Elizabeth walked into the common room thinking about the people she had met that day. She was completley bored and sat down by the fire, pulled out her journal and began to write. Her cat Spooky walked over to her and sat down next to Elizabeth and began to pur loudly. "Spooky, could you please not do that I'm trying to write." Elizabeth said as she pat the cat on the head. She then went back to her writing.

After serving his last day of detention with Snape for "talking to Potter," he made his way back to the common room. It had the usual crowd of Gryffindor students, though a quick look around and he didn't spot Harry. He knew that his best friend had a lot on his mind these days and he guessed that he was probably off somewhere with Hermione trying to clear it. While his friend wasn't there, he did notice that there was a free chair by the fire, and that was a rare occasion, so he went over and fell heavily into the chair, glancing down at a girl he remembered from sorting as a first year.

Katie was just in the Courtyard thinking. She been outside for a while and decided to go back to the common room. She was mostly thinking about her mother’s funeral that will be head next month. She had already been to Jordan’s a fellow Hufflepuff third year who Katie befriend with a couple months ago. She really needed more Gryffindor friends but she only knew some people like Parvati, Liz, and Lillane. She really needed to get with the program.
As Katie walked up to the Fat Lady and asked her the password again in that annoying polite voice that really annoyed her.
"Hollow and can you at least say it differently it’s really annoying." Katie said walking into the common room. It was it usual self filled with people studding for test or just having fun. Katie than noticed Liz and Ron by the fire. Katie smiled slyly at them and walked over towards them. She than put one hand in her pocket to get something out.
"Hello Liz, Ron you won’t a piece of candy?" Katie asked innocently sitting down next to Liz and smiling at them.

Elizabeth heard someone come in it was a boy with red hair and he sat down next to her she knew imediatley who it was. It was Ron weasley, she knew because of his brothers reputation.
Again Elizabeth looked up it was her friend Katie this time. "no thanks i'm not falling for that again"
Elizabeth then looked at Ron "how do you do? I'm Elizabeth nice to meet you" Elizabeth wondered if he even knew she was there.

Katie looked at Liz hurt. She never did such a thing to her to make Liz a little skeptical of her.
"I never did anything Liz the candy just fine" Katie said smiling once again innocently at Ron.
"It’s looked like you just had detention wish I could have one but oh well...." Katie said trailing off. She always wonted one since she came here she would serve it with her partner in crime.
Katie chuckled to herself as she thought of things in her mind.

Hearing his name he looked up to see Katie, a first year he had talked to a few times before, he snimed slightly and nodded, glancing down at her hand after she offered him candy, candy was one thing he could never get enough of.
"What kind?"
It was then that the other girst year introduced herself and he nodded slightly.
"Ah, Hi, nice to meet you too, I'm..."
He started to let his voice trail off, realizing that Katie had said his name only a few seconds earlier and nearly everyone knew who he was because his best friend was Harry Potter.

Katie smiled at Ron she seemed to be enjoying herself. She smiled once again innocently at Ron.
"It's cherry and strawberry toffee I got it before I left to go to Hogwarts" Katie said as Ron took the candy eying it.
"Don't worry I am just a little sweet Gryffindor first year why would I do something to the candy." Katie said turning towards Liz. She winked at her and Liz knew what she meant.
Katie than looked at her guitar that was by Ron’s chair she put it there before she left for classes in the morning.
"Play it now" said a sharp voice in Katie’s mind.
She just continued to eye it for a while. She than couldn’t take it anymore she grabbed it and held it the right way.
Katie looked up at Ron as he ate the Toffee Katie started to chuckle as some zits came onto his face. Katie than played her guitar trying not to make it noticable what she did.

Parvati entered the common room and saw Ron, Katie, and Elizabeth. She smiled and looked at him, and gasped.
"Er, Ron. Katie what did you do?! Dillion is one thing! But Ron?! Honestly!" Parvati exclaimed as she placed her bag on an empty chair and took out a mirror. She handed it to Ron, her hands on her hips, glaring daggers at the first year. She didn't care for pranks, in fact she really usually ignored them, but Ron was in her year, and she couldn't let him walk around with zits all over his face now could she?

Katie than burst out laughing like she said she was learning form the best.
"Sorry Parvati hey how did you know about Dillion that was at Jordan’s mother funeral?" Katie asked a bit confused.
She continued to look at Parvati as she glared at her.
"Oh come on Dillion got rid of the pimple I think Ron will" Katie said once again bursting out laughing. She was getting out of control right now.
She try to imgaine what Jrodan, Dillion, or Brooke would be doing once they noticed her pranks.

"Katie, Jordan and I, we are artists...we discuss things over butter beers and pumpkin juice when we are drawing." Parvati said as she sat down with a 'humph!' She looked at the first year, sighed and saw Jordan in her eyes.
"And yes, I suppose Dilion did get rid of them, Ron could too..." Parvati said with a sigh, she pulled out a package of twizzlers and handed the pack to Katie.
"Want one?" She asked, tilting her head in wonder.

