Perseus strode through the hallways in a choleric mood, clenching his hands in anger. There really was no reason to be angered, but, Perseus was still very exasperated by younger students bickering for his help in potion. "Now, now, I'll help you tonight," Perseus said in a very false, kind voice. "I have some business to attend to." The night before, Perseus had been working sedulously on his new found antidote that could cure people who were in an insane mind-state. He had meticulously almalgamated a concoction and went to sleep in a euphoric mood. But, now, he was an angry snake, posed to strike at anyone stupid enought to rouse his wrath. The sounds of tumultuous laughter echoed through the corridor as Perseus neared the Student Lounge, but turned away when a rather loquacious Ravenclaw first year attempted to stop him. He knew that the first year only wanted to help, but, Perseus quickly pushed aside the impediment and told the first year that he was busy.
Entering the grounds of Hogwarts, Perseus was met with a blast of cool air. Angry, dark billowing clouds rolled across the sky, reflecting Perseus's melancholy. As he stared towards the Cimmerian forest that held so many secrets, Perseus spotted his friend surrounded by a few Slytherins. He quickly strode over, hoping to avoid a conflict. "Hello, Justin," Perseus greeted."-and what do we have here?" His sinister glare was on Dawn, Isabella, Crabbe, and Kris. "What are you doing here, Mary?"

Mary nodded to Perseus in greeting as he joined in the festivities. She could hardly say she knew the older boy but he had seemed amicable when they had meet prior to this and she was glad there was another person there who did not wish to rip Justin to pieces. He then addressed her inquiring as to the reason for her presence. “Oddly enough I happened to stumble upon this lovely gathering when it was simply Justin, Dawn, and Isabella; and everything just grew up around me.” She explained being as causal as possible in such a hostile environment.

Kris smirked listening to Mary’s explanation about what was going on to the boy who had just approached them after Mary had stood up. He had probably been the only one who noticed Mary’s hand slipping into her pocket, where she usually kept her wand. “There were some… conflicts of interests and views here,” Kris added to Mary’s explanations, leaving a noticeable pause between his words. Kris moved to sit a bit more comfortably, leaning his back against the rock. He didn’t plan on pulling his wand on anyone today – at least not on the people around. He would protect himself, if it came down to that, but he made sure he was in the middle out of the immediate cross-fire.
“I doubt that it’s a private party here though,” Kris added calmly taking in the new situation before him and doing some quick calculations in his head as he measured each person with his eyes, starting with the new-comer. He seemed friendly enough to Justin so he wasn’t in completely hostile or neutral environment alone anymore.

Dawn yawned as the young Gryffindor spoke towards him and Isabella. He seemed tired, and Dawn was beginning to become also- Due to the fact she wanted some spice tonight and this boy was nothing but smoke.
Perseus arrived. They were aquantances. They were friends once before- in the beginning of Dawn's 5th year- but they havent spoke since then. She was full of Pure power- and Perseus wasnt that black hearted as she was but they yet still could agree on a few things. Dawn watched as he approched the group. Soon after Mary and Kris spoke. Dawn was getting angry. They were both Slytherins. It didnt matter their year! This wasnt a show made for them! If they had a side, Then they should TAKE IT! Dawn listened as they spoke as she glared back at the lone Gryffindor.
"Excuse me, You were the one who messed up on your charm if anything. If I understood you correctly, I think you actually ment to make my hair turn into snakes.... Oh how way off you were. I gave you one week for doing a spell on a Prefect, and a second for being an imbicile and doing it horridly wrong!" Dawn glared. "As a Pureblood, I would have expected more!" Dawn on the ground as she slipped her hood back over her head. The temperature seemed to drop suddenly.

