((Sorry didn't have enough room in the title , Major book charries (I.E. Harry, the Weasleys) can come and visit)) Ron groaned slightly as his eyes began to open. What had happened? He couldn't seem to remember anything. His eyes slid open and he looked about the room, which looked vaguely familiar. With a jolt he recognized it as the Hospital Wing. 'What am I doing here?' He thought to himself. Looking down he noticed his left leg was in a cast and it was suspended in the air. His foot had also been heavily bandaged. When he went to turn his neck he was confronted by a jab of pain that he had to grimace through. The sight of the injuries and the shot of pain brought his memories back. He had been sitting in pub with a Slytherin girl. He hadn't meant to sit with a Slytherin but before he noticed what she was he had already ordered his drink. As he waited for his drink there came a loud explosion from outside. Ron joined the crowd that went to see what was happening and before he knew it he was swept up in the large wave of people running for their life's. Some people screamed. "Death eaters are attacking! Death Eaters are attacking!" 'Death eaters? In Diagon alley?' Thought Ron to himself. It was at that moment than another explosion happened and a nearby building keeled over. crushing many people in the alley. Ron had been stuck under that rubble until everything went black and he woke up here. Working his neck slowly to get the stiffness out of it he looked around again. The beds of the hospital wing were filled with Hogwarts students. St. Mungos must of been overflowing and all the students were sent to Hogwarts. In the beds flanking him Ron noticed Ginny and Hermione. Both of them looked bad, Hermione looked a bit worse than Ginny. Ron looked at the end of his bed and noticed a clipboard, it was hanging on the end of the bed. The night table next to him held his wand. 'Well, I am in Hogwarts.' thought Ron as he grabbed his wand. "Accio Clipboard!" He said as the clipboard flew at him. The clipboard held his injuries. A broken leg, lacerated foot, stiff neck. Madam Pomfrey must be busy, these injuries usually would be a snap to heal. Ron laid his head back down on the pillow, his neck screaming in relief.

Arthur Weasley had been out and about when he saw an owl flying to him. Arthur frowned, wondering where exactly the owl was going. He continued on his way to the Burrow, deciding that he would try the muggle way of transportation. It was rather fascinating that muggles could travel this far without magic. Arthur thought about it for a long while, lost in thought until he noticed that an owl was standing in the side-walk a few feet in front of him, holding its leg out expectantly. He had almost stepped on it before he reached down to untie the letter that was there. Scanning it carefully, Arther felt his grip on it tighten. It stated quite clearly that Ron and Ginny had been hurt in the attack. He swallowed painfully and looked back the letter, making sure he had read it right. Indeed, he had. Ron and Ginny....He started to do Apparition right there and then when he looked back at the letter. It was just addressed to him and and Molly. Arther, being closer to Hogwarts at the moment, had received it first. Sighing, he reattached the letter to the owl and let it go on its way. They might have sent another owl to Molly but just in case, he would send this one to her. After all, Molly would be terribly worried about Ron and Ginny. Now, he turned and did Apparition on the spot, focusing just outside the Hogwarts Grounds.
Arthur strode up the lawn of Hogwarts, his worry increasing with each step. It hadn't said what exactly had happened to the two of them, except that they weren't mortally injured. He knew that Madam Pomfrey could heal things easily but he still wished to hear their account of how they had gotten hurt. Arthur was very aware of Diagon Alley's attack but he didn't want to be reminded of it. The wizarding world was now in true panic and no where was safe, much less Hogwarts. Arthur sighed, knowing that Dumbledore had to be very busy at the moment, as well with the Ministry. Arthur had only been in the office for a few hours and that was before the attack. He was going to have to return very soon to attend to the troublesome matters at hand. He was sure that the Minister wouldn't mind if he went to visit his children first. Arthur reached the front doors and wrenched them open, moving quickly. He had heard of the casualties also. He knew that the two Hogwarts students: Susan Bones and Hannah Abbot must be suffering from the losses. Arthur was very glad that nothing had happened to any family member yet. If there had been this many attacks there was sure to be more. He just hoped none of his children were involved. Pushing open the Hospital Wing door, Arthur Weasley glanced around, clearly concerned. He noticed Ron, Ginny and Hermione. He went over to Ron's bed and sat down in the chair, glancing at him and the the two girl's. He wasn't sure if Ron was awake or not, but he soon saw that Ron was only resting. Settling down in his chair, Mr. Weasley gazed at Ron.
"Ron?" Arthur asked wearily. He glanced once more at the two girls flanking Ron's bed before turning his attention back to his son. "How are you feeling?" Arthur noticed that a clipboard was laying near him. Reaching out, he gently lifted it from the bed and glanced at it. It held Ron's injuries. It appeared that Ron had a lacerated foot, a stiff neck and a broken leg. Arthur couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Most people didn't survive a Death Eater attack, but of course the three he was sitting near have done and Harry even more than them. Arthur looked around quickly expecting to see Harry but found that he wasn't in the Hospital Wing. It struck him as odd that Harry hadn't been involved somehow but then the Death Eaters weren't always after the boy. Arthur turned his attention back to Ron and waited to hear how bad he felt.

