In the Common Room (Katie + anyone else)

Elizabeth stomped into the empty common room with a look of annoyence on her face. Elizabeth slammed her books down onto the floor and re - read the letter from home. "How dare her!" whispered Elizabeth angerly. "how could she do this to me?" She read the letter a third time tears now streaming down her cheeks. Elizabeth tore up the letter and threw it into the fire. She could not bare to look at it any longer. The letter was from Elizabeth's parents and they wanted her to return home because her sister Michelle had run away. There was a search party that had searched for her for two weeks already and could not find her. "Why? Why me?" Elizabeth looked up and decided to try and concentrate on her homework. She picked up her books and her quill, but all that came of her was a single tear drop that fell onto the open page in her book. Her cat Spooky jumped onto the couch and began to purr. Elizabeth looked at the cat and ran her hand down Spooky's soft black fur. "thank you Spooky you made me feel better" She whispered to the cat. Elizabeth got out her journal, stared into the fire and began to write down her feelings.

Katie was walking towards the Gryffindor Tower. She had been in the courtyard taking a walk and thinking of new songs. She normal went outside to think to herself. As she reached the fat lady portrait Katie was in a trance with her thoughts she didn’t even know where she was going.

"Password please" said the fat lady in a most polite voice that disgusted Katie.

Katie than looked up at the fat lady and ignored the way the Fat Lady would say that.

"Hollow" Katie said as the portrait swung open.

Katie entered the common and noticed Liz her friend crying and writing things down in her journal.
Katie rushed over towards her friend to see if she was okay.

"Liz are you okay" Katie asked sitting down next to her. She than noticed her guitar was next to her and she took it and held it the right still looking at her friend.

Elizabeth heard someone walk in the room, it was her friend Katie asking her if she was okay.
Elizabeth looked at Katie with her tear filled eyes " I got a letter from home." Elizabeth said in a choked voice. "I have to go home because... because... my sister ran away..." Elizabeth started crying again and turned away from Katie ashamed that she was crying.
"... They can't find her." Elzabeth turned back to her writing.
And in almost silent voice said "but they can't make me go back because I won't go." Elizabeth said it again in a firm voice "I won't go."
Elizabeth turned back towards Katie waiting for an answer.

Katie looked into Liz’s tearful eyes. Katie felt she was going to cry. She never had a sibling she wished she did. It would take care of the loneliness.

"You can stay and you can go it’s your choice but to bad your parents rant magic they could use the tracking spell and they will find her right away." Katie said in a disappointed look. Witches and Wizards aren’t aloud to magic in front of muggles unless you were a death eater and wanted to kill the person.

Katie than remembered her guitar that she was holding. She started to play so it could lighten up the mood.

Elizabeth listened to Katie's music' she let the music bring her away. Elizabeth suddenly jumped up and screamed "Katie your a genius! I can use the tracking spell to find my sister! right now, right here. Elizabeth smiled at the thought. "no one's here except us."

Katie than jump she wonted to get into some trouble. She smilied slyly at Liz.

"Already then lets good thing i have the spell in this book" Katie said taking out her book puting it down on the table and opening it to the tracking spell.

She took out of wand and skimed through the spell before saying the words.

Elizabeth watched as Katie skimmed through her spell book.

"I can't believe we're actually doing this!" said Elizabeth excidedly, thinking about her sister. "Ijust hope we're not to late."

Katie was humming to herself as she read the spell. She than started to speack but then an owl came swooping into the air and landed on the table. Katie took the letter that was tied to the owls foot and it was addressed to liz.

"Read it it might be something good" Katie said handing her the letter.

Elizabeth saw an owl swooping with a letter Katie picked it up and gave it to her. Elizabeth silently read the letter.

"It's from Michelle" Elizabeth said quietly. She ripped open the letter and read through.

"She's going home." Said Elizabeth in amazement. "She says that she ran away because she wanted me to come home..."

Elizabeth wondered why in the world she would do something like that.

"I have to write to her and tell her she has to stay home and that I'm not going back." Elizabeth said in utter disbelief.

Katie look disapointed she really wonted to try the tracking spell. But oh well her sister is going home.

"You should really tell you you can come home on the holidays and that kind of stuff" Katie said than taking a seat and flipping through the book for another spell to try out.

[liliane]

Lilane was in the dormintory, sitting and staring mostly. Just hoping for some type of excitement. She had heard people talking downstairs and was excited to see who it was. She had been alone for the past hour.

She walked down the steps and saw her friend Katie sitting there with another girl. Liliane hadn't known who she was. Lilane was excited to talk to Katie because it seemed like she hadn't talked to her in ages. Liliane approached the 2 girls with a bright smile, said hello to Katie and introduced herself to the other girl.

Elizabeth looked up to see a girl who had just come into the common room and said hi to her.

"Hello my name is Elizabeth" said Elizabeth brightly. Elizabeth was now in a happier mood since she heard from her sister. "care to join us?" Elizabeth asked as she pulled back her long hair into a ponytail.

Katie smiled slyly at the other two girls.

"Its time to try out my new idea" Katie thought in her mind continuing to smile at Liliane and Liz.

Katie reached in her pocket and handed them both a chocolate frog. Katie than look at them innocently.

"What's this?" asked Elizabeth as Katie handed her what looked like chocolate.

Elizabeth looked at katie with a curious look on her face and decideing to eat it she moved the chocolate up to her mouth and "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!" Elizabeth screamed as the the chocolate came alive and jumped out of her hand, onto the floor, and under the couch.

"what was that?!" asked Elizabeth when she recovered.

Katie laughed her prank worked.

"Sorry......" Katie tried to say in-between laughs.

"I thought you would have known by now that I am a prankster" Katie said continuing laugh her head off.

She wished that broke was their to laugh also. She was her partner in crime.

[liliane]

Liliane smiled and sat down next to Katie and Elizabeth. She was content being with them 2. Because of Liliane's younger sister, she enjoyed hanging out with younger people.

Chocolate frogs were Liliane's favorite. Liliane smiled and graciously accepted the chocolate frog. She looked at Katie and Elizabeth. However, Liliane was concentrating too hard on getting the chocolate frog out that once she got it opened the frog jumped out and got away. Liliane was bummed but laughed about it.

As katie laughed at the prank she had just pulled Elizabeth thought about how stupid she had been.

"It's okay... I should know by now not every thing is the way it seems." Elizabeth looked at Katie and also started laughing. She was glad she had someone to laugh with.

"But you do know this means the score is Katie one, Elizabeth zip. I will get you back. It's pay back time." said Elizabeth in serious tone of voice.

At these words Elizabeth started laughing again. It felt good to laugh.

"You would have to get back at me and Broke" Katie said with a sly smile.

"We are going to be the next Serious and James and Fred and George" Katie said with a twinkle in her eyes.

[liliane]

Liliane looked at both Elizabeth and Katie. She looked at them like she was about to cry, but she held back her tears. She was lonely and homesick. She missed her family. They have always been there for her to cheer her up when she was down, to make her laugh when she had failed a test. She missed them more than anything. Liliane didn't exactly have many friends, more aquantices than anything. Liliane wanted more than that. She wanted more good friends, for she only had a few. She hated being shy. Liliane looked down at the ground and wiped away a tear.

Katie than turned down her high energy and looked at Liliane and smiled a warm smile.

"Hey I know your home sick but this place is great you should really get to know Jordan, Kyila, Ivy, and Nokomis." katie said smiling. Those four people have gotten her to where she was.
