Julius Foxcroft entered the Muggle Studies classroom located on the second floor in the West Wing of Hogwarts. He pointed his wand at the curtains and they were drawn aside letting in the sunlight. The classroom was comfortable and spacious, Julius hated small classrooms. On the walls of the classroom were several paintings drawn by famous Muggle painters, and other pictures of Muggle inventions are also placed on the walls at the back of the class. On a small book shelf located in one corner of the room books by Muggle novelists and philosopher's can be found.
Julius set down his quill and books on his desk awaiting the arrival of his students. The first class of the year was always fun for him as he liked seeing his students after the long break. Julius was always happy when he was teaching; it was as if he was a different person. He left behind the depressed part of him and the enthusiastic and excited part replaced it. Julius opened a cupboard at the back of the class and pushed aside t several empty stone basins with runes and symbols carved on their edges and pulled out 20 pieces of parchment on which the same diagram was drawn. Julius wondered if the students were going to enjoy the class today. "They are certainly in for a new experience," he thought to himself with a grim smile.
Soon the small class of students were seated before Julius. Julius flashed them a rare smile and said in his clear voice. "Good morning all and welcome to Muggle Studies. Hope you all enjoyed your summer, perhaps one or two of you saw some Muggle inventions you liked? Anyway I am quite sure everyone is refreshed and ready for a new year. Some of you are sitting important exams at the end of this year and you can only score good grades by studying properly and applying everything you learn in class on your own. Right then let's get to work. Wands out, we shall be using them at the end of the lesson." Julius waited for a few minutes before continuing, it was still the first class and he knew some of the students would take their time in getting their books and wands ready.

The morning had started as usual. He woke early, and headed to the library. There was a book there about the most prominant wizards of the last century that he found extremely intresting.
He impressed himself though, but looking at the clock in time to see that he hadn't missed breakfast. That was a rare occasion. Normally he read so long he almost missed breakfast.
After a quick stop by the great hall to pick up an apple, he hurried off again to class. He had Muggle Studies this morning, and he knew better than to be late for class.
He slipped into the classroom, noticing that he was one of the first students here, which was a first, and took a seat close to the front.

When Liam woke this morning he looked out of the window in his dorm room and thought to himself, 'This is a beautiful day.' He hurried to dress for the day and headed for the great hall. After grabbing a bite to eat, Liam walked up the staircase and headed for the Muggle Studies classroom. Upon reaching the door, Liam took a breath and stepped forward, through the door. He looked around the class and took a seat in the very back row of desk. He took out his wand and books and waited for the rest of class to do the same.

Catalina walked out of the Great Hall with a paper plate full of cookies and brownies, she loved being back at Hogwarts and having free access to tasty yummies all the time! At home sweets were not allowed, her mother wouldn't allow it nor would she allow butterbeer or anything that was really tasty, she was one who was all about healthy eating. As Catalina walked up the steps she made her way to the Muggle Studies classroom. She'd seen lots of muggle things, her father worked for the Ministry of Magic: Muggle Relations. He was always bringing muggle things home, though most things he didn't really know the full use or purpose of. It was this reason that Catalina signed up for this class, hoping she might learn what exactly some of things were for.
Entering the classroom with her plate still half full, she looked around and found very few people. Walking pas the professor she held out her plate "ye want some?" She then took a seat towards the front of class and waited for the class to begin.

Alexa woke up early, the school year was brand new and she was feeling very excited to be back at her favourite place, Hogwarts. She had experienced a rough year last term and it made it all the better to be back at school with her friends, doing the things she loved, namely quidditch. Today, one of her many classes was Muggle Studies, a class some, mostly Slytherins would frown on, but not Alexa Lee, she had always loved muggle things. When she was growing up, her late brother Po, who was obsessed with muggle artefacts, showed her many things and peeked her interest in the subject. After Po died, her love of muggle things; novels, paintings, instruments and anything muggle in origin, increased.
She had dresses quickly, and eaten her breakfast in much the same manner as she had gotten dressed, she didn’t want to be late for her first class of the year. Breakfast for her that morning consisted of an tuna sandwich and a two and a half glasses of orange juice, before she scurried from the table, books in hand, and off to her class. Alexa took the stairs two at a time, sometimes three, all the way to the second floor where the Muggle Studies classroom was located, she only stopped when she got to the door. Alexa straightened her raven hair, which was done in a messy bun, before pushing the door and entering. The room was large and comfortable, filled with muggle things, books, painting and a few other tidbits. The sun shone brightly in the room giving it a homey feeling. She looked around for a seat, and found one next to her best friend Catalina Cavalez, whom she had not seen since term began.
“Good morning Professor Foxcroft,” she said as she slid between the desks to her seat. She flashed Catalina a smile as she sat next to her, “Hey Cat. I haven’t seen you since school started,” she said in a whisper, as class was going to start soon. Alexa got out her wand and a few other items and laid them on her desk and waited to discover what they would be learning today. There were other people in the class as well, most of which Alexa didn’t know, or wasn’t personally acquainted with. She looked at Cat’s desk and grinned, there was a plate. Alexa loved how her friend had a never-ending appetite. “Was it good?” she whispered, taking a chance since class had not begun yet.