It had happened all so fast. One minute Ginny had been sitting in a juice/snack bar with Hermione talking about….Well she didn’t quite remember. Then the next people began to scream and run out of the shop for their lives. But before the two girls could get out, the building had collapsed burying them alive in piles of wood. Ginny could also remember dark hooded figures walking around....Death Eaters! They had planned this. Why? Harry Potter wasn't at Diagon Alley....Could it have been a diveration while the others were doing something else? But what else could they have been doing? So many questions popped in Ginny's head as she still lay in a bed. What happened to Hermione? Did she make it through safe? Ginny wouldn't know what to do if Hermione hadn't made it through. Just so many things had happened over the year. Two kidnappings, Death Eaters attacking Hogwarts and now Diagon Alley. How were students going to get supplies? Did anybody else die? Ginny head began to throb with endless questions rushing in and being replaced with another.
A few hours later Ginny began to groan in pain as her head began to throb wildly. Her eyes darted forward as she blinked a couple of times trying to push aside the pain. "Hermione!?" Ginny called out shooting straight forward screaming in pain from her sides. Clutching her ribs tightly water began to fill her brown eyes making everything a blurry. Ginny's head was throbbing in pain and her ribs hurt so badly. "Where am I?" she said in a whisper staring blankly around trying to recognize anything. There were maney students sleeping or talking in the long rows of beds.....It looked like the hospital wing at Hogwarts. But why wasn't she at St. Mungos? "Hermione are you there?" Ginny began again looking at the bed next to her. There lay a familiar figure with bushy brown hair, sleeping and still breathing. Letting out a sigh of relief Ginny began to ease herself slowly back down on the bed yelping in pain if she went to fast.
Once settled back in the bed Ginny closed her eyes hard as her head ached even more. Why couldn't the pain just disapear? Turning over on her side she stared out down the long rows of beds and saw a glint of red hair in the bed across from hers. "Daddy?" Ginny called out seeing Mr. Weasley sitting down next to his son. Closing her eyes hard again Ginny cleared her mind of thoughts but it just made the pain even worse. "My head hurts so badly..." she groaned turning over on her back holding back the tears of pain.

Ron's neck had been causing him pain due to all the motion he was doing. When he finally lay back all the pain went away and his body went into a soothing relaxed state. He felt the weariness of his body at that point and his eyes began to close. There was movement at his side and his eyes opened again. Ron looked up and smiled as he saw his father looking down at him. Arthur grabbed a chair and sat down next to him. Arthur asked how Ron was feeling and Ron felt the clipboard slide gently out from under his fingers.
Ron scooted back a little so he could sit up and prop his back up against the headrest of the bed. Ron winced at the pain in his neck and than looked at his father. "Hey Dad." Ron sighed slightly. "I feel alright, I suppose. My neck is killing me, and my left leg is all numb. I suppose I got lucky." Ron looked down as a thought occurred to him. He wasn't suppose to have been in Diagon alley by himself. His parents had given them all instructions to never venture out alone. Ron sighed, "Dad, I'm sorry that I went to Diagon alley alone. I...I didn't think that the Death Eaters would attack such a large place filled with so many people."
Ron slowly turned and looked down at Ginny. Ron slightly blamed himself for what happened to her. He should have known she would be at Diagon. He hadn't seen her at the house. "Had, had I known Ginny was there. I might have been able to keep her from getting hurt. I know I could have." Just at that moment Ginny woke up and started to complain about her head. "Ginny, try not to move it. You might have a concussion."

