“I asked those questions, because if you want to tell me anything more important or personal, you’ll do it yourself. It will have to be your choice,” Kris simply explained his belief and choice of questions. “Gummi. Anything to do with gummi. Got it, but I have one more question,” Kris asked thoughtfully, “If you eat that much gummi, then don’t your jaws get tired of all the chewing?”
“And no, I don’t believe in God. I have read the Bible through, to see if I could find answers for myself in there and I didn’t, so I don’t believe in any god. But I’m not sure about that chicken being first. I mean chicken is just an eggs way of creating more eggs. So why couldn’t an egg be first?”

Jordan laughed again, "I don't eat just Gummi, Kris. I also eat chocolate, and hard candies. Candy corn is good too, but I like gummi much more." She smiled and rolled her eyes, thinking about what he had said before that. It was a good thing he didn't ask any personal questions, Jordan might've lied. And she hadn't done that in ages.
"I never said eggs couldn't be first, I just said I thought they were first. But, now I see your point and am all confused. I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight, because, I'll be thinking of eggs and chickens." Jordan laughed again, and knew her dimples were showing, something she tried to hide no matter what, "Chickens, eggs. Eggs, chickens, oi vey." She shook her head and grabbed her shoulderbag, pulling out candy. Not gummi candy though, candy corn, "I swear it's like I have more candy in here then books and parchment."

Kris smiled as Jordan’s dimples showed. He hadn’t even known she had dimples, but Kris rather liked them. “It’s good to hear someone else will spend a night up thinking about the chicken and egg question. I was starting to think that Iw as the only one who was deeply troubled with the question,” Kris started to get amused as he made a cartwheel before pouting towards Jordan, “I actually once after having eaten about one and a half box of sugar-quills plus some random candy, I grabbed my broom and flew to the window of Dana’s dormitory to get her opinion of it. And after that trouble I went through to get her up and to get in, so none of the other girls would wake up I finally asked her. And she asked me to repeat the question, she just blinked and pushed me out of the window and slammed the window closed. Not a very nice thing to do. Luckily I had my broom.”
Kris winked at Jordan: “Actually it’s a real wonder how none of the guys seem to know how to get to girl’s dormitories. I mean would it really be that hard to fly behind the window of girl’s dormitories or just carefully fly your broom up the girl’s stairs, before they turn into a slide. Even though there is a button near every of such staircase, that will keep the stair from turning into a slide, just in case of an emergency. I tested it after having read about it Hogwarts history.”
“Anyway I traveled from Dana to Kat, who was a lot easier to get up and she even discussed the topic with me, despite the fact it was 1AM. Until I had the bright idea to pull her along with my broom and go and take a quick tour. At the scream, which was probably heard all over the castle and nearly destroyed my hearing – I found out that Kat was afraid of heights and flying on a broomstick. So we both ended up in Dumbeldore’s office where I had a very meaningful discussion with our head-master about 10 cm high rainbow-colored donkeys while eating lemon-drops,” Kris continued telling Jordan about his nightly adventures, “We figured that we could let the donkeys run over rainbows and one by one bring the fortune from the other end of it. Clever, isn’t it?”
Kris smirked and nodded towards Jordan’s bag: “Taking into consideration how much lemon drops Dumbeldore had in his cupboards, your bag is just a junior. And that also shows you why it’s dangerous to get me sugar-high. I think Dana is planning on feeding me too much sweets before her Valentine day’s party.”
Jordan laughed, before she stood up and stretched her arms above her head. Before she started to speak though, Jordan bent backwards, then did a backflip. She brought herself up then smiled, "Rainbow colored donkeys, eh? Great, images of chickens, eggs, and rainbow colored donkeys in my mind. What a pleasant sleep it's going to be tonight." She brushed her hair out of her eyes and shook her head at what he had said before.
"I can't believe you flew to Dana's and Kat's windows. Though I can believe Dana pushed you. I find that amusing. And what do you do on nights you can't sleep, fly to random girl's windows and ask them questions about eggs and chickens?" Jordan raised an eyebrow at Kris. She rather enjoyed his company, he was somebody who could make her be herself, and she wasn't even noticing it. Jordan threw a candy corn up in the air and caught in her mouth.
"Oh, yes," Jordan nodded vigourisly over exaggerating her sarcasm, "very clever indeed. Lemon drops are okay, I don't like them as much as Dumbledore, though there was a time where we traded off on sweets. He ate my gummi bears and I ate his lemon drops. I couldn't taste anything but, sour stuff for weeks! And there are times when you just need to get hyper, that was one thing Katie always brought into my life...hyperness." Jordan nodded curtly before doing a handstand, she stood on one hand as she grabbed a candy corn and popped it in her mouth. The Valentines Day party. Jordan fell.
"Ahh, yes. The party. I told Dana I might go, but..I'm rethinking it." Jordan told him as she looked up at him from her spot on the ground. She stood up again and tried the handstand one more time.

