Luna pulled on her necklace made out of butter-beer caps and walking out of the Ravenclaw common room backwards. Tucking her wand behind her ear after brushing her dirty blond hair out of the way, Luna walked back-wards surprisingly easily. It was Saturday. And March. Which meant that Snorgles would be extremely active today and they preferred to nestle in blonde hair. So in order to avoid the danger of becoming infested by Snorgles, Luna was walking backwards today and wearing one green and one red shoe. Luna idly pondered about how curious the fact that repelling Snorgles needed the colors of Gryffindor and Slytherin. Pulling out her wand Luna casted a charm and smiled with satisfaction as a silver snake appeared on her green shoe and a golden lion on her right shoe.
Tucking her wand back behind her ear Luna pulled out a copy of the ‘Quibbler’ and continued walking down the hallway, putting the paper down only as she descended the stairs. Singing ‘Weasley is our King’ under her breath Luna continued walking down the hallway until someone slammed into her from behind. Or front. Well, someone slammed into Luna’s back as she was walking with her back forward, then it could be taken as if someone had run into her front. “Do you know you have to stay clear of Snorgles today?” Luna asked dreamily from whoever had run into her. She would have to pass the knowledge about those creatrure on to those unfortunate enough to not know it.

Cass walked down the hallway in a decent mood that day. She was tired, but she was always tired now. She walked down the stairs and stopped at the platform. Checking her watch, she noticed it was close to dinner. Not having any real plans for the evening, she began to head toward the Great Hall when.....Wham!
She fell to the floor. " Watch it!" She yelled more protectively as she did angrily. She looked up to notice a girl carrying a newspaper. " Snorgle? What's a Snorgle?" She slowly righted herself. The bushy blonde haired girl was reading a newspaper she had never seen before, and it seemed she was walking backwards to boot.
Trying to be somewhat nice, " I'm Cass by the way. I didn't mean to sound angry a moment. I was more surprised than anything else."

The Library was not exactly his favorite place to spend the afternoon, but Hermione had insisted, and when Hermione decided that a trip to the Library was required there was no arguing wit her. He had even giving up trying; it just made her more demand with more force. Luckily though, her determination to cover whatever topic it was had only lasted an hour and a half and he was now free to make his way back to the common room and read the latest issue of “Which Broom” that Pig had managed to drop in his breakfast that morning. That was where he planned to go until he heard the tune of a rather familiar song that had been made up about him last year. Considering he knew that Harry would be busy for a while now he deiced to see who was singing. He had wanted to look at the magazine with him anyway. As he walked he hard a familiar voice mention something about Snorgles and he realized that another student had the pleasure of meeting Luna Lovegood.
"You don’t really believe that stuff, do you?"

Cass looked up at the new arrival. It was Ron Weasley from the Quidditch team. She had never really spoken to him before, but there was a first time for everything. To his question, she wasn't really sure what to believe. She was a muggle born after all, and she didn't know much about the wizarding world.
" Um, Should I?" she said tentatively. " I'm never heard of the creature actually. I was wondering if it was something I've never heard....of...before." She felt very ackward talking to the older boy. He probably thinks I'm a moron, she thought to herself.
" I'm Cassandra by the way. Cass for short. I play on the house Quidditch team too."

Pyro wandered the halls. He was bored again. Not much going on around the castle. The only piece of excitment was the kidnappings. Pyro hardly paid attention to them. They held no importance to him. Infact, he couldnt even recall the name of the previous victom. The first, if he remembered right, was one of the Weasleys. He had never met one of them yet, but he had heard of them.
He rounded a bend and noticed a girl walking backwards down the hall. "What the?" He muttered to himself. He began to walk after the strange girl when she ran into something and he heard Cass' voice. He heard the strange girl say something about snorgals. "Snorgals?" He muttered to himself, when suddenly a new voice joined them. Pyro rounded the bend and noticed the girl, Cass' and a older boy standing there. It took pyro a moment to recognize the boy. Ron Weasley. Pyro glanced at him, than at Cass, than at the strange girl. "Snorgals? What kind of nonsense are you talking about?"

Luna listened calmly as the call who had run into her was joined by Ron and then a Slytherin boy she didn’t know. Reading the Quibbler upside down once again, Luna didn’t comment until the Slytherin boy spelled Snorgals wrongly. “Not Snorgals – they’re Snorgles,” Luna stated with a dreamy smile putting her news-paper together, “Fascinating creatures. Hard to be sighted but they are very active today. There was an amazingly detailed article about them in the previous copy of ‘The Quibbler’.”
Luna looked towards Ron: “Of course I believe in them. It would be foolish not to. Snorgles like to nest in blond hair, but your hair-color is light enough so it might attract them.” Pulling out three more necklaces made out of butter-beer caps and slipped them around the necks of the girl, who had ran into her, the Slytherin boy and Ron, having to pull Ron down towards her own height before, managing the task: “These might help you all. But you should really walk backwards the whole day and preferably wear green and red.”
Luna smiled hazily as she looked down at her shoes. The snake and lion were both nice and at the same size – they would do nicely. Swinging on her toes Luna listened to the tingling of the little bluebells she had attached to the heels of her shoes.