Arthur let a flicker of a smile flash across his face but then it vanished. He was happy Ron was taking but yet worried when he winced as he sat up. "Maybe you should lay down, Ron." he said taking in the bandages on his leg and foot. He had been lucky, so very lucky next to the poor folk who weren't alive anymore. He didn't think this the best thing to tell Ron, mostly because he would perk up if he knew about deaths. Arthur sighed wearily, just like Ron was doing. He and Molly had given the specific instructions not to wonder out alone. He should have none that they might just bend the instructions but he had thought that they would have noticed that the wizarding world was in a slight panic. Or was. Now, they were in an uproar. Arthur's eyes dropped slightly as he thought of all the work he would do at the Ministry and all the people who were still at St.Mungo's. Arthur looked at Ron slightly angry and yet slightly amused.
"Yes, I know what you mean. I would have never thought that they would go this far to attack Diagon Alley. But still -" he added, slightly more stern, "- take what your and I say very seriously next time." he smiled, knowing that they probably would. Being hurt may not feel the greatest but it taught a good lesson to most. Arthur remembered the bite he had sustained about two years ago. Had he learned anything? He smile widened slightly but it then turned into a frown as Ron explained that he could have helped Ginny if he had known she was there. Arthur couldn't exactly think of anything to comfort Ron at this point but he stopped thinking of one when he heard Ginny's voice.
"Ginny," he called softly, getting up to his feet slowly and walking over to Ginny. He sat in the chair between her bed and Ron's so he could talk to both. He forced a smile on his lips as he looked down at his only daughter. "You'll be fine Ginny. Just lay down. Rest." he didn't feel much like lecturing Ginny when her head was hurting. He turned back to Ron, a grim expression playing across his face. "What happened? Could you tell me exactly what?" he asked somberly, knowing that Ron probably wouldn't wish to relive this experience. Arthur was very worried about what had happened and he, of course, already knew some of the details but not the smaller ones Ron would be able to supply. He gave another small smile Ginny's way to comfort her before turning to back to his son.

Ron shook his head slightly, which turned out to be barely a move of the head. "No, I'm ok dad. I just have a stiff neck, thats all." Ron sat quietly as his father gave a small lecture. Ron thought back to the attack. If the death eaters had the nerve to attack Diagon Alley, and had the means to pull it off successfully. Than that meant they were a force to be reckoned with, in brute strength as well as stealth. Ron doubted that even the burrow was safe. If they death eaters had won a battle in a area that held over 100 witches and wizards, how safe could the burrow be?
Arthur stood up from his seat and took the seat that was between Ginny and Ron's bed so that he would be able to talk to them both. Arthur said some words of comfort to Ginny before turning back to Ron and asking what had happened. Ron looked down and sighed again as he thought back once more. "Well, I'm not quite sure how much of the attack I actually got so see." He fell quiet once more as he thought back to where to start. "Ok, I was at pub. I had just ordered my drink and was waiting for it to come when a explosion was heard outside. I, along with many others, stepped outside to see what was happening. When I got outside I saw a building on fire. I think it was Magical Mengerie."
Here was where Ron lost sight of almost everything. "It was than that everyone began to run for their lives. I was swept up in the crowd and I was forced to give up fighting against the push of the crowd. I did manage one look back and I saw." Ron thought about it for a moment, it was huge, larger than anything Ron had ever seen before. "A giant! There were giants attacking. Anyway we continued to run, it was really chaotic, people screaming and running in all directions. Well, one of the buildings than gave way and toppled out into the alley and I was one of the many to get caught in that buildings rubble." Ron shrugged. "Everything went black than and I woke up here."

Harry's summer had started just as they all did, confined to his room at the Dursley's. Of course his treatment had gotten much better over the years, and it was at an all time high now that he had turned seventeen and was allowed to use magic outside of Hogwarts. He made this that Dudley was especially aware of this the moment he turned seventeen by accioing a his breakfast the norming of his Birthday. There was a time when he would never dream of doing such a thing, even if he could, but now with everything he had seen, he no longer cared if the Dursley's saw him use magic.
This particular afternoon he was lying on his bed, trying to read a book on potions. He still had hopes of becoming an Aurour and that was the one subject that was going to hold him back. No matter how hard he tried, Snape had it out for him. Only a tiny bit of his attention was on his book, and it was a welcome distraction to hear an owl bumping up against his window. It was about time he got a letter form Ron asking him to spend the rest of the summer at the Burrow.
Harry pushed himself up from his bed and walked to the window, pushing it open and slipping the letter off the owl's leg and pausing for a moment to watch it quickly depart. It was only then when he realized that the owl wasn't Pig. Odd he thought. He didn't think that the Weasley's would have a new owl, not with Pig around. Besides, why would Ron use an owl other than his own. He pushed the thoughts side and moved so that he sat on the edge of his bed and quickly read through the note he instantly knew was not from Ron, but it was about the Weasley's, and Hermione. It said there had been some sort of attack, and that his friends had suffered injuries and were being taken to Hogwarts for healing.
Harry jumped to his feet, his only thought to grab his wand off his nightstand and shove it into his pocket before appreating to Hogsmead, and for a fleeting moment, he was happy that he had passed his appreation test only a few days before.
He rushed to the Hospital wing as fast as he could manage, and immediately searched for his friends. Despite the fact the hospital wing was far over crowded, he spotted them almost instantly; their beds has been grouped together. "Ron!" He waved through the beds and mass of people to his best friends bed, glancing over his friend to see how bad the damage was.