Draco opened the door and walked into the muggle studies classroom. Ignoring the professor, he walked to the second row and sat down. An evident smirk on his face, he scanned the classroom, looking for the latest display of ugly muggle creations that Foxcroft enjoyed putting up. "Ludicrous," though Draco as his eyes fell upon some long, silver, cylinder-like objects perched on a shelf. He, as could be expected of any Slytherin, was not in the least bit interested in anything to do with muggles. He looked down upon them and all of their amateur creations. In his opinion, pure bloods ran the world and the magic witches and wizards possessed couldn't be outdone by any device a muggle could create, no matter how sophisticated. In fact, his primary reason for even attending muggle studies was to add some humour to his educational life. Classes were usually a bore from Draco, especially these days since Crabbe and Goyle were constantly absent. So, Draco thought it would be a little fun to attend a class as outrageously silly as this one. He knew that most of the other students in the room were curious and inquisitive about the muggle world and would be surprised by every single piece of trash the professor showed them. That, like everything else such a class held, he found quite humourous. Of course he didn't wish to earn himself a detention. No, no. He wasn't willing to have points docked off his house for misbehaviour. That was not his intention. He just intended on having some fun.

Kelsey smiled as she was wrapped in her Violin music. The notes seemed to drift around her. She sighed happily and stopped playing. She looked up at a clock and gasped. Five minutes untill Muggle Studies. She jumped to her feet and put away her prized Violin. Putting her silky hair in a pony tail, Kelsey ran out the door of her dorm. Then shrieked as she remembered her books, which were still in the dorm. She raced back and grabbed her bag.
Finally, after running through the halls and corridors, Kelsey stopped in front of the Muggle Studies classroom, praying that they hadn't started. Kelsey walking in and sighed in relief as she realized that class hadn't started. She walked to the back of the class, in the corner, and sat down. She notcied Liam was sitting in the same row. She knew that Amelia, her best friend, had liked Liam for a while now. Kelsey smiled, suddenly thinking of Justin Lionheart. Her friend and crush.
She snapped back to attention and turned to Liam.
"Hey Liam," she said, "How are you?" she smiled then, thinking that maybe liam didn't know her. she decided to add that.
"I'm Amelia's friend, Kelsey," she said.

As Liam sat in the back of class, he was trying to thing of all the things the muggle world had to offer anybody. When he heard the classroom door open, he was surprised to see Draco Malfoy coming to this class. After all, his family hated anybody who was not a pure wizard. He couldn't help but think that Draco was here to make some kind of trouble. As he watched Draco take his sit, Another girl walked into the classroom. He knew right away that she was older than he was and knew that she was in a different house than he was.
When she said hi to Liam, he was a little startled. After all, he had no idea how she knew him. But, that was soon made clear when she said she was a friend of Amelia's.
"So, your a friend of Amelia's? Tell me, why is she always acting so wierd around me? And why is she always starring at me?" Liam asked. "Is there something wrong with me?"

Kelsey couldn't help but laugh at that. Liam seemed so clueless to all of Amelia's hints. She wondered if she should tell this youngin' the truth. After all Amelia never told her not to tell.
"Well, there is definatly nothing wrong with you, Liam." Kelsey said smartly, puting her dark hair behind one ear, her loop earings swinging on her lobes. She smiled.
"Acually, Amelia really likes you. She talks abou you enough!" she laughed then wondering how tramatized Liam would be. Hopefully he likes Amelai back. It would devastate her if he hated her.

Liam couldn't believe what he had just heard. Amelia liked him, that does explain why she acts the way she does when ever she was around him. "I thought that she liked me, I just never knew. She doesn't just like me as a friend does she?" Liam asked.
Not waiting for a response, Liam said, "I don't know why anybody would like me like that. But, I like her too. I just don't know if I like her as anything more than a friend. I guess only time will tell, won't it?"

kelsey laughed yet again and shook her head.
"I soppose, Liam, I soppose." she turned to her desk then looked at him suddenly, "Just don't break her heart," her voice was filled with venom and steal. She didn't have time to help Amelia with her problems. If Liam hurt her in anyway, Liam would be hurting- physically. She breathed hard for a second and looked back to the Professor at the front of the class.
She loved Amelai like a baby sister and didn't want anyone, especially some little thrid year to hurt her! Kelsey was suddenly filled with worry. Maybe Amelia liking this Liam wasn't such a good thing. Maybe Kelsey should stop this whole thing. She shook her head and forced the thought from her head. It wasn't worth it to get into trouble.