Pyro frowned at the girl. Snorgal, snorgles, what’s the difference? Pyro looked down at the magazine she was holding, upside down, and nearly scoffed. “The Quibbler? You actually read that rubbish?” He looked over at Weasley as the crazy girl began to talk to him about ‘snorgles’. His frown only grew as she said that they like to nest in blond hair. He cast a glance over at his own hair.
“Listen, my hairs as blond as they come, and I’ve never had any problems from….Snorgles. They don’t exist.” As he was saying this the girl placed a necklace, which looked to be made of butterbeer caps, around his neck. He looked down at it, than back at her as she continued to talk about how to fend off snorgles. “Walk backwards? Wear green and red? How many screws do you have loose in that head of yours?”
Cassandra flinched as the girl placed the necklace around her neck. Still a bit confused, she shot Pyro a look. He really didn't need to be mean to to her, even if she was a bit confused.
" Well, I'll take that into consideration as I go through my day. Um, well, I don't really need to worry about the red. I've got that plenty of that on." She motioned to her school robe. " I don't have light hair either; so, I don't have to worry. Thanks for the necklace, I'll....treasure...it."
She looked up at Pyro with a quizzical look, knowing he wouldn't give her a real evasive answer like the girl. " The Quibbler? Is it like a muggle tabloid, or something...? I've never heard of it."
She looked back at the girl, and continued to try and make conversation. " Can you read upside? I mean, doesn't that give you a headache?"

Looking over at Cass, he nodded, starting to remember her from some of the practices, when a young Slytherin came up. He didn’t know him, but then he didn’t exactly make a habit of knowing who was in Slytherin these days. Then the next thing he knew he was having a butterbeer cap necklace placed around his neck. He glanced down at it, picking up one of the caps and looking at it before examining it.
“Seriously Luna, you of all people should know that stuff is made up.”
Loony Lovegood was one of a kind, and that was a good thing. He knew he couldn’t be too hard on her, her rather interesting array of knowledge did seem to come in handy every now and then, but that didn’t mean there was any getting use to her.

Luna just smiled dreamily, brushing her dirty-blonde hair out of her eyes: “Of course snorgles exist. If they didn’t exist then why would the Quibbler write about them? It’s really a shame that today, when the snorlges are extremely active, is the day when one might see Gwabbles. That is why I’m out today despite all the threats – A real Gwabble hasn’t been sighted for years. I’m sure my father would love it, if I could send him some information about the absolutely adorable creatures. Did you know that people living near the rainforests used to kill criminals with them? They have about 10 inch long poisonous nails. Absolutely fascinating animals. They are good inside so whenever they see someone not worth trusting they attack.”
Luna turned her eyes back to the girl – Cassandra, wasn’t it? - and pulled out a separate copy of the Quibbler: “It is not a regular tabloid. It informs people of the creatures so many seem to think as myths. It’s the carrier of truth. Although so many people seem to disregard that fact.”
Dana woke with a scream that morning. Everything was red and green. Everything. Including her clothes. And shoes. Dana almost didn’t dear to look at the mirror, but luckily her hair was still the same black it had always been. It was rather amusing sharing a dorm with Luna from time to time – Dana even got along with her better than the other fifth year Ravenclaws, and for that Luna sometimes took it upon herself to ‘protect’ Dana from different mythical creatures. Dana sighed and set on to search for some clothes that wouldn’t’ clash very horrifyingly, knowing the charm would be gone the next morning, but not before. Trying to get it off would just make matters worse. Finally settling on a red skirt and red boots and a green blouse, Dana looked almost normal.
Walking down the hallway again Dana heard the familiar voice of Luna and rounded the corner to come upon a small group. Cass, Pyro, Luna and Ron Weasley. “However the truth in the Quibbler can be debatable,” Dana counted Luna’s statement as she approached the group and smiled at Pyro and Cass, just nodding briefly at Ron, as she didn’t know him personally. “Luna, I wanted to… express my surprise when all my clothes and shoes were either green or red this morning when I woke up? Seeing the necklaces, may I ask what creature it is today? By the Way, Luna, do you have notes from the last Charms lesson?”
Dana grinned – the day had been rather amusing still, so she pulled out her wand and waved it towards Cass and Pyro. Giving Pyro one red and one green fuzzy bunny-slippers and Cass a green hula skirt with red flowers, even though the skirt was still made of cloth. Dana grinned wickedly: “If I have to wear such clothes today, then so do you. Think I’d have market as a fashion-guru? Want a skirt as well?” Dana directed the last question to Ron, as she tried to stifle her laughter at Pyro’s new shoes and Cass’s skirt to which she looked back to.