Ginny let out another moan in pain from her throbbing head. She listened as Ron said not to move and was blaming himself for her actions. Her body than shot straight up from her bed causing Ginny to gasp in pain from her protesting ribs. Clutching her sides tightly with both arms Ginny closed her eyes taking in a breath and felt some relief rush through her body. If she wasn't in this much pain she could be yelling at her older brother. "It's not your fault Ron! I am sick and tired of people blaming themselves for things they didn't do!" Ginny began opening her eyes glaring at her brother. Sighing Ginny turned toward her father as he told her to rest but how could she? "Dad! I can't sleep! I need to know answers! If anybody died? If the Ministry is on the trail?" Ginny said staring up at her father, her brown eyes shinning.
Taking in a breath Ginny just stared at Ron as he began to tell what he remembered what happened. Her head began to throb madly again. Bringing her right arm to her forehead Ginny closed her eyes wishing it could just go away. Turning her attention back to Ron stories she listened intently ignoring the pain. He had been getting a drink when he heard the crashing sound of a store and followed the crowd but got knocked out from one of the collapsed buildings. Once he was finished Ginny sighed turning back toward her father, "Dad I know about not going around by yourself but I had too! I saw Hermione walk down the street alone and followed her into a Juice and snack bar. We were talking about......" Ginny began turning her head at the bed next to her. She stared at Hermione trying to remember more, "I can't remember......but than suddenly I heard screaming and mobs of people began to flee from the shop. Hermione and I tried to get out.......But we couldn't....The building began to collapsed burying us...." Ginny began fixing her gaze from Hermione's bed to a far corner. Her eyes began to shimmer more. She was just so scared when everything began to engrave her.
Just than the hospital wing doors began to open and in came Harry screaming Ron's name. Fixing her gaze from the far corner Ginny just stared at Harry as she went over toward Ron bed. Her brown eyes still shining a bit. Taking in another deep breath she eased herself back down gasping in pain as her ribs began to protest again. "Hello Harry...." she greeted once she had been settled. Staring up at the ceiling Ginny pushed aside her feelings of fear from before. She didn't want to tell that story again. Harry was going to ask more questions from them. Ginny closed her eyes clearing her mind of thought yet again trying to get rid of his stupid headache.

Post by Molly Weasley on Aug 9, 2005 17:42:32 GMT
Molly had been carrying her special clock with her everywhere she went, although the hands on it never moved off of Mortal Peril, unless they were traveling. She hadn't glanced at it in a few minutes, and was getting ready to check it when a rather large, brown owl landed on the table. Molly walked over to the owl, not recognizing it, and carefully took the letter off of it's foot. She didn't know what to expect to be in the letter, it could have been from anyone. She unrolled the parchment and read the horrible letter. As Molly continued to read the letter, she began to shake and then to cry. The letter told her that Ron, Hermione, and Ginny had been injured in an attack on Diagon Alley. An attack on Diagon Alley, how, why when? Molly had so many thoughts running through her mind. Suddenly she dried her tears, made sure that she had her wand, and apparated to Hogsmeade.
Once she had made it to Hogsmeade, she carefully made her way up to Hogwart's, worrying more and more with each step. What were they doing in Diagon Alley by their selves? Where's Harry, was he there too? These thoughts continued as she made her way up to the castle. She knew that Harry had come of age, and thought that the others might have made arrangements to meet him in Diagon Alley to celebrate, but she couldn't figure out why they left without letting her know.
Finally, she made it up to the castle and into the Hospital Wing. But she couldn't find Ron. She had seen Madame Pomfrey, and asked her if they were all together, Madame Pomfrey had said that they were. Molly searched through the crowd of students frantically. Suddenly she spotted Ron's red hair. At that point she was grateful that her family had hair that was such an unusual shade of red, it made them easier to find in a large crowd. Molly ran over to Ron, and there found Arthur, Ginny, Hermione, and Harry.
" Oh, my!!" Molly began to cry when she saw Ron's leg in a cast, " Ron, are you alright?" Suddenly Molly noticed that Ginny was also awake. Molly reached over and carefully hugged her daughter " What were the three of you doing in Diagon Alley by yourselves? Didn't your father and I tell you not to go anywhere alone? But that doesn't matter, Are you all alright?" Molly realized that what they were doing there, wasn't as important as them being alright.

