Before I start as the new Quidditch Captain of the school year 2001-2002, I just want to thank Celia again for everything she has done for the team! We will miss your presence in our ranks, Kathryn. Another thank you must be made to Ruth for her outstanding work as Seeker! As well, everyone welcome our new Vice, August!
These are the final standings for the year just finishing:
Final Standings:
1st: Gryffindor with 340 points.
2nd: Hufflepuff with 330 points.
3rd: Ravenclaw with 200 points.
4th: Slytherin with 190 points.
Well, we came third, that's not too bad. We actually beat Slytherin! *cheers* So you should all be extremely proud of yourselves. Once again, thank you for all your time and effort in our matches and practices.
Anyway, with graduates leaving, we need to assemble a new (and improved!) team! I have sent out two PMs to prospective Ravenclaw Quidditch players, so hopefully we will have more than eight members (and one is also likely to leave, sadly, so we'll need all the players we can get!).
At the moment, these are the positions I have for our players:
Theo Darke R7: Chaser/Keeper
August Reid R6: Keeper/Chaser
Ephraim Eades R7: Beater/Keeper
Edward Summers R6: Keeper/Seeker
Sandy Hart R5: Seeker/Keeper
Evelyn Winter R5: Seeker/Chaser
Woodrow Winchester R4: Chaser/Keeper
Matthew Dorm R3: Chaser/Beater
Williard Thoth R3: Seeker/Chaser
If you would like to change your preferred positions, now is the time! Looking at the running order, we have an overwhelming amount of Keepers, so I would urge you not to change any of your preferred positions to Keeper. However, if you want to drop Keeper, you have my full blessing! What we are obviously lacking in most is Beaters - we only have two (E and Matt), and although that is enough to fill the main team, we will need at least one more to be safe. E and Matt, I urge you not to change from Beater - we desperately need you! It is likely that if no one else changes to Beater, or if new players are not Beater, that you will be the main team Beaters. One more Seeker wouldn't hurt either just in case someone rolls bad stats, or one more Chaser, but I would not like an influx of these, please.
As for main team and reserve team placements: Williard, you will remain on the reserve, especially considering Williard is one of the youngest anyway. Theo and August, for obvious reasons will be on the main team. E will also be on the main team. Their positions have not been determined yet until I receive feedback from you all. Everyone else depends on who else auditions, what positions they want and how much you want to be on the main team.
I am aware one of you will likely be dropped next year, meaning we do not have a full team at the moment. If we don't get any more auditionees, Williard, you will make the main team, as will everyone else. If this happens, I expect all of you to do your best and participate in the matches and practices, because we need every experience point we can get and every win! There would be no reserve players to back you up so everyone has to play a role.

). Basically, August can do whatever. Except Beater. I played Beater for a year and it did not go over well with his character. I could even do Seeker if needed.
