Samantha nodded at Liam's comment, forcing herself not to raise an eyebrow. He was much too polite. Must have been rich or something. She shrugged.
"Really, it's no problem and we never let her too far alone... you have no idea what sort of pedophiles there are out there," she said in the most serious tone her body could manage. Mathew shook his head and sighed slightly.
Mathew smiled at the boy, wondering if the kid really had been brought up to be this polite, or he was just a natural "suck-up". It didn't quite matter to him at the moment so he stood, Samantha doing so also. He grabbed the car keys from the kitchen counter and started out the door. Claira's smile was ear to ear as she looked from her father to Liam. She took hold of his forearm and rushed him out the front door after her parents. Mathew slid into the driver's seat, Samantha in the passenger and Claira jumped into the back seat, looking at Liam to join her.

Liam could do nothing but nod. He could not think of anything that would be appropriate to say. Really, he did know that they speak the truth. It was that way in the wizard world too. Liam watched as Claira's parents stood and her father grabbed his keys.
Liam had no choice but to follow Claira as she grabbed hold of his arm. Liam waited as she got into the backseat of the car. Once she had been seated, Liam sat in the seat next to her and waited for them to reach their destination.

Mathew thought for a moment, where should they go? He turned to his wife with a gleam in his eye. He smiled, she smiled back. Claira started to bounce up and down excitedly in her seat, wanting to leave. The engine roared to life as Mathew turned the key in the ignition. Samantha and him shared the same idea. The Zoo. Claira wanted to go to the mall first, but decided to keep her mouth shut. Mathew backed out of the driveway and onto the street.
They drove down the street toward the zoo. Mathew didn't turn and look at Liam as he suddenly asked a question, keeping his eyes on the road, "So Liam, ever been to the London Zoo?" he asked, planning that if Liam had been to the zoo he would turn around and go somewhere else...

Liam waited as the car backed out of the driveway and started driving down the road. He watched the many house go by the window and he felt kind of odd riding in a car with people he had just met, but he was comforted by the thought that he had his wand in his pocket and he could use it if he had to.
When Liam heard Claira's father ask him if he had been to the London Zoo before, he turned his head to look back to the man. "Well, Sir, I can't remember going to the London Zoo, but it does sound like it could be fun," Liam said as kind as possible. "I have been to the zoo in Tokyo, and New York, and they were fun, I think the lions they had were the most amazing creature's they had." Liam hoped that he did not sound like he was bragging.

Mathew was surprised and rather impressed that the boy had been to Tokyo and New York. He smiled, "Well to the Zoo it is then," he said. Claira smiled, she loved the zoo. Usually her baby sitter took her, but this was a nice change.
They drove down toward the zoo, cars passing them and others going in the other direction. They drove passed the mall and other buildings that Claira did not recognize. When they finally pulled into the parking lot of the London Zoo, Claira was out of he car in seconds. Her parents followed. They walked up to the front desk and paid for their tickets. Mathew motioned for Liam to follow them inside and they walked through the gate.