What had started out as a lonely day of escape had turned into a raging nightmare. Hermione was seated with Ginny, talking about different things trying to make each other feel better about what had happened over the last years, when screams and shrieks of fear destroyed their peaceful moments. She had looked at Ginny quizzically, but when she heard the bloodcurdling words of… “DEATH EATERS!!!!”
Everything seemed to slow down as the clerk in the snack bar cowered beneath the counter. Hermione had grabbed her wand and was heading to the door to see for herself, she couldn’t believe it could be true…Death Eaters attacking Diagon Alley? She was halfway to the door when the ground started to shake and she heard the low growl of a troll. Moments later the roof and two walls came crashing down on them, “Ginny!!” she managed to scream before a beam struck her head and she fell motionless beneath boulders, shards of wood and other debris that used to be the eatery.
When the Aurors and others who had gathered to the scene to help find loved ones came, it took them twenty minutes to remove the rubble and find the four of them inside, Ginny, the two clerks, one who had been in the kitchen, and Hermione. She was barely breathing and she had a terrible gash on her head from which blood was flowing. They were rushed to the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts seconds later.
It had been several hours since the incident took place and the Hospital wing was packed with the injured, some worse than others. Hermione lay in a bed beside Ginny Weasley, Ron was nearby but she had yet to wake up. She had received several injuries during the attack some more visible than others. Her shirt hid the huge wadding of bandages that were holding tight her three cracked ribs, her right arm was in a cast and suspended close to her body as to not affect her ribs, there was also a bandage around her head where the beam had struck her.
“Mmm…” she murmured as her head moved slightly, but she said nothing else.

Arthur smiled at Ron as he said all he had was a stiff neck. "I'm sure Madam Pomfrey will fix that up in a jiffy." he looked around consciously, wondering where the nurse had gotten to and why these three still had injuries. Yet, as he looked around, he already knew the answer. The Hospital Wing was over-flowing with students who had been injured in the attack. Madam Pomfrey most have been so busy that she couldn't properly heal their wounds, if she had even got around to them. Everyone these days were busy, he realized sadly. Dumbledore would be losing students now that their had been an attack in Diagon Alley and Hogwarts. New security measures would have to be taken. He felt sympathy for the old Headmaster but knew that Dumbledore was capable. Turning his attention back to the situation, Arthur listened attentively to Ron's explanation of it all before sighing. "Yes, there were Giants there. That's how most of these people sustained their injuries." Arthur replied slowly, looking around the room to emphasize his meaning of these people. All of Ron's school mates in other words. Arthur turned slowly in his chair to look in Ginny's direction. He was elated to hear her speak but was worried it might be a waste of energy. When she asked if there had been any deaths, he took a deep breath. What should he say to her? He didn't want her to get upset or even worse make her go through more pain. He didn't want to lie to her though... "We lost...some." he replied cautiously, weighing his words carefully. It was true that they had lost some people on the attack. He sighed once again and let his eyes become distant. "The Ministry is trying, yes. But so far, no leads." He turned his gaze back on Ginny who was telling her side of the story also. Arthur was very surprised to hear that Hermione had been the one who had gone out by herself, not Ginny. He sighed, knowing that he couldn't test Ginny's choice. So, instead, he said nothing at all, but merely looked down at his hands. He looked up when he heard a voice cry: 'Ron!' He looked up as Ginny said, "Hello Harry..." Harry stood there, checking Ron over carefully. Arthur let a true smile cross his face and he stood up slightly to hand Harry the clipboard. "Ron's injuries," he said with a nod, knowing that Harry would be very concerned over his friend. Another burst from the door and Molly entered the room looking very flustered. She was worrying over Ron and Ginny, who she lifted into a hug. "Now, Molly dear, they're alright." he said hesitantly, noting that his wife was on the breaking point with worry. He pulled the nearest chair over and pointedly looked at Molly, telling her silently that she could sit if she wanted. He then looked over at Hermione, who had let out a soft moan but then quieted. He decided not to speak to her yet; it looked as though her pain was causing her to not focus on much. He also noticed that her head was wrapped up just like Ginny's; Hermione must have been struck in the head also. He turned back and smiled at the group at large.