The quibbler? Pyro thought he had heard that name before. Wasnt that magazine complete rubbish? He looked at the girl who the Weasly boy had called Luna. "Just cause they are mentioned in some crack pot magazine doesnt mean they exist..."
Just than Dana joined the group. With a flick of her wand Pyro watched his shoes turn into slippers. He looked down at them and glared at Dana. "Hey! turn those back!"

Dana grinned wickedly and tugged on Pyro’s ear, knowing that the younger boy would absolutely hate it. But hey – it was a happy Dana in her purest form, so Pyro would just have to deal with it. Dana knew Pyro wouldn’t be irritated enough to try to hex her and even though Pyro was a Slytherin, Dana seemed to have a way with the people from that house, however grouchy and grumpy they seemed to others.
“Now, why should I get rid of them? They mirror your friendly and open personality so well,” Dana declared with a tilt of her head as she grinned at Cass, “See – Cass isn’t complaining at all about her new skirt. Besides your shoes will be back to normal by morning. If I have to wear green and red today, then so do you. Did you know that this blouse was actually white? And the skirt was blue?”
Dana tugged at her clothes – she really would have preferred to have her clothes at normal colors, but Dana decided she wasn’t irritated enough by the state of all her clothing to snap and be absolutely intolerable for the whole day. The amusement that came from sharing a dorm with Luna was usually worth the small inconveniences she brought along like today. Then again – Luna was usually away at some la-la-land, so Dana and Luna couldn’t really be counted friends either. They just shared a dormitory and didn’t even meet there often, as either Dana or on some rare occasions Luna wasn’t there. Some other members of the fifth year Ravenclaw girls really disliked the eccentric girl however. Dana had heard them complaining, but hadn’t really interfered.
Noticing she herself had gotten lost in her thoughts for a moment, Dana came back to the present moment with a grin: “As boringly cliché as this question is – how did all of you end up here and met Luna?”
He didn't really know the girlw how as approching. Maybe in passing, he was pretty sure her name was Dana and that she was in Luna's year. Other than that though, she waas just antoher Ravencalw, one that seemed not too far off from Luna herself. This green and red thing was reminding him of Christmas. He glanced unhappily over at her when she asked if he wanted a green and red shirt of his own to wear. "No bloody way. I'm not wearing green anything."
It seemed that protest was getting the Slytherin in trouble, but he still had no intention of wearing the color of Slytherin anyway. Red was just fine for him.
"I was trying to get back to the common room when I heard Luna." He glanced back over at her. The funhing was that after all of their run ins the year before, he still felt like he didn't know her at all. Other than the fact she seemed to have a warped sense of reality.

Cass looked up at Dana as she approached. " You know, your right Dana. I think we should stay like this all day!" She smiled at Dana. " Besides, it will be fun." Cass stood up and admired her new skirt.
" Oh really, Pyro. It will be fun. I bet I can keep my skirt on longer than your fuzzy bunny slippers. In fact, I bet you a whole bag of Jelly Beans that you can't do it," she smiled at him wickidly, knowing he couldn't resist a challenge.
She took the copy of the Quibbler and began to shuffle through it. " Animals, huh? I like animals."
She turned back to Ron when he mentioned Slytherin colors. " Really, Ron. You act like your going to sprout a fungus from wearing it. It's just the color green."

Chloe wandered down one of the many halls of Hogwarts, letting her mind wander. It seemed to her that the mudbloods were getting more and more audacious. One day they're all going to learn exaclty where they belong in this world. Which in her opinion was 6 feet under.
Her musings, however, were interrupted when she spotted her fellow Slytherin Pyro, down the hall. "Hey Pyro," she said walking towards him. She stopped short when she realized exactly who he was talking to. It was Potter's friend, the looney girl, the mudblood, and some other girl who was obviously not worth her time. Then she caught sight of his feet.
"What in Merlin's name are you wearing?" She sneered at him, while glaring in the general direction of the others. If Pyro wanted to spend time with them, that was his problem, but she would rather be caught dead than be civil to some Gryffindors and their lackeys.