Perseus was stuck in the middle of the situation. He was an old acquaintance of Dawn and Justin's old buddy. His opinion of course was that Slytherins and Gryffindors shared a lot in common. But then, he was also in a fairly bad mood. If he sided with Justin, Dawn would no longer be an old acquaintance; she would mark him as an enemy. If he betrayed Justin, it would only lower his status among the multitudinous acquaintances he had outside of his house. He stared up into the Cimmerian sky and at the moon, which was like a beacon of light in a raging sea of clouds. Perhaps it was time to embrace his true ideals instead of living in a world of gray. He would stand by Justin, even if it meant becoming enemies with every other Slytherin their was. Perseus stood resolute by Justin and slipped out his wand clandestinely. If there was to be a conflict, let it be.
"I'm sorry, Dawn, but, if you are going to attack Justin, here, I have no choice but to defend him," Perseus said with a bit of anger. "Right now, there are three Slytherins against Justin. Will I stand on the sidelines? No! Of course not. To make this just and even, I will side with Justin." He knew that this choice would bring him the trouble of having to keep a vigilant eye on every Slytherin in his dormitory. However, he knew that half-bloods and muggleborns far outnumbered purebloods and it would be the smarter move.

(OOC- I am sorry but this post is not going any so lets spice it up.)
Isabella looked over towards Kris and Mary who had not taken any sides. This didnt seem like a show to her and they should pick one side of the other. Rolling her eyes at the two she notcied that someone else came up. It was Perseous Feynman a fellow sixth year Slytherin and muggle lover. Glaring at him she looked from him to Justin. The two seemed to know each other and it was geting quite interesting. She had not been in a duel for a while and didnt intend too unless it was for other reasons. Looking off into the sky she thought of home and her sister came to mind first. Closing her eyes Isabella tried to push back the sadness. She could not break down in front of everyone just yet. Reopening her eyes she felt anger rise within her and she shot the two boys dark glances. Tonight was going to be enventful and Isabella knew it.
Pulling her hood of her cloak over her head more she looked at everyone. No one dared speak at the moment and she was geting rather bored at the moment. But then she heard Dawn speak of Justin as useless. It was quite right if she intending on making her hair into snakes but changed her color to blue. He should of given more time in detention like a month of two but it wasnt her thing to know. Pulling her cloak more on her body as she felt the tempatures droop. Shivering she listened to the silence once again. Geting irraticed she looked at the boys, "I thought this was going to be an eventful night but instead its becoming a bore feast." Isabella said in a calm down and felt like picking on each of the boys. She than heard Pereus speak to them in such a voice that would make her slap him acorss the face. "Persues don't mind us we are only having some fun. No need to rise your voice now. But at the moment all is still and boring" Isabella said and yawned. This was not geting anywhere now.

Justin heard Kris and he sort of grinned, but he soon felt the grin disappear off of his face, as Kris said that he was'nt being very smart right now. "Oh well, at least I'll go down fighting, that is if I lose." he thought to himself. He sort of grinned at what Kris had said next. At least he would'nt be totally alone, well not exactly at least. He felt that Kris was'nt taking his side, but he had'nt taken the other Slytherins either.
He glanced behind him at Kris and Mary. He saw Mary slip her hand into her pocket and clench something, more than likely her wand. He realised that it was a tense situation for her, but he did'nt know how things were going to turn out. He saw Mary then stand up and walk, placing herself in the middle of the group, but not anywhere near where she could get hit by a spell unless they richocheted off of each other. He turned back around and heard footsteps in the snow. He then looked around and smiled.
It was none other than his good friend ,Perseus Feynman. He greeted Justin, so Justin said " Hi there Perseus and what we have here is a very interesting turn of events." He heard Mary explain why she was here and he remembered that it had just been Dawn, Isabella, and himself; only just twenty or so, minutes ago. he noticed that Kris to made sure that he was out of range of getting hit by a spell.
He heard Dawn and knew what she said was true. He had meant for her hair to turn into snakes, but it ws one of his off nights. Still though he had messed up, but she had no right to tell him that. Just then he felt someone step up next to him. He loked over at Perseus as he talked. He grinned and said " Well ,Perseus old buddy, seems like I'm rubbing off on you, but then again I always did admire your brains. So, I'm guessing that you already know the consequences of your choice. Wait a second, of course you do, you are aftre all the smartes person in school, except, perhaps Jaquin of course. Anyways I'm glad you decided to side with me rather than Dawn. I'd have already lost if you had." He then heard Isabella. Justin slipped his left hand into his pocket and pull out his wand stealthily. He could'nt answer for Perseus, but he to felt sure that both girls intended to start a duel.