Remus Lupin paced uncomfortably outside the Hospital Wing in the Grand building that was Hogwarts. The thought of what lay behind the doors in front of him gave him chills, he could not bear to see the ones he loved injured and in pain. However, it was inevitable, there was too much damage done in Diagon Alley for it too have left his friends untouched. He ran his dry and calloused hands through his thick brown hair and then sighed as he gave a push on the large wooden doors. He was slightly taken back when he saw the numerous amounts of students inside, he had no idea that the damage from the attack was this enormous.
Lupins eyes scanned the room quickly before landing on the small corner in the back where several patches of red were now resting. He shook his head sadly before walking over to where Mr. Weasley and two of the Weasley children were. He noticed that Mr. Weasley was hunching over his head in his hands as he approached. He laid his hand gently on his shoulder and gave a soft squeeze, “How bad is it?” he whispered softly. Looking over he saw both Ginny and Ron among the other students, neither of which looked to be in that great of shape. Lying nearby, he noticed, was Hermione Granger who seemed to be in worst shape of them all. The profuse scowl on his face grew deeper and his heart wrenched in pain, he could not imagine how people could be so evil as to harm children.
He walked over to Ginny’s bed and laid his hand on her arm. The innocence in her face was prominent, even through the scrapes and bruises. Her thick red hair lay in strands down her shoulders and Lupin picked up a piece and stroked it softly. He felt horrible for not being in the Alley to protect her and Ron. The guilt began to swell up inside of him and he felt as though he were going to burst. With a heavy sigh he crouched down low and lay his head on Ginny’s bed, he would make sure that the Death Eaters responsible for this would pay.
Lupin spent several minutes kneeling next to the bed before he heard someone shifting beside him. He turned and to his relief Ron had awoken, and seemed to be his usual self- plus a few bruises. A smile crept across Lupins face, “I knew you’d make it mate,” he said cheerfully trying to lift Ron’s spirits. Dwelling over what was already done would not make any difference, they all simply needed to learn to be more cautious and no where was too crowded for an attack. Lupin stood for thinking for a moment and then realized that Ginny too had awoken. He turned and gave her a beaming smile, “That’s my girl, Gin, You were always a fighter.” Streams of relief washed over him as he realized that the two Weasley’s were going to be ok, however, Hermione still lay stiff as a board and Lupin’s worry increased.
Looking over, Lupin saw that both Molly and Harry had rushed in too evaluate the damage. He smiled uncomfortably at Harry and then to Molly, he could not imagine what they were going through.

Ron suddenly heard his name being called. Ron looked and spotted Harry making his way to them. "Hey Harry." Greeted Ron, "Glad you could make it." Arthur handed Harry the clipboard of Ron's injuries. Ron shrugged at Harry. "I'm not in that bad of shape, but I don't know about Hermione." Ron looked over at Hermione's bed. Shortly after Harry's arrival Ron looked to his father. "Hey dad, wheres mom?" As if right on cue the shrill and panicked voice of his mother filled the room. Ron sighed as his mother stepped up to him and asked about his leg in a worried tone. "Yes mom. I'm fine. It's just a broken leg, it's nothing."
Hermione finally stirred and gave a moan. Ron looked at her. "Hermione?" He asked but it seemed that she hadn't woken up yet. Ron turned back to the group when suddenly Lupin showed up. Ron was surprised that Lupin would find time to come and visit them. Ron flashed a grin and the thumbs up sign at Lupins greeting. "You know me. Can't get rid of me." Ron settled down a bit. All this moving around was starting to take its toll on his neck.

Hermione lay in a fretful mental state; though she wanted to wake up she just didn’t have it in her. The quiet of her mind was a retreat from all that was going on around her. She couldn’t hear the crying or the clamour of voices of family and friends visiting loved ones. Then suddenly, she heard her name… “Hermione” the voice was familiar, so familiar. “Mmm….Ginny?” she said in a low, barely audible voice, her eyes still closed. It wasn’t Ginny’s voice she’d heard but she was the foremost on her mind, she was the last person she saw before the beam hit her.
She was so tired, but she forced her eyes to move, they fluttered slightly before opening slowly. She didn’t move, or say anything, her head was spinning and her vision was slightly blurred. Where was she? She could hear the others in the room with her now, they all seemed jumbled into one huge roaring sound that was splitting her head into a million pieces. She wanted to scream for everyone to be quiet, but she didn’t she stared at the bed across from her for several seconds.
Her mind was a mishmash of images, hooded figures, screaming, Ginny and the sense of everything going black. What had happened? She couldn’t remember exactly but she was sure that Death Eaters were involved, at least she thought so, she was almost sure she had heard someone shout that before things got fuzzy. She put her hand to her head to try to somehow numb the constant aching and searing pain, but as soon as she did a pain worse still shot through her side and cried out in pain, the tears running down her face.

