Augustina Perry walked into the Hufflepuff house common room for the first time. She just stood there, looking around and memorizing how she had gotten there. She glantzed around, wondering if these people, total strangers now, would someday become her friends. She sat on the couch with one of her favorite books, an old mystery book in hand. She didn't read it, but instead just laid it on her lap,deciding she could read it as a last resort if no one wanted to talk to her, and was left alone. She just looked around, examining how the other students acted, and tryed to decide whether she'd fit in or not.

She should probably have been studying, but decided she should meet a few people, since she didn't really feel like studying now anyway. She did wonder when and what the classes would be like.

The school year was almost over and she could hardly think anymore. All she wanted to do was quidditch, and after months of pouring all of her free time into it her grades were starting to reflect it. It wasn't that she was a bad student, but she had nearly stopped studying so she could put that much more into the game. Now though, if she was to get passing marks, she had to study.

She decided to go to the common room to brush up on her charms before her next class. She piled a few books, and roles of parchment into her arms and headed down, just peeking over the top of the time. As she walked toward one of the couches though, something caught her toe and before she knew it she was tumbling forward.

She stayed on the ground for a moment, her face down to the floor before she rolled over and looked up to see someone was already sitting on the couch and had seen her fall. She could feel her cheeks turning red as she wished more than anything she could just disappear.

"I...um....I....." She wanted to say something, but words just would not come.

[Sadie Rivers H6]

Sadie had been sitting in her usual seat, the same one that she had been in when her and Nokomis had first met. She noticed that Nokomis had fallen, and had run over to check on the fellow Hufflepuff. As she got there she noticed the other girl.

" Hi, name's Sadie, I'm a first year. " she said to the girl. She didn't know if the girl had heard her, but she was glad that she had finally found the courage to introduce herself.

Augustina realized a girl was walking toward the couch, and before she knew it, the girl had fallen down. Augustina knelt down beside her. "Are you ok?" she asked before adding, "Here." she said standing up and offering the girl her hand to help her up.

Augustina looking to her left to notice someone else there as well. She listened to her. "Nice to meet you Sadie. I'm Augustina, I'm a second year." she said with a smile to the girl. It seemed that making friends would be easier than Augustina had thought. The question that ran through her mind was whether they'd like quidditch also.

[Sadie Rivers H6]

Sadie smiled at the girl. "Nokomis, is your foot okay?" she asked. She knew that Nokomis had a quidditch game coming up, and didn't need a hurt foot. Sadie enjoyed watching her friends play quidditch, but she didn't know much about the sport.

[Nokomis Astarra H5]

She was still on the floor when she saw someone else walk up. She could feel even more color rising to her cheeks, and she glanced over to see who it was. It was Sadie. She had met Sadie just a little bit before and thought she was very nice. It was then that she realized the other girl was offering her a hand. She smiled sheepishly and took to offer using it to help pull her to her feet.

"I'm fine...just...clumsy maybe. Good thing Quidditch is played on brooms."
She blushed again, not knowing what else to say. The other girl introduced herself as well and she smiled, trying to cover up how embarrassed she was.
"I'm Nokomis Astarra. I'm a second year too. I um....I am captain of the quidditch team."
After she said it she wished that she hadn't it sounded so out of place, but she didn't know what to say. That with the fact she wanted Augustina to think she was at least good at one thing after she managed to fall simply walking across the room, just made it come out.

Augustina pulled her up so that she was on her feet. She smiled reassuringly. "Trust me I know a thing or two about being clumsy." she said with a slight laugh, and listened to what Nokomis said next. "It's nice to meet you Nokomis. I really like your name." she told her with a nod, thinking it was interesting. She was also happy that she had met two people already who were both so close to her age. They both seemed very nice also, which was good.

She knew how embarrassed she herself got, so she tried to make Nokomis more comfortable. "Wow really? I love quidditch. That's awesome that you are the captain. You must be really good." she said, stopping herself from going on and on about the sport. She probably could've went on forever, but she contained herself.

[Jordan Elizabeth Cortes]

Jordan entered the common room, in a rather happy mood. She wasn't bouncing off the walls as usual, but just cheerful. Her brown hair was down and silky, something it hadn't been in days because of the heat, and her brown eyes were twinkling you could see hazel in them. She walked in and dropped her shoulderbag on the table near the entrance, kicked off her heels, and walked over to the fire. Which was still roaring despite the blasted heat outside. She stared at the flames for a moment or two, completely unaware of the three other girls around.

"Oh, hello there!" She said in her cheerful, honey sweet voice. She sat down and looked at them. She knew two. Sadie and Nokomis, Nokomis was the captain of the Quidditch team. Pretty good at what she does too, Jordan had to give her points to that. Note to self, send Nokomis good job basket with cookies and stuff... She thought with a smile.

"What are you all doing inside? It's such a gorgeous day out!" Jordan exclaimed happily, but dreamily too. She was always day dreaming about one thing or another, whether it was about school or life after school or the realisation that she would one day have to live outside of HOgwarts. She couldn't help it. The end of the year was getting to her, with all these seventh years around...getting ready for the real world.

[Sadie Rivers H6]

Sadie looked up as Jordan walked in, " Hey Jordan." She said smiling. " I was on my way out, but I decided to introduce myself to Augustina, trying to take the advice of that guy that we met at the lake." She continued. " Is it a really pretty day? I haven't been out of the common room yet." She asked, and then turned to sit down. She gently sat on the big fluffy chair close to the fire, and then took down her wavy red hair. Her hair bounced as it fell on her shoulders, but it was tangled, and needed to be brushed.