Mary listened as Kris added to her sentiment that it was neither a privet party nor a joyful occasion. Justin and Dawn then continued to bicker about the past, which seemed to be the reason for their fight. Perseus then took Justin’s side and Isabella spoke about how boring it all was. Next thing she knew the two boys had their wands out, apparently in response to the actions of the girls. The lines seemed to be drawn and there was no middle ground; it was too late to back out now.
Mary removed her wand from her pocket the quickly and quietly moved over to the other side of Justin; standing somewhat behind. She knew there was no reason to make a show about it; everyone was bound to notice. Neither side seemed right in this argument; but they had been trying to intimidate and threaten Justin, therefore he was less wrong. “You guys can’t wait for a fair fight? You have to go after him when all that’s around are Slytherins? What does that say about you?” Mary asked the girls with more force then she had thought she possessed. Inside she was terrified, never having been around a real fight before, nevermind involved. But she knew what she thought was right and picking a fight when it appears to be five to one is what gives Slytherins a bad name. She knew these girls did not need to do that, they could win a fair fight, and so they should be forced to.

"No, you stay out of this, Mary," Perseus said with a backwards glance. "You have no place in this fight." Then, turning towards Isabella, Crabbe, and Dawn, Perseus commented, "You see, I had some reliable first years listen to your plans about making the lives of muggleborns, half-bloods, and purebloods "traitors" hell. Then, they told me that you intended to frame me. That is definitely backstabbing and it is something that I will never forgive you for." He looked at Dawn and could see that the events were thoroughly monotone in her view. The other Slytherin girl, though not a "Queen", began mocking him with very little efficacy. "So, is it a duel you want to start, eh? Well, if it is a duel and a Prefect like you, Dawn, started it, we would never get in trouble. You see, right now, there are two witnesses, Mary and Kris. I can fully trust Mary, so, if a Slytherin sides with us, you could never hand out punishments.
He watched a dark cloud move overhead and at the moon, which stared down upon them like a single eye, glowing in the sky. Then, turning his attention to the antediluvian castle, Perseus wondered if any of the teachers could see them. Many windows were still glowing and Perseus was growing in suspicion and anger. Was Dawn setting them up? He knew that she had planned something with that group of older Slytherins. Or was he just being overly paranoid.
((Dawn, start the duel.))

Kris watched the situation unroll in front of him and noticed that the situation wasn’t really letting anyone stay neutral. There wasn’t much doubt in whose side he would choose, so Kris slipped his wand in his sleeve, where it was kept hidden from the eyes of whoever might have looked their way. The tip of his wand was positioned between his second and third finger, so he would be able to cast a spell imiidiately still.
Kris stood calmly and noticing Mary seemed a bi nervous, slipped to stand next to her, squeezing her shoulder reassuringly for a moment. The girl was at least 2 years younger than the rest of the group, so she should be nervous. She had less back-groudn from where to draw spells and they wouldn’t be as effective.
“A little practice could never hurt,” Kris drawled icily examining the three sixth year SLytherins in front of him calmly. He would probably like o get Crabbe with some hex, he decided silently. Leave Dawn and Isabella to Perseus and Justin who seemed to have a bone picked with them.
SO Kris held his wand ready, but covered by his sleeve and waited to see what would happen.