Harry was too focused on Ron and hardly noticed when Mr. Weasley said Hello to him. It wasn't until Author handed him the clipboard with Ron's injuries that he became fully aware of his presence. "Thanks" he said, distracted as he scanned down the list, then looked back at Ron. It didn't look like much had been done other than bracing the broken bones and recording the damage.
He heard Ron mention Hermione and he looked over at her bed, which was on the other side of Ginny, who was at least awake. Hermione was still on the bed, and was unmoved. He returned the clipboard to Mr. Weasley and moved toward Hermione, still in too much shock over the whole thing to think clearly, but he knew who was behind it, the same person who hurt everyone he cared about.
He stood beside Hermione's bed for a moment, looking down at her. She seemed to stir slightly, and then mumble something he could not entirely understand. "Hermione" he said softly, just before he noticed tears starting to stream down her face and she screamed out in pain. "Madam Pomfrey!" he called, looking over and trying to locate the Hogwarts Healer.

Molly had been sitting quietly between Ron and Ginny's beds, and had been glancing over at Hermione every few seconds, hoping that she would soon wake up. Suddenly Harry walked up," Harry dear! So good to see your okay." Molly tried to speak as softly as possible to Harry. She didn't want to wake anyone up, some of the students in here were more injured than others.
Molly sat and listened to Harry, Ron and Arthur sit and talk about the attack. Why, what did they get out of it, except for the obvious. She thought to herself. Molly wished that she understood why the Death Eaters had attacked Diagon Alley. And she knew that they would get to the bottom of it soon.
Suddenly Remus Lupin walked up. " Hello, Remus." Molly said calmly. She was surprised that Remus would have had the time to come down to the Hospital Wing. She thought that he would still be busy with the other situations at hand. At that point, Molly heard a soft groan. She looked over at Ginny, and Ron, it wasn't either of those two, so that meant one thing. Molly looked over at Hermione, she had been the one to groan. The next thing Molly knew, Hermione had yelled out in pain. Molly got up and walked around to Hermione's bed. " Lay back down, the pain is only temporary." She knew that Hermione would hurt for a while, but that she needed to relax. It would help the pain. Molly then heard one of the boys shout for Madame Pomfrey.

Normally Madam Poppy Pomfrey tried very hard to keep herself as orderly as possible. After all, being the Hogwarts Healer was a very important job, and the lives of injured students rested solely in her hand. She always make sure that her hair was neat, and her robes clean, but today, as countless injured students were moved into the castle and up to her healing wing, appearances no longer mattered.
She had rushed around, trying to brace broken bones and evaluate damages, sending the leaders of each house to keep watch on their students, then changing her mind about Professors Sprout and Snape, they were sent to get ingredients and other necessities they would have in their possession that would help restock her quickly emptying shelves. She did not have enough healing potions and tonics for all these injuries.
She heard her name being called and she moved to a bed where Harry Potter, a boy she had seen herself more than once, was standing over. She glanced down at the bed and remembered that the girl was Hermione Granger. There were too many students at Hogwarts to know them all by name, but she did remember those whom she had treated a time or two. She recognized the signs of a concussion immediately, and mumbled under her breath at her lack of potions for healing them. She only kept around enough for a few, and there had been too many students with such sever head injuries. She reached down and dug through one of the pockets in her apron, pulling out tiny bottle of liquid that was a rather sick orange color. She examined it for a moment then nodded. "Please step aside Master Potter, this shall help." She leaned over Hermione and pulled the stopper out of the bottle. "Now dear, you have to open your mouth for just a moment..." she helped to carefully part Miss Granger's lips before pouring just a splash of the liquid into her mouth.
Poppy Pomfrey then straightened quickly and put the stopper back into the bottle, dropping it back into her pocket. "It is a relaxant and a pain reliever." She stated to answer the questioning looks. "Do you need some as well Miss Weasley, or is your head feeling a bit better?"

