Justin Lionheart was wondering what he should do. He could'nt sleep and it was still early. Noone else in the whole of Gryffindor Tower was sleeping. Plus he was sort of sad ,but he really did'nt want to feel the way he did ,so he grabbed his guitar and headed out of the boys dorms and down into the common room.
He entered the common room and let his feet guide hiom to the portrait hole. He did'nt look around as he left ,but he did hear a fe wpeople say hi to them so he did a sorta semi wave back at them. He was just about to exit out the portrait hole ,when suddenly someone ran right into him. He crashed into a desk and he was shaken out of his daze. He looked around for whoever it had been ,but they must have ran somewhere else. SO he continued on his way out of the Gryffindor Tower.
As he exited out the portrait hole he felt a sudden cool breeze hit him. Shrugging it off ,he made his way over to the stairs ,where he headed up to the astronomy tower. Maybe he could clear his mind up there. He walked up the stairs and began to wonder why he felt this way. "Well ," He thought ," I'll just have to figure that out." He finally reached the Astronomy Tower and went all the way to the top ,until he reached the outside. He laid down on his back and looked up at the stars ,placing his guitar beside him. Suddenly he thought of a song to play so that he could clear his mind. He sat up and picked up his guitar. He strummed the tune and began to sing.
" You've always been a friend of mine and that's the way we'll be til the day I die. Yeah it's good to know your on my side. Now you know she's leaving me and I need your to make her see-e-ee ,so put on your charm an let it shine. Cause you've always been the one who could make her stay around. When she gets to the city limit sign do'nt let me down.
Oh-hh Laredo ,do'nt let her go. Just take her by the arms and let the wheels turn slow. Oh-hh Laredo you're my only hope. Just get her back to the day we met ,cause that's as far as she needs to get. Ohhhh Laredo.
Suddenly he heard a sound and he stopped playing and said " Who's there?"

Kris was returning from Hogsmeade, where he had had a hot date. He had left the castle quietly and was only now returning, with the girl he had left back at Hogsmeade almost begging him to owl her again.
Kris steered his Nimbus 2000 towards the school. He heard someone singing – a boy he decided by his voice. AS Kris was approaching the Astronomy tower from behind him, he didn’t seem to notice Kris, until he landed and dismounted his broom.
“Well, good evening to you too,” Kris drawled out sarcastically – he might not wear Slytherin robes at that moment and there wasn’t anything in his appearance, that would help the other guy determine which house he was in. But he still had his temper.
Glancing up at the stars Kris smirked. It had been a rather nice evening and the girl had certainly been a beauty, so he was in a relatively good mood. Lowering his eyes Kris nodded calmly towards the guitar the other boy was holding: “Nice instrument.”
((Hope you odn't mind me joining))

(hm, interesting. Okay do you mind me joining Justin? I mean honestly, either way I'm joining but, if you have a problem, do let me know, will you?) "One, two three, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday." Jordan counted the little white pills and put them in their correct slot of the day of the week, before taking that nights dosage. She popped it in her mouth and grabbed her water, swallowing the anti-depressant and feeling slightly better about herself. She closed her eyes and drifted off for a bit into an unknown world. Her mind fluttering free of chaos and free of stress, something that she really wanted at that exact moment in her life. When she opened her eyes, she slipped her medicine back into the drawer of her bedside table and looked around the empty Hufflepuff dormitory. Grabbing her waterbottle, Jordan stood up and looked out the windows at the stars. It was a pretty sight, it sort of soothed Jordan and made her calm down a bit. After a moment of staring at the stars, her nerves weren't as jumpy and she decided to take a trip to where she could watch the stars without the headache, and without the cold. The Astronomy Tower. Jordan tucked her hair behind her ears and grabbed her sketchbook, tucked it under her right arm, and left the dormitory to go to the Astronomy Tower. Her eyes kept a close watch for any Professor's or Filch, and made sure no one else was following her. Lately, Jordan had been getting the unnerving feeling that she was being watched and more than once she had heard someone call her name; but no one was there. Making her way down the corridors, she finally came to the Astronomy Tower doors. She climbed the stairs stealthily, without a thought. Her shoes made little noise as she finished climbing and realized someone was up there. She looked and realized it was Justin and let out a sigh of relief. But, then realized someone else was there. She tilted her head, trying to think of who he could be; pulling a blank. Jordan sighed, and sat down; her back against the wall and began to draw her mother's face. Hoping with all her effort that this would all fade away.