“Only images of chickens, eggs and rainbow-colored donkey’s? What about oysters dancing cancan? And me prancing through endless flower-fields, where all the flowers are made of gummi bears. And… and…and…,” Kris shuddered as he tried to think of something horrifying, “And hand in hand with me professor McGonagall dressed in a shrilly red top and short tights, while she is screaming the latest Britney Spears song. Please – your dream wouldn’t be anything without those things! That would be even more excitement than I could ever take.”
Kris laughed and stretched: “And I didn’t fly to random girl’s windows. They were Dana and Kat – sisters! I may wake you up next time though.” “At nights, when I don’t’ sleep I usually wander the hallways though. In my invisibility cloak, so when I meet Filch or some prefect they won’t see me, and mrs. Norris seems to like me, so she won’t snitch on me. And the house-eves in the kitchen are more than happy to serve.”
“Well, Dana won’t mind. She knows I’ll show up – Mary probably as well, and we’ll be more than able to enjoy ourselves that way,” Kris shrugged calmly, knowing perfectly well her cousin wouldn’t mind.

Jordan's hands went to her ears, blocking out Kris's statement about McGonagall singing Britney Spears and stuff like that, "La la la la la la. You done yet?" Jordan took her hands down and shook her head while tucking some of her hair behind her ear, "I am trying to keep my dreams limited to chickens, eggs, and rainbow colored donkeys thank you. Oh, and of course the occasional, Dillion in a dress, but that's pretty scary on it's own. And I think he would actually do it to...eh, scary thought." Jordan shuddered lightly.
"Ack, you wake me up...you're in for a rude awakening. Nah, that's only if I'm having a good dream. Which will probably not be for awhile, considering good dreams don't consist of chickens and eggs." Jordan nodded, growing steadily tired, but continuing to eat candy. Those pills were helping her again, but they were making her drowsy. She walked back a couple of paces, then ran forward, did a front flip, and front hand spring. That woke her up.
"The problem with me not going to that party, is that then I'll have nothing to do. Most of my friends are going, and the ones who aren't, are spending it with someone special. I wonder if I can just go home for one day, see Jay," Jordan shook her head, "nah." She bashed that idea as soon as she thought of it. She didn't want to see Jason Roswick anymore then she wanted to go to potions.

“I don’t have a clue who Dillon is, but I’m finished now,” Kris answered with a grin crouching down and reaching his hands towards the fire, letting his fingers warm up as well. “And I usually wonder around the halls here by foot. I can fly and don’t suck at it, but I’m not a fanatic. Don’t really care about quidditch either. I don’t even turn up to the school games here, when Slytherin plays,” Kris shrugged. Sure he was a pure-blood and as his father had liked the game, knew all the rules and had been to some games as well, but he himself didn’t care about the sport, “So don’t be expecting me behind your window any time soon.”
Kris looked around and stood up then, cutting himself a piece of bulrush. Cleaning it from medulla inside, Kris used his knife to drill six small holes into it, blowing into it from time to time, to decided the places of the holes. Finishing it, Kris put his knife away and raised the primitive reedpipe to his lips, stumbling to get a feeling of the instrument, before he started playing a traditional tune, that shepherds once used to play.

"Good, you were scaring me. Give me nightmares, yeesh." Jordan shuddered and sat back down, pulling her knees up to her chin and resting her chin on the knee. She looked at Kris and listened to him play. A smile crossed her lips again and she closed her eyes, "You're pretty good at that..." She whispered, though she knew he heard her.
Jordan pulled her shoulderbag nearer to her, and laid her head on the fabric. She looked up at the sky and noticed it had gotten darker, she closed her eyes, continuing to listen to Kris play. Drifting in and out of sleep.

Kris had moved from the shepherds tune to random one he recalled from the back of his mind, when he heard Jordan’s comment. It was merely a whisper but it was heard in the quiet evening as the air carried sound very well at the lake-shore. Not stopping playing till he finished the tune, Kris stood up once again: “Thank you. Learned to make these kinds of instruments as a kid and never really have forgotten it. And for some peculiar reason I also have musical hearing and people won’t run at my singing voice either. I don’t care much for playing or singing in the public though.”
Turning to watch the younger girl curled up in her sleep Kris smirked. IT was rather late and she was almost asleep already. “Are you able to wake up until you reach your common room or will I have to haul you to the Room of Requirement?” Kris asked the half-sleeping girl amusedly.

Jordan sat up, and looked at Kris, her head titled in curiousity. "Mmm? Oh, no, I'm fine...not...slee-" She let out a yawn and dropped back in her position before. She yawned again and put her hand over her eyes, as if shielding out the light that was leaking through. She stayed like that for a moment or two, then stood up, grabbed her bag and put it over her shoulder. A small smile crept across her lips, and she started towards the castle.
"G'night Kris!" She called back, not turning to look at him, but waving still. Peering behind her before she entered the castle, she smiled and shook her head, before pulling open the door and heading inside. She couldn't walk another step, so she found the Room of Requirement and fell onto the floor, which instantly turned into a bed, and fell asleep.
