Elizabeth woke up to the sun shining in her face through the window by her bed. She looked at her watch. "Oh shoot! It's 9:45!" Elizabeth hurridley scrambled to her feet and stuffed the last of her belongings into her suitcase. She made sure she had her journal and her cat Spooky. Elizabeth put on the robes that lay on the floor by her bed, ready to go. She checked her watch again. It read 9:55. Elizabeth hurried down to the common room, out the door, and into the corridors, her cat running at her heels. "I'm going to be late!" Elizabeth checked her watch again and it read 10:05.
Elizabeth finnally found everyone. They were already leaving. She grabbed one of the last boxes and the parchment and ran to the line of dissapearing people. At last it was her turn. Elizabeth had never flown by floo powder, but she watched the other girl and Elizabth understood what to do.
She grabbed some floo powder and uncertainly stuck her head into the flames. Elizabeth held her cat tighter as she inserted her whole body into the fireplace. "Weinig Zug!" shouted Elizabeth, and almost instantly she was spinning around and around. She hunched her shoulders and tucked her head, while her cat scratched and clawed in fright.
At last the spinning stopped. Elizabeth stumbled out of the fireplace into a magnificent room that could only be in the castle that they were supposed to stay in. Elizabeth trid to pt her cat down, but the cat clung to her robes, refusing to budge. "I should've known better than ro bring you along." She looked up from the cat to survey the scene and saw her friends Katie and Brooke standing there together, evidentley waiting for her and possibly Justin, for she saw no sign of him any where. Elizabeth walked over to Katie and Brooke. "Hey guys! how was the ride?" Elizabeth's smile turned into a frown as she once again looked down at her cat, still managing to keep her claws firmly attached to Elizabeth's leg and robes.