Justin looked up at the boy who had just walked up and he raised an eyebrow at the boy. He said " Good evening ,hah as if ,but yeah it's okay for most part." He then looked at his guitar as the boy complimented it and so he said " Yeah it is a great instrument, glad my brother gave me this. Who are you by the way?" Just then he heard another sound behind him. He watched as a girl sat down near him. It was Jordan Cortes. He said "Hey Jordan ,what brings you out here tonight?"

Jordan looked up as Justin addressed her. Her eyes livid and her mind wandering free. Her stare was blank, but she quickly pulled herself out of it and looked at Justin with a smile. She stopped sketching and shrugged.
"The voices inside my head I guess....seriously though, I couldn't sleep. Haven't been able to for the past week. A lot has happened, ya know?'' Jordan shrugged as she answered and looked down at her hands, thinking of Katie and everything else that had happened the past month or so.
"What about you?" She asked as she sighed and shook her head, ridding of the memories.

“Well, at least I had a good evening,” Kris answered the boy calmly, while crouching and pulling out his invisibility cloak from a loose stone, after murmuring the charm to unlock the stone from it’s place.
Kris watched quietly, somewhat melting into the shadows with his darker skin and black hair, as some younger girl climbed to the roof. She talked to Justin, showing they were friends, but Kris had noticed her stiffen for a moment after noticing him there as well. Only Slytherins and Kris’s ‘cousine’ seemed to be able to control most of their face and body signals, but then again her ‘cousine’ had almost ended up in Slytherin as well.
“Too many voices in one’s head can get… disturbing. Unless you find some use to them, like studying, so they’ll tell you the answers in class,” Kris commented dryly the girls choice of words. He didn’t really care what they thought of him, but as he wasn’t very sleepy yet either, decided to stay for a little to see what kind of turn things would take here.

Jordan's head snapped to the other boy. Her eyes even more livid than before. Her anger almost rising. She didn't want to put up with this today. Or any other day. She had enough crap going on in her mind she didn't need anymore.
"Yeah, well, these voices won't go away. These voices tell me to do things a Hufflepuff should never dream of doing. These aren' the types of voices sane people hear each day, these voices are much worse." Jordan snapped at him. She then turned her attention back to the front of her and stared straight off. Not apologizing or anything. She wasn't in the mood for it.

Kris raised an eye-brow at the girl's reply. Looked like she had taken it offensively. Kris stepped out of the shadows, letting the moonlight glisten off of his Slytherin badge, so that she could see it. He didn’t really like to make girls cry, just like he never raised a hand against a female, and hoped the Hufflepuff girl would count his comment off as regular Slytherin rudeness. Kris didn’t mind being thought of as bastard – in fact it rather suited his personality.
“Sounds like the voices that are sometimes sent to taunt and invite me then,” Kris mused calmly and his eyes flashed steel for a moment. The others didn’t know about it , but Kris had his own nightmares. And Voldemort’s promises and invitations to join over to his side didn’t really sooth his nerves either, although few people knew about that. In fact only his legal guardians and his ‘cousine’ did. Kris just didn’t trust others that much or didn’t want to burden his problems to them.

"Oh, stop being so damn cryptic." Jordan snapped again. She stood up aprubtly and took her sketchbook. Flipping through the pages she started to tear each picture out. One by one. Her wonderful drawings of things that she spent so much time on. She tore each one out, put it into a pile then pulled out her wand. She pointed it at the pile.
"Incendio." SHe said, the papers ignited and they burned. She just watched. She didn't care. They weren't worth her time anymore anyway. When it was done burning she kicked the ashes aside and sat down in her spot before. Jordan wasn't usually one to talk like she was tonight. Her voice was usually full of sweetness and she was usually so kind and carefree. But alot of things had happened over the past month that only few knew about, Justin was one of the few who knew about it. Or at least, some of it. Jordan was really the only person who knew exactly what happened, and because of that she had to taken anti-depressants. No one else had to. Only her.