(( I hope it's okay if I come in. If it's not, just let me know and I will delete this.))
Neville climbed the steps to Hogwarts after he apparated right outside the grounds. He had been spending too much time in hospitals now adays, and was seriously looking toward the day when these weekly visits would no longer be necessary. Now, he knew that that his parents were going to be long term residents at St. Mungos, but he did hope maybe he could bring them home once he got out of Hogwarts. Maybe he could bring home enough money to hire a mediwizard to take care of them at wherever he would end up. He knew he had the house his parents had left him, but knew he didn't' want to return there. He had held on to the property because it was his parents, not because he wanted to keep it.
Neville waved gloomily at a young Gryffindor who was sobbing nearby, probably crying at the death of a young friend or family member. Times were getting darker in the wizarding world. When two young wizards could pass each other in the hallway, both lost in their own miseries unable to console each other, it was a sad day. Passing the girl, he continued to listen to her sob. Unable to help it, he knelt down beside her own the floor and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Taken off guard, the girl looked up at him unexpectedly, shocked that the older Gryffindor would take time to comfort her. " It's okay. Is someone up there you know?" He pointed suggestively up at the floors to the Hospital Wing. The girl shook her head yes. " Well, let's go up there together, shall we?" The girl shook her head yes again. Removing his arm from around her shoulders, he accompanied her upstairs.
After a very silent walk, the two finally arrived at the Hospital Wing to hear the groans of the many patients that occupied the Wing. He swore he heard Hermione moan above all the others. The girl nodded a nod of thanks and ran over to that several younger students were huddled around. He looked down the aisles recognizing several people. There was Dana Coran, a Ravenclaw prefect, lying between another Ravenclaw and Cassandra Whats-her-name, a Gryffindor Beater who, according to rumor, had more than enough problems on her plate. There were a couple of Slytherins that he had run-ins with, looking very beat up and worse for wear. I guess their parents didn't sign the right contract with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, thought Neville bitterly.
Finally arriving near the crowd that had gathered near Ron's bed, he stayed quiet until Madam Pomfrey finished administering the medication she was giving. Nervous about interrupting, he stammered his hello. " Um, hello. Is everyone okay?" He fumbled in the book bag that he had slung over his shoulder. " Um, I brought everyone some Bertie Botts?" He noticed that some of them seemed to stare at him after his arrival. " I'm sorry to intrude, I was just worried and wanted to check on everybody. I was at St. Mungos when everyone began to arrive, and didn't see anyone. I found out they were being transported here, and I had to come and check." Neville tried to explain his sudden appearance, and why he was stumbling into the groups solitude.

((It's okay by me Neville.))
Hermione was in so much pain that she didn’t even realize at first that it was Harry standing beside her. She heard the call for Madame Pomfrey as she tried to move as little as possible. She looked up and recognized Harry, “Harry,” she said softly, breathing was painful, “I’m glad you weren’t there,” she mustered before Molly Weasley told her to lay back and that the pain was only temporary. Temporary as it may be, the pain was searing and Hermione couldn’t get passed that at the moment, despite her reassurances. Her face grimaced in pain, she looked over and saw Ginny, thank God she was okay.
It was only moments before Madame Pomfrey appeared at her bedside, and Hermione had never in her life been so happy to see the Hogwarts Healer. She asked Harry to step aside as she stood over Hermione with a vile of some orange coloured liquid in it. The look of it alone sent Hermione’s stomach reeling. She opened her mouth, her desire for the pain to stop stronger than the lurch of her stomach. Hermione was given a splash of the numbing, tongue-tingling elixir that had the strongest taste of iron. Her face showed her dislike for the taste as it moved down her throat and finally hit her stomach.
Hermione looked over as she heard Neville’s voice. The pain had not subsided yet, but Hermione was able to muster a weak, “Hello Neville,” her face grimacing with every syllable. She gave him the smallest of smiles as he said he had brought Bertie Bott’s for everyone. “Thank you,” she said softly, it was really sweet of Neville to come. The few minutes it took Neville to speak and for her to respond, the orange elixir started to work and her pain was easing some, at least it was making breathing a little easier. “Ginny?” she said looking over at her friend, her body beginning to relax from its tense state. It was then she spotted another head of red hair… “Ron?” she said in disbelief. She had no idea he was in Diagon Alley that day.

Ron watched Hermione slightly worried. She looked to be in extreme pain and she wasn't even fully awake yet. Ron watched her for a bit and she suddenly woke up. No sooner had she woke up than she began to cry out in pain and tears began to stream down her face. Ron was about to open his mouth but Harry beat him. "Madam Pomfrey!" Harry called. Almost as if she apperated there she was at their sides. She examined Hermione for a second and than gave her a small potion and Hermione seemed to relax a little.
Just as Hermione had been cared for Neville Longbottom approached them. Looked at him. "Neville!" Ron immediately began to shake his head. "No, no. Your not intruding. Glad you could make it down to see us." Before Ron could say anything else he heard Hermione. "Ron?" He looked at her confused expression. "Hello Hermione. How are you feeling?" She was no doubt confused because she had no idea he was in Diagon that day.