(( Anyone can start the duel. I dont have to do anything. )) Dawn stood in the cold as she saw Perseus walk towards Justin. Listening to his speech- Dawn merely tuned him out. She knew he would go on about the normal stuff people yell at her about. How she is a bully- etc and is fighting for no reason. Seconds later Mary walked towards Justin's side. Dawn smiled as Perseus told her to back off. "Listen to him now, dearest. You are merely a thrid year. One blast from any wand would be out of your limit! If Perseus wasnt here- you would have NEVER went to Justin's side. Som if you care to fight- go hide behind Perseus, he'll save you!" Seconds later Kris went to Justin's side. It was an ALREADY KNOWN FACT- he would follow Mary to where ever she picked. Dawn merely shrugged. "Do as you please Kris- Follow Miss Evans... you have been ever since you arrived- also before that time also. Are you a stalker!?" she asked and she didnt expect a reply. Dawn was the last one to take out her wand. Holding it in her right hand she glared at Justin and Perseus. Perseus made her more angry. She never said anything about him being friends to a mudblood for a halfblood. Of course she didnt approve but she NEVER said anything against him- Dawn HATED when words were put in her own mouth. Suddenly Dawn flicked her wrist as she pointed to the lake. Suddenly the top of the entire lake turned into five feet tall black and grey flames. The heat of the flames pushed towards the land where everyone was standing. Breathing in- for once- warm air, Dawn's eyes flickered in the flames. (( I want EVERYONE TO KNOW- if this does end up as a duel- you can not Godmod (posting saying that your spell actually worked on a person) Also, If someone casts a spell at you YOU MUST BE FAIR! Not one person on this site can dart every spell- let alone one single one. Harry Potter cant, and Deffinatly no one in this post will be able. If you do deflect the spell- Post that something effected you, as small as it may be, do post that the spell did work. You must be fair! Isabella looked as Mary steeped up. This was going to be amusing for her to watch. Puting one hand on her hip she watched the little girl. She would get hurt no less than a mintute and Isabella didnt wont to deal with taking her to the hospital wing. Watching as she went behind Perceus she agreed to the arganements and turned to Kris who was also at Liondorks side. What was the problem with Slytherins these days? The sorting hat was bringing in Muggle lovers? That angered Isabella, "Go right ahead Kris but you will be sorry. Its three sixths years against one other sixth year and then a fifth year and than another. Of course us N.E.W.T.s students know more about the dark arts than you. So go right ahead or hide behind little miss Mary over thee." Isabella said and looked up at the sky.
Dark clouds continued to soar above the students head. More gust of wind came after them and Isabella much preffered to duel inside. Yawning she tied her cloack more on her body. Shivering she noticed some warmth come her way. Looking to the side she saw the lake was talling with black flames coming out. Admiring it she smiled slyly and took out her wand. "Now who wants to go first?" Isabella said smiling. This wasnt getin boring after all.

Perseus stared with incredulity as she lit the area with flames that spread from the lake. This was magic rarely used and Perseus did not really know what Dawn planned to implement them as. Was she going to burn them with the flames or was this all just and illusion? He stared up at the Cimmerian sky, which was an amalgamation of black and purple. The forest echoed with the incessant sounds of wild creatures and the primeval castle was not pitch black. Perseus stared at the pillars of flame that rose from the dark, lifeless lake. He saw it move towards them and raised his wand, ready to deflect it. "-And what is this supposed to be, Dawn?" Perseus asked with an evil grin. "An invention of yours? Or is this just an illusion. But, we'll see."
Perseus moved to the side, away from Justin and raised his wand. He swung it in a figure eight, before making strange symbols with the tip of his wand. "Arcesso Fontis Undos," Perseus chanted as water surged from the lake in a series of waves, acting very much like a mini-Tsunami. The water rose about 40 ft. into the air and fell upon the pillars of flame with an almighty crash.

Dawn circled her wand as the flames vanished. Perseus spoke as Dawn tapped her wand at her side. He was a smart wizard- but Dawn was brought up on Dark Arts as well, of course it ran in her family. Perseus shot a spell at Isabella, Crabbe, and Herself. Dawn stepped back with her left floot as she held out her wand ahead of her. "Exempt de mur!" Dawn exclaimed as she squared her wand over her. Water came flushing down over her. But, The box Dawn made shielded her from some of the water. She was slightly pulled towards the water as she resisted and merely moved two feet away from her origninal position.
Putting her wand down, Dawn circled her wand as she shot a blue bolt towards the group. "Mouche dans le vent!" It was a spell which pushed the reciever(s) due to extreme forces of wind.