“Nobody as ever called me cryptic before,” Kris said amusedly bowing and picking up a handful of the ashes. They were still hot, but didn’t burn his hand. “And what makes you think you are the only one who has bad temptations and worries,” Kris pulled out his wand and crouched down ‘accio’ing all the pieces of ash and after making sure each one was there, used a rather complex charm, restoring the papers and drawings.
“I’m a part of a pure-blooded line, control my own family-fortune and are smart as well as a Slytherin. I also have very power-full relatives to who Voldemort could get closer to through me,” Kris’s voice was barely above a whisper as his green eyes bore into the Hufflepuffs ones, “Do not dare to say, I know nothing of temptations.”
Kris stood up and looked down at the girl: “I give advice rarely and seldom for free, but I will give this one piece of advice for you. Theirs is always a chance to make a difference so there is no point in throwing away your life.”
Kris dropped the restored papers into Jordan’s lap and turned to pick his invisibility cloak up agian and started to drape it onto his shoulders. For a Slytherin he had alreayd said too much and to complete strangers.

Jordan threw the drawings off her lap and stood up once more. She couldn't see him, he had disapeared but, she could still feel his presence.
"Smart, eh? Well, allow me to give you a little grammar lesson. First off, it's 'part of' not 'A part of'. Second, it's 'am smart' not 'are smart.' Third, it's 'whom Voldemort' not 'who Voledemort.' Now, onto the subject at hand. I never said anything about temptations. And I have no doubt that you have had them, please you're a Slytherin. But, you have no idea what has happened in my life in the past month or so. Very few people do. And the people who do know, they understand. Don't think you know me. And don't think you can give me advice. In order to give it, you have to know what that person needs, and you have no clue as to what I need. So back the hell off." And with that, Jordan grabbed what remained of her sketchbook and went and sat off somewhere else, not wanting to leave the Tower just yet.

( You two seem like you would are good at arguing with each other.)
Justin listened to the two and wondered when he should come in and say something. He did like listening to the whole conversatio ,though right now he had his own problems. Then at Jordans' last comment he said to the boy " SHe is telling the truth ,you and I do'nt understand half of what shes been through."

Cassandra followed the sound of the guitar trying to find where the beautiful music was coming from. She hoped it was coming from a band, but never expected to come upon three people talking. Feeling like she was barging in on the conversation, she sat down respectively away from the group hoping he would play again. She played guitar at one point in her life, but that had been a long time ago. She looked at the boy and said, " You play very well. Is that a cover or did you write it?"

“Everybody have problems, but if she is throwing her life away just because of the, she is a fool!” Kris’s voice was icy as he pulled the hood of his head, not turning any attention to the girl who had just joined after a glance.
“You obviously have friends, so let them help. Maybe the one thing you really would need is a kick to get you out of your self-pity and misery,” Kris said with a lazy drawl, that always irritated people, while sticking around. He was rather amused – not very often Hufflepuffs argued with him like this, so he wanted to see the girl’s reaction.
((yeah, looks like we are good in arguing))

Jordan stood up and pushed the boy against the wall. Her anger not held back anymore.
"YOU kill someone, and then tell me if it's worth living anymore! YOU stand the pressure I go through everyday and then tell me if my friend's can help! DON'T CALL ME A FOOL WHEN YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I HAVE DONE!" Jordan went off. She then stepped back and crossed her arms, waiting for his reaction. Tonight was not her night.

