"Now, don't worry about that. Jaquin and I always keep a secret.-he thrust his gloved hand in a fist to his chest- Your charms were perfect except for the lack of laughter," Perseus said kindly. "Just remember to laugh at the boggart right after you turn it into whatever you imagined. Laughter is what really destroys the boggart's confidence and it also causes it to become confused. You see, even in the darkest of times, laughter and elation can be found as long as you remember to turn on the light." With that, Perseus reilluminated the area with his wand. "You know, my boggart is actually pretty preposterous if you think about who I am...... Whenever I meet a boggart, it turns into Snape telling me that I had failed my N.E.W.T.s potions exam. Of course I havn't taken it yet, so, I just imagine him wearing the same old dress Longbottom kindly demonstrated in my third year. It's great fun to see Snape wobbling around in the vulture hat and dress." He chuckled heartily and waited for Jasmine and Mary to get up before resuming the investigation of the area.
Perseus looked around meticulously for any other passageway out, but, it seemed as if they had met a dead end. "Perhaps going back would be the best idea............." Perseus suggested. He then retraced his steps and motioned for his companions to follow him back out to where they had started.
The journey was not as eerie as before, but, the malodorous stench of rotting rats still thrived in the air. Cimmerian though it was, Perseus guided the way with his wand. Soon enough they were out of the accursed place and back next to the bench. He looked at his watch to see it read 9:45. This meant that they had been in there for only 45 minutes which shocked Perseus slightly.