"Scutatus Tegotegeros Tesos Tectum," Perseus said as he twirled his wand. A shield of blinding white light was formed in the shape of a hemisphere in front of Perseus. It took the full impact of Dawn's attack, but, Perseus still staggered backwards two steps. He was definitely not ready to give up. Dawn seemed to be the concentration point of a prodigious amount of magical power, but, Perseus was confident that Justin would be able to fight her. "You take Dawn, Justin! I'll make sure that Crabbe and Isabella don't harm anyone," he said. "Mary, I want you to stay out of this fight. Kris, if you are truly on our side, then, you will duel Crabbe." He looked at them both expectantly and hoped that they would follow his instructions.
In verity, Perseus had not expected such a tumultuous duel like this to ensue. He had, in fact, expected Dawn and the other "bullying" Slytherin's to back off after he arrived. But, it was unequivocal, that their belligerent natures had taken over. Perseus turned towards Isabella and pointed his wand at her. "Fulmen Ignius!!" he bellowed. A cascade of light blue of lighting erupted from within his wand and headed straight for Isabella. This was highly advanced "dark" magic, and it was impossible to block the attack fully, unless you were Albus Dumbledore, of course.

Justin watched as Dawn conjured up her flames. Raising an eyebrow at this, he thought that something was strange about the flames. Looking at Perseus, he could see that Perseus was thinking the same thing. Suddenly, Perseus conjured up some waves to destroy the flames. Man Perseus was really fierce in this duel. He could'nt help but look as Dawn protected herself from the water. Just as Dawn sent her next spell at them, Perseus blocked it , but just was blown back a couple of feet. Grinning, he heard Perseus shout out some orders and Justin said " Okay Perseus, I trust your judgement."
Facing Dawn he said " Well guess it's you and me again, Dawn." He lifted his wand, pointed it at her and said " Stite En Mon." and watched as the hios spell took effect, making the tree's roots behind her, shot up out of the ground and attepted to restrain her.

Mary glared at Perseus and stayed put as he told her to stay out of it. Sure she knew she really was too young to be in it but it certainly was not his place to tell her that. Mary did not take orders from anyone; she was a Slytherin after all. She did feel a bit better though still mad when he said he could fully trust her. ‘Maybe because that silly boggart told him all my secrets in Weinig Zug so he knows I have to be trustworthy’ she thought. Even though he did not seem the kind to blackmail something must have gotten him into Slytherin and she had yet to figure out what it was. Mary’s comfort then increased tenfold as Kris came up beside her and squeezed her shoulders; he was like a big brother to her and she knew he would never let her get hurt.
Dawn then added her two-cents saying that Mary should stay back blah blah blah, Mary may not know exactly what she was doing, but she knew it was right. She rolled her eyes at the older girl as it was implied she was hiding behind Perseus and Dawn said that she never would have gone over there had he not been present. Mary simply stepped forward right beside Justin, Perseus on the other side. Mary then giggled as Dawn asked if Kris was her stalker, it was a tense situation to be sure but Mary couldn’t help it. Mary didn’t know of a single instance in his whole life where Kris made a decision based on another’s choices.
Suddenly Mary felt warmth spread through her and looked to where it seemed to be coming from. At the lake was a wall of black and grey fire; it reminded Mary of the fires and hell and she shivered despite the sudden heat. As soon as it appeared it was gone though. Mary was drawn out of her reverie by Isabella speaking and watched as Perseus put out the flames and sent the water at the three sixth years. Mary stood in awe as Dawn protected herself but did not see the fate of the other two as Dawn sent a spell at them. Perseus managed to block it but Mary having been a little away from him still got hit rather strong by the blast.
She felt herself being pushed back several feet until she crumpled up hitting a tree. Mary heard Perseus tell her to stay out of it. Had he not realised she was not one to take orders? Ignoring him she made an attempt to get up but her head had hit rather hard and she was incredibly dizzy. Kris had been told to deal with Crabbe and Mary decided to join him regardless of what any of them say. She grabbed a branch and hauled herself up swaying horribly. She held herself there for a few moments as she got her bearings then walked over to Kris. Even if what Dawn said about one spell taking her out was true at least it was a spell directed at her giving someone else an opening to attack.

