

“That’s right. Girl power, or however that muggle saying went,” Dana agreed with Caiest’s words with a grin as she hopped off the counter and pulled the last patch of cookies out of the oven and left them on the table. “I better give the house-elves their kitchen back, besides I want to change into something more comfortable,” Dana smiled at Nasser before winking at Caiest cheerily, “I have a poker-game to go to. See you both around.”
Stepping into her slip-on heeled shoes Dana left the kitchen, letting the door quietly swing closed after her.
((AS we decided to wrap this post up, I at least made it official from my side.))
