Kiyla walked out into the night air and looked up at the clouds. It was rather clear. She could see some constellations yet she dind't know their names. She wished she'd payed more attenetion in Astronomy.
Kiyla walked into the courtyard with a smile. She liked coming out at night, after all she was a night creature in a way. She smiled to herself as she sat on a bench near the fountain but with a perfect view at the sky.
Kiyla sat on the bench then looked around quickly making sure she saw no one. She didn't. She layed her body down on the bench and lifted her knees up as if she was about to do sit ups. She put her arms behind her head and looked directly up at the sky filled with dozons of dazziling stars. She smiled faintly and stared lazily into the sky thinking about things... namely a boy.
She fell off the bench when she head a noise come form behind her.

Katie was startled by kiyla she completly froze. No one so far wanted to be her friend or have anything to do with her. She sit aside her atromly book and helped Kylia up. "are you okay" she said pushing some dirt off her shoulder  . |

Kiyla felt so stupid for falling off the bench. She stood up with the help of a younger girl.
"Thank you. I'm fine." She said feeling even dumber.
'Oh great I embarass myself infront of a little Gryffindor.' Kiyla thought to herself with a snort. She shook her head again and cursed herself for thinking badly about the girl. After all they had only just met.

Katie smiled at Kiyla she was also clumsy in her own kind of way.
"I beet she thinks I am a little first year brat" Katie thought to herself pulling back her long brown hair.
"um... errr....." Katie tried to say making herslef talk.
"Err...... do you have any advice for a first year.... I mean whats your name" Katie said to Kylia. Katie also noticed that Kiyla didn’t seem to like her but she pushed that thought out of her mind.

Kiyla smiled uncertainly at the young girl.
"I'm Kiyla, 3rd Year, Hufflepuff... what is a first year like you doing out here at this time?" Kiyla asked the younger girl curiously.
She didn't know the girl but she thought she might as well give her a chance. In a way she reminded her of herself when she was a first year.

Katie looked down at the ground she knew the reason why she was outside but she felt as if she told Kiyla she would laugh. Uneasily Katie looked around to see if anyone else was around.
"I just took a break from studying" Katie lied looking at Kiyla. Her cheek turned red when she lied. Katie could fell the hotness in her cheeks.
"Why did I just lied why can’t I tell her I miss my father and I could have a good cry" Katie thought looking at Kiyla as her checks got redder.

Jordan bounded down the stairs and ran outside to the courtyard. Spotted Kiyla half way across from where she stood and raised her arms.
"KIYLA!" She yelled. She then smiled and ran down some more stairs and approached her friend.
"Ello!" She said to the Gryffindor that she hadn't seen next to her fellow Hufflepuff. The Gryffindor was a first year, that was certain. She looked a little homesick.
"I'm Jordan. Jordan Cortes. And you are....?"

Katie looked at Jordan she seemed very nice she was also an huffle and friends with kylia.
"I am Katie, Katie Davenport and who are you" katie said with a smile. It was close to being dark out but Katie wonted to meet some new people and make new friends.
"remember to send an owl my father telling how much i miss him" katie thought making a mental note. She noticed her checks have gone down in redness and looked at Jordan smiling.

"Ohhhh yeah i am a little slow" katie said in a dumb blonde way. She was a dumb blonde in the brains at times but a burrnet. Katie ignored Jordan chuckle. "Yes i am new and i need a few pointers on how to get through snapes class i am with slytherians there so so so so sly and mean" katie said.

"Not all of them are sly and mean. There are a few who are nice. And to survive snapes class, be silent unless called on and dont laugh if anything happens to a Slytherin. Other than that you will be fine." Jordan answered with an encouraging smile.
"And another thing that might help is, Parvati Patil. She is a sixth year. Great artist, thats how I know her...but anyway, she can help you. Maybe you should talk to her. She's really nice." Jordan smiled again and sat down on the bench.

"Yes i know about the part of being silent i never know what his is talking about its like another langue but that malfoy and i think her name is pancy seem very mean" katie sat down on the bench as well. She was very confused about everything she went from top student at a muggle junior high to a bad student at Hogwarts.

"No need to repay. We've been in your place before, and we had some people to help us along the way. We know how it feels." Jordan said as she opened her shoulderbag and withdrew some chocolates.
"One thing you will learn bout me, Katie. IS that I always always always have some sort of candy with me. I have a very big sweet tooth." Jordan smiled and held the box to Katie, indicating she should take one.

Katie smiled at jordan she can fell a bubble of joy and happiness rising within her. She looked inside the bag and took out something called a chocolate frog. 'Is this really a chocolate frog" katie asked she knew never was as it seemed here at hogwarts.

katie laughed and looked at her card she got in the chocolate frog. It was Dumbledore , katie moved the card back an forh and watch him diapear. "I read a book before i came to Hogwarts caleld Hogwrats a history i was wonder are first years allowed to go to Hodesmade" katie akes pting away her card.

Jordan's face fell and she shook her brown head.
"No. Only third and above. Sadly though." Jordan answered as she finished the rest of her chocolate frog.
"Its wicked fun though!" She added with a small smile.

"Cool i cant wait until i am a thrid year i wonder when the triwizard tournment will be held at hogwarts again i read all about it" katie said puling back her long brown hair. She loved to read book of all sizes and very long ones.