Kris smirked as the girl pushed him against the wall. She was small enough, so it didn’t hurt him, but he didn’t resist either, knowing he could over-power her any given moment. “So now you can see thestrals, big deal. I’ve seen them since I was 5 and my mother was killed before my eyes,” Kris drawled, not letting his surprise show. The little girl had killed someone. Kris smirked, thinking of all the irony.
“Can’t really imagine you as cold-hearted killer though, so I won’t judge your did. There is something called self-defence,” Kris said after a moment of silence taking in the girl’s appearance. His eyes flashed for a moment, thinking back at his mother’s death. “Your friends can’t help? Why not? They can be there, they can listen, they can show moral support. But yeah – you do have to handle yourself. You certainly seem to have guts to attack a Slytherin and a boy older than you, who could easily over-power you,” Kris whispered into Jordan’s ear, bowing closer to it, “Do you also dare to look at yourself in the eye?”
Kris straightened up again and crossed his hands over his chest: "How do you expect me to react? Gasp and act if you are made of fragile glass and could break any moment? Or do you want people to treat you like they always do, so you can get back to your normal life?”
"Me kiling a guy was never the problem. It was me enjoying it that scared me half out of my wits. Tell me, do you think a Hufflepuff would enjoy killing someone? Sure, it was self-defense, haha sure I was protecting a relative, but that doesn't give me the excuse for enjoying watching him slowly bleed to death. None. At all." Jordan retorted. She throw up her hands in the air and shook her head as if to say ,"WHY ME?!" Her head snapped towards Kris when he asked why her friends couldn't help.
"What part of me being a Hufflepuff murderer do you not understand? Most of my friends are Hufflepuffs! Most of them would think I was crazy! Insane! Which I am, but thats bedie the point! And you think you're so high and mighty? You aren't. Just because, you're older, stronger maybe. Doesn't mean you would ever have the guts to hurt me. I know a few people who are much more stronger than you in many different ways." Jordan told him. He then whispered in her ear.
"Looking myself in the eye? Never had a problem with it. Still don't, not even after all that happens. I'm not afraid, just...distraught." She smiled softly but, that soon faded when he asked how she would like him to re-act. She shrugged.
"No way at all I suppose. You don't know me. You wouldn't understand what this is to me. Wouldn't understand like Justin here, or Vanessa, or Amelia how I could kill someone and like it. No, response from you at all. That's what I expected."

“You enjoyed killing someone who was hurting your relatives,” Kris glanced upwards to the sky for a moment, “You killed to protect. That was quite damned noble of you. Do fair justice. Death is an important part of life, so naturally it charms, almost hypnotizes. Self-protection gives you all the excuses you need to me and obviously to the police or aurors.”
Kris eyed Jordan calmly: “True, I wouldn’t hurt you as I don’t raise a hand against any female. Not because I am afraid.”
“And no reaction from me – well, then I reacted like you wanted me to. Would have you felt better, if I had pampered you and looked at you with pity while thinking you had no chance?” Kris shook his head calmly, “I don’t pity to people who don’t need it. Life goes on and so must you. You will never forget the killing, but it will only make you mentally stronger.”

Jordan laughed lightly,. small little spurts of laughter at first, then she had to put her hand on the wall nearest her so she wouldnt' fall over. Clutching her side and wiping away the tears of laughter from her brown eyes she stood up and shook her head at the boy before her.
"How would you know? Have you ever killed someone? Oh wait, you're a Slytherin, I forgot. You will sometime in your lifetime. Am I correct? No, I don't want your pity. I don't want pity. Which is why I am on anti-depressants. If I wanted your pity, believe me you would know." She sat down, her head leaned back against the wall, her eyes staring up at the night sky.

“Why does the fact that I’m a Slytherin automatically mean that I’m bound to kill someone?” Kris asked with a roll of his eyes, as his tone turned icy again, “Although, yes. I would take great pleasure killing my father’s murderers. If you thought that I’d become a death eater, then you are seriously mistaken.”
Mirth flashed through Kris’s eyes and a small smile showed on his lips for a moment: “Besides I have no disillusions about the fact, that Dana would certainly have my head and skin, if I ever did that. And I am rather fond of all my body-parts actually. I have no idea, if you know her or not – Dana Coran from Ravenclaw – but her threats are ment to be taken seriously.” Kris smiled musing about how Dana had threatened him very calmly what she would do, if he would ever turn to Voldemort.
Anti-depressants. Kris eyed the stars thoughtfully. At least the girl was working on her problem and for that Kris gave her some respect.