“Shame, the correct shade of red might go with your hair. Maybe a red Scottish quilt?” Dana offered to Ron absent-mindedly before smiling brightly at Cass, as she laughed at the skirt, “Yep. In a way, the skirt is fun. As for the Quibbler – well, I wouldn’t say it’s exactly about animals. Myths rather. It’s almost the same as the sightings of a big-foot in the muggle world.” Dana explained to Cass nodding towards the magazine she was shifting through, hoping that the younger girl got her point that mostly it was just a bunch of rubbish. Amusing and rather interesting rubbish, but nothing certain.
Dana heard foot-steps approaching and sub-consciously tensed up before a voice sneered towards Pyro. The small tensing in Dana’s body was almost unnoticeable to anyone who didn’t know Dana very well, but even though Dana saw the girl for the first time, something in her tone of voice and attitude didn’t suit Dana. At least not today. “Oh, pardon, didn’t know you are the latest fashion-guru at this place. Then again – most of us do prefer to wear some clothes, in case you haven’t noticed. I’ll even make it easy and simple for you – clothes are these things you put on your skin every morning and they cover you up and protect you from cold. Oh look - you are wearing some yourself as well. Very good - how much help did you need to get them on this morning?” Dana did an almost perfect imitation of a Slytherin sneer towards the girl, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She didn’t mind Slytherins most of the time, but even Dana’s patience didn’t last forever.
Dana played with the idea of charming a red costume of a Gryffindor lion for the Slytherin girl to wear. Breathing out slowly Dana forcefully pushed her irritation down. She wasn’t raised by top politicians and the most honored pure-blooded couple in France for nothing – Dana could control herself as well as any SLytherin, even better than some sometimes. So Dana didn’t take arrogance, when you had nothing to back your attitude up, kindly. The world didn’t revolve around just one person and this girl would have to learn it sooner or later as well.
“I was actually heading towards the kitchens. What can I say – I’m addicted to coffee. Then again – drinking it is almost national tradition,” Dana told the others, brushing the Slythern girl carelessly from her mind, as she couldn’t even do anything but try to insult everyone.

Pyro frowned at Dana, than at Weasly, back to Dana. "So why does he get a choice?" He looked down at his slippers. Strongly contemplated hexing her. Pyro was about to say something when he heard footsteps off in the distance and a short moment he noticed a slight tense in Dana. Around the corner came Chloe, a fellow 3rd year slytherin. Pyro gave a a slight nod to her greeting, wondering if he and her had ever had a conversation before.
"What in Merlin's name are you wearing?" She asked him looking down at his shoes. The tone in her voice didnt sit well in his stomach. He glanced down at his slippers than back up at her with eyes slightly narrowed. His answer was spoken in a non too friendly tone. "It would appear that they are regular school shoes, charmed into the shape of a red and green bunny slipper. You know, a charm is that one thing we do with these," he motioned to his wand sticking out of his pocket. "and we perform these charms on other objects and people, if you want to know exactly what charm, ask her." He noded his head in Dana's direction. "Since she is the one who cast it."

Cass stifled a giggle as Pyro called the other Slytherin out. " Good one Pyro. Of course, they wouldn't be considered a regular shoe anymore. They have some flair now." A smile spread across her face.
She turned back to Dana, getting her drift but not wanting to insult Luna. " I used to read a lot of myths when I was a kid. Never thought I would actually see any of the animals that my Grandfather used to tell me about in fairy tales. However, lowe and behold, I've seen a many of them."
She smiled at Dana, " The kitchens? Mind if I join you? I really want some chocolate. Ron, Pyro, Luna, you should join us."

Luna nodded with a hazy smile as a girl form her dormitory approached them. Dana . Luan and Dana weren’t friends, but Dana was more tolerant than the rest of the girls in their dormitory. Besides she knew quite many things. “Dana. Don’t you know? You have to beware Snorgles today. Little pests. They like to nest in blond hair and to avoid such danger you must wear red and green today,” Luna explained. Why were so many people blind to all the dangers constantly around them? At least Dana seemed to be helping the young Slytherin and Gryffindor to wear red and green. Maybe it would help them to avoid Snorgles. Opening the Quibbler Luna concentrated on the writing in there once again, blocking most of the other conversation until Dana mentioned coffee. “Coffee? Don’t you know how many pests nest among coffee-beans? You must constantly check coffee and even then you can’t be completely sure you won’t be infested,” Luna reprimanded before starting to hum ‘Weasley Is Our King’ once again. “But the house-elves might have some grains – Snorgles like to eat grain,” Luna explained as she turned around and started to walk with her back first once again. ((This post has moved quickly. ;D Glad to see you made it around Dana. I need someone friendly here. But don't forget- you have to be watchful of the Snorgles! ))