"Ahhh no thanks got my own candy right in my pockets I just have to know which pocket to get it from...." Katie said with a sly smile.
She looked at Ron as he looked shocked at Katie for pulling a prank on a 6th year.
"Hey I might even pull a prank on Draco Malfoy I am not scared of him" Katie said staring off into space thinking of a prank to do on him.

"Suit yourself, more for me..." Parvati said as she bit into one. She didn't realize what was happening. Jordan had given her the twizzlers. She wondered why.
"Pranking Mafloy? Are you crazy?! Do you want to die at 11 Katie?" Parvati asked her, her eyes quizzical as she continued to eat the candy.

"I have a plan and its perfect" Katie said taking candy from her pocket and checking it and eating it. Nothing happened she was relived she grab the right candy.
"Sorry about the prank I am practicing for my ultimate prank on some two Slytherins" Katie said with a sly smile.
"Just tell me if I am going to far" Katie siad taking her notbook and writing a mental thought down in it.

Elizabeth started writing again as Katie started talking about pranks and Parvati saying how ridiculous she thought they were. Elizabeth agreed with Parvati. She thought pranks were so childish and uncivilized, but still she did enjoy laughing with Katie about the pranks that Katie pulled. Elizabeth stared into the fire and decided that she better get used to being ignored by Katie because Katie had so many friends. why would anyone want to spend time with a loser like me? Elizabeth thought to herself. Elizabeth wondered weather she would ever be popular and outgoing like Katie. Elizabeth found herself wanting to be just like Katie. After a while Elizabeth stopped thinking about how much better she could be if she was more like Katie, closed her journal and walked towards the girls dormitry to retire for the night. With one last look at Ron, Katie, and Parvati Elizabeth ran up to the dormitry and went to bed, for she knew she had a long day ahead of her.

Parvati watched as Elizabeth left them, tilting her head Parvati got up and followed the first year up to the dorms. She called her good nights over her shoulder to Ron and Katie and continued up the stairs. She entered the dorms and saw Elizabeth laying in bed...
"Elizabeth? It is Elizabeth right?" Parvati asked as she took a step farther into the room.

Hearing her name called, Elizabeth sat up quickly and lokked around the room to see who it was. She then saw Parvati by the door.
"yes thats my name" She paused and continued
"um... well... everything is okay, but..." Her voice trailed off as if she was thinking deeply about something and thought about the question. "Its just... I seem to be alone alot lately." She looked at Parvati waiting to see if she would go back downstairs or reply.

((Katie, you have to make sure not to God-Mod. That means you only put new actions for your character not for others. Stating in your post that Ron was eating the candy is a mild example of god-moding))
He was finding the laughing rather confusing when Parvati came over and handed him a mirrior. Looking at it, his face started turning red, all the way to his ears, and he stood there not saying a word, and was reminded once again why he had decided he didn't like first years.
"Thanks Parvati, I have to go meet Harry."
He turned quickly and started off towards the door that lead to the boys dorms, glancing over at Elizebath who seemed to have the same idea as he did and giving her a slightly crooked smile before contiuing.

-Sorry Ron got a little to carried away. Well maybe allot becareful around Katie you may never know what her next trick will be ;D-
Katie watched as Paravti go up to the girl’s dormitory. She didn’t want to go just yet she wanted to stay by the fire and just chill down.
She than noticed Ron turn red and she could tell that he wasn’t going to trust her anymore. As he left Katie stayed were she was. She tucked her legs under her and rested her head on her knees.
Katie was thinking about what just happened that day before. She snocked into Hogesmade and talked to Jordan about her father and she tried so long to hold back the tears. Jordan said she could cry whenever she wonted to. Katie wished she was in Hufflepuff with her. Katie could talk to her even more and Jordan will also talk to her.
As Katie raised her head from her knees she than looked into the fire and watching the it dance. She took a deep breathe and tried not to cry. A couple of tears went down her check and she than rested her head on her knees as she was left alone once again. Katie closed her eyes trying to hide the tears.

Parvati smiled meekly and sat down on the edge of Elizabeth's bed. She looked at the younger girl, and smiled warmly.
"Well, I get that feeling a lot also. If you ever need anyone to talk to...I'm here. Just down the hall." Parvati encouraged her.

Elizabeth managed a weak smile at Parvati.
"Thank you." Elizabeth said.
She knew that a lot of people really cared about her even if she was quiet and shy a lot of the time. Elizabeth looked down at the floor and then looked back up and said "I'll be fine, really I will. But thanks for your concern."
Elizabeth knew what she had to do, she had to go back down stairs and talk to Katie. She couldnt just sit there and act like a grouch, she had to apoligize for being so uptight.
"I'm gonna go ack down stairs, you wanna come?" asked Elizabeth.
