The third year had some money, though she was in no way royalty among the wizarding world. She was acceptable though, and with proper training she could learn now to make the most of her opportunities instead of floating along as she was, hopeless lost somewhere between the powerful and those who wished to be.
"I mention so many because one's estate is important. Winters in London, Summers in Romania, I only go to the L'Viv once a year, Paris in the spring, and then I have a place in Milan that I stay in for fashion week. When you reach the upper class, what you have matters more. Blood is important, as are morals and personal views, but material possessions show the world exactly why you are worthy."
Her gaze remained focused on Mary for a long moment, remaining silent just long enough to let her know that part of their conversation was over with. "Now, What have you planned for summer? Location, social events, things I might actually care about."

Mary raised an amused eyebrow at Danika as she pointed out the importance of letting others know of your status. “But then it looks as though you are trying too hard. And those who must try are obviously not important. I am a firm believer that if you are worthy it will be obvious in every aspect of your being. If you must try and prove yourself then where is the class in that? All it means is that you believe others are above you so you must try and make them believe you are level.”
“Summer time will actually be rather hellish to be honest. The only things I really have planned are my birthday ball, attending Dawn’s birthday party, and visiting Kris in Rome for two weeks. I am assuming you know Kris Graas right? Very dear friend of mine, more like a brother in fact. Pyro Blackfire will also be staying with me this summer, and my cousin Jeremy will be visiting as well. Don’t expect you to be acquainted with him though. He is, at present, in his fourth year at Durmstang and my parents believe he will be a good influence on me. And yourself? How is your summer looking?” Mary asked after her own babble.

She let out a less than thrilled sigh as Mary try to speak of status and class and the relation between the two. Mary had obviously not spent the amount of time with the right kinds of people if she did not understand the differences in approach. "You misunderstand the context. When you are asked by one of status something that involves material wealth, they are trying to decide if you are worthy of them. Class no longer matters, instead it is a tasteful competition of social standing."
She listened casually to Mary's description of her summer, nodded slightly as she placed the faces she knew and forgot the names of the people she did not. She waited until she was asked about her summer before she responded with her own series of events. "The week after school will be in London, getting ready to spend the summer in Romania mainly. Then there will be weekly trips to Milan, I have 4 gowns being designed there and tailors need constant attention. Then of course, Dawns party, Summer Witch Fashion in Paris then back to London."