Kris grinned, listening as Dawn and Isabella try to mock him, calling him a stalker and saying, he would have never picked a side, if Mary hadn’t been present. Did they really think that would affect him? Mary was like a younger sister, but Kris wouldn’t let that cloud his judgments much. “No, I’m not a stalker. But if I was – I can think of some girls who wouldn’t mind that at all,” Kris drawled out slowly, “And don’t brag about your victory, Isabella, before you have it.”<br> Kris watched as Dawn conjured up flames and Perseus extinguished them and they more or less started the duel. He had also been further from Perseus, so he was also hit rather badly with Dawn’s curse. He was pushed back a few metres, but grabbing hold of a tree-branch, Kris managed to stay up. He saw Mary being pushed behind him somewhere, but now wouldn’t be the time to check her well-being. Kris pushed himself away from the tree and faced Crabbe, pushing back a strand of his shoulder-length black hair, which had came loose of his pony-tail.
“My pleasure. Never liked the ugly idiot anyway,” Kris sneered towards Crabbe. The boy might have been taller and more bulky than, he but that also made him slower. Besides Kris had a sharp and quick mind – the Sorting Hat had considered Ravenclaw for him as well, even when only for a short moment. “Tendu musculature!” Kris casted a spell, he had learned from one of his relatives in France. She was a retired Auror and good practice. The spell would make all persons muscle strain to pain, making it harder and painful to move, even if it was to cast a spell. When it worked fully, it would cause such pain, that the victim would drop his wand. It hadn’t worked fully this time though, Kris knew immediately after casting the spell. The pronunciation had been a bit off, so Kris waited tos ee, if it still had had some effect or not. French sometimes asted a bit eccentric hexes, which worked good though, so Kris just hoped that Crabbe wouldn't know the counter-charm for it so it would affect him to some point at least.
Kris let a smirk play at the corners of his mouth as he waited to see how Crabbe would retaliate. Kris always fought with a small smile. Most people got so furious because of it, thinking of it as mockery, that they lost their heads and started making stupid mistakes. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw Mary approaching and Kris frowned in his mind. He didn’t want the younger girl to be hurt.

Perseus shot orders around. Dawn actually smiled. Of COURSE, everyone was going to listen to him. He was a 6th year Slytherin. Justin was first to do exactly what he said- obviously a usless man who cant do ANYTHING off of him own mind.
Justin sent a spell towards the trees behind Dawn. Suddenly roots bursted from the ground. One wrapped aroun Dawn's leg, as it crawled up her body. Dawn was pulled to the ground as she blurted out, "Vignes du feu!" As fire erupted from her wand and started to burn the roots which were wrapped around her leg. Dawn's spell spread through two trees, as they started to erupt in flames. Still on the ground, since Dawn burned her own leg, slightly- She tensoned her wand and Shouted towards the whole crowd across from her, "Gefrorener Verstand!" as it seemed as if ice shot out of her wand and froze anything its path. It crept over to group, as Dawn pushed herself off the ground and tryed to stand.

Isabella watched as the sixth year gave directions to the others. Putting her hands on her hips she waited. Smirking at the boy who had challenged her she raised her wand. She was as ready as can be. After upon hearing the spell she froze and started to let her mind think. It was a hard spell to defend on but she had to try her best. "Albus Murus" She shouted and a white barrier formed in front of her. She knew it wasn’t going to be powerful enough but it will shield her from enough damage.
As she watched the blue light hit her barrier she fell into the snow. She shielded her eyes from the bright light and reopened them as she was ready. The light had vanished and she felt her eyes hurt. Standing up she wiped off some snow of her body. Smiling slyly she walked back up and held out her wand. "Flamma Incursio" She said powerfully with a movement of her wrist. A red fiery light shot towards the boy. It was also a powerful "dark" magic spell that was supposed to inclose the boy with red firey flames that couldnt vanish by water.