Robin Versnowa walked to class with his book tucked under one arm and the last bits of his breakfast in his mouth. He looked around him to see if any seventh years were in the class and couldn't see anybody he knew, so he greeted Professor Foxcroft and found himself a chair to sit in behind two Ravenclaw girls. He watched their new Headgirl offer the Professor some brownies and cookies, and tapped his fingers absent-mindedly on his desk waiting for class to start.
Muggle Studies interested Robin, although he knew he did not need to study the subject to become an Auror, which was the job he was planning to train for. He was interested in Muggle inventions and contraptions, and the ways they found to do things wizards and witches could to do using magic. He sighed softly as he saw the clear blue sky outside through one of the windows in the classroom. He couldn't wait for their first Quidditch practice.

Catalina Cavales, who was one of the older students in Julius' class and who Julius had just heard had been named Headgirl offered Julius cookies and brownies. "Thank you Cavales I'm quite full," said Julius. Soon the students arrived one after the other, greeting Julius then sitting down. Julius looked around him at his students his arms folded across his chest. They seemed to be ready and one or two were talking to each other but Julius did not reprimand them as it was only the first class. "Angelus, Maddison, that will be enough. Time to get down to business," he said with a quelling glance at them, but his tone still pleasant. "OK since this our first class we shall start off by discussing Anti-Muggle Precautions. We will also learn how to perform a charm after we finish the first part of today's lesson - I'll tell you what it is in a minute."
Julius paused for a minute, pointed his wand at the board behind him and the words "Anti-Muggle Precautions - Charms" appeared on it. "Ok, as you all know, one of the main things the Ministry of Magic does is regulate the communication between the magical and the Muggle world. However all wizards and witches also have to use certain charms to prevent Muggles from discovering the secrets in our world. Can anybody tell me any of the charms used by the Ministry or even by your average wizard as Anti-Muggle Precautions?"

He watched a string of students slowly wander in after him, some of which were from his own house. It was odd he noticed, how often times houses seemed to sit together. He made a mental note about that. It was an intresting element of sociology to him. That was, in part at least, why he was in this class. He found the similarities between the psychology of the magical people and muggles fascinating.
As the professor spok, his attention drifted to him, and as the question was asked he raised his hand. He was rather familiar with the ministry--his parents both worked there after all.

Kelsey rolled her eyes as The Proffesor told her to stop talking. She wasn't even talking when he told her to stop. She sighed as he asked the question. Kelsey froze. Her mind speeding... she knew the answer... she KNEW the answer. But what was it! Kelsey sighed happily and raised her hand, remembering the answer.

Evan walked down stairs for breakfast, her stomach was doing flipflops, she couldn’t wait for her Muggle Studies class. Ever since summer her interest in muggles had increased. Savannah Johnstone had taken her to a muggle mall and it was so fascinating that it was all she talked about for the rest of summer, and the reason why she had taken up the class. She walked briskly to the class after breakfast, which consisted of cereal, without milk, a glass of orange juice and a slice of toast with jam.
When she got the classroom she was surprised to see none other than Draco Malfoy there, of all the people she thought would be there, he was definitely not one of them. She took a seat right up front, “Good day Professor,” she said cheerily. The class started soon after, they were going to be studying Anti-Muggle Precautions and a new charm. Evan was so excited. Evan listened intently, her attention was so engrossed in what Professor Foxcroft was saying that nothing, not even her sister could distract her. When the question was asked Evan’s hand shot into the air, she wasn’t sure if what she thought was what he wanted but he was surely going try.

Julius was glad to see several hands raised when asked his question. Kamron Leopold, an intelligent rather quiet Ravenclaw boy in his fifth year was the first to raise his hand and Julius nodded at him and said "Yes, Leopold you may answer first." He looked at the other raised hands and then added "Just mention one so the others have a chance to mention other charms too."

Kelsey let her arm fall limply to her side and sighed. She always seemed to feel defeated when she wasn't picked first. But why should she? She was getting a chance anyway. She shrugged to herself and rested her head on her arm waiting for the kid to answer.

Standing up from her seat at the Hufflepuff table at the Great hall, Williow began her way to her Muggle studies class. Walking up a set of stairs Willow moved her books from her left side to her right side as they fell out of her hands. "Darn." she said as a friend bent down and helped her pick them up. "Thanks alot Mike! Where are you going?" she asked her fellow Hufflepuff friend. When the stair case finished moving, Willow and Mike began to walk again. He waved goodbye as she went off down the second floor hallway.
Finally reaching the door way Willow walked in with a smile to Professor Foxcroft. There was no relation but she always liked that he had her last name- well Only the Croft. Taking a seat int he front of the class room, he started the class. She sat there plesently as she waited for someone to answer the question.

He smiled slightly as the professor called his name. Only one, he reminded himself.
"Probably one of the most common muggle protection charms is a memory charm that effects muggles. When they near the charmed location, the suddenly have an un-ignorable memory of something they had forgotten to do"
