Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid. It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.
You're a 90's kid if:
You can finish this [ice ice _ _ _ _ ]
You remember watching: -Doug -Ren & Stimpy -Pinky and the Brain -AAAAAAAH Real Monsters! -Rockos modern Life.
You've ever ended a sentence with the word 'PSYCHE!'
You just cant resist finishing this . . . 'Iiiiiiin west philidelphia born and raised . . .'
You know what im talking about if i said 'Dear Ashley....Thaaaats me!!!!!
You remember: -TGIF -Step by Step -Family Matters -Dinosaurs -Boy Meets World.
You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons. And staying up Saturday niight to watch snick to see the original All That and Kenen and Kell
You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
You remember reading 'Goosebumps'
You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.
You still get the urge to say 'NOT' after (almost) every sentence ... not
when everyhting was settled by: -rock paper scissors or -bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or -daddy had a donkey inky binky bonky.
when cops and robbers was a daily activity.
when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb.
when we used to obey our parents
You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time.
'Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?' was both a game and a TV game show.
Captain Planet. He's a Hero.
You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together.
You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genisis became popular.
You always wanted to send in a tape to America's/Australia's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny.
You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 , and 3 . . . and tried to pull the pranks on 'intruders'
You remember watching: -The Magic School Bus -Wishbone -Reading Rainbow on PBS.
You remember when Yo-Yos were cool.
You remember those Where's Waldo books.
You remember eating Warheads.
You remember watching: -the 1st Batman -Aladdin -Ninja Turtles -3 Ninjas movies.
You remember Ring Pops.
You remember drinking Surge, and Tang.
If you remember when every thing was 'da BOMB!'
When they made the new lunchables so that you could make pizza AND tacos.
You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.
Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them.
You played and/or collected 'Pogs'
You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere. one word. . . Furbies.
You have n't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.
And Windows 95 was the best.
You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.
Michael Jordan was a king.
YIKES pencils and erasers were the stuff!
All your school supplies were 'Lisa Frank' brand.
You remember when the new Beanie Babies and Talking Elmo were always sold out
You collected those Beanie Babies.
Carebears
Gak was the coolest stuff invented.
Lambchop's song never ended.
The old dollar bills.
Silver dollars, which were cool to have.
You remember a time before the WB.
You collected all the Troll dolls
If you even know what an original walkman is.
You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.
You've gotten creeped out by 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?'
You know the Macarena by heart.
'Talk to the hand' . . . enough said
You always said, 'Then why don't you marry it!'
You went to McDonald's to play in the playplace.
You remember playing on merry go rounds at the playground.
Before the MySpace frenzy . . .
Before the Internet & text messaging . . .
Before Sidekicks & iPods . . .
Before MIKE JONES . . .
Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX . . .
Before Spongebob . . .
Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.
When light up sneakers were cool.
When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.
When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.
When we recorded stuff on VCRs.
When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off of our walkman.
When checking out drawing books and that one book about the RANIBOW FISH from the library was THE cool thing to do.
You had slap bracelets!
When every girl had the spice girls songs memorized
When every girl had a picture of backstreet boys or N'sync on their wall and they would kiss it every chance they got
Way back. Before we realized all this would eventually disappear. Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!! Forward this if you remember these days . . . . put the subject as the year u were born in

Oh my god, I remember most of those things! And I guess most of the things I don't were more American things...either that, or I was a seriously uncool kid. Probably both. Meh.
And I'm guessing that it's American, seeing as it's "Where's Waldo". Here it's "Where's Wally"...I think...yeah. I get what it is though.

Oh my.. I wanna cry. I miss the 90s so much! Everything was so much simpler then. Ice Ice Baby... *sings* Annnnnd Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down. And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, and I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air. In West Philadelphia born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chilling out, maxing, and relaxing all cool and all shooting some b-ball outside of school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good, started making trouble in my neighborhood. Well, I got in one little fight and my mama got scared, she said "you're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air." I begged and pleaded with her the other day, but she packed my suitcases and sent me on my way. She gave me a kissin' and she gave me my ticket, I put my walkman on and said "I might as well kick it!" First class, yo this is bad. Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass? Is this what the people of Bel Air livin' like? Hmm... this might be alright! I whistled for a cab and when it came near, The lisenceplate said "fresh" and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought "nah, forget it, yo, homes to Bel Air!" I pulled up to the house about seven or eight, And I yelled to the cabby "Yo home, smell you later!" Looked at my kingdom I was finally there, To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel Air. *takes a deep breath*

*applaudes Mack*. Now, that was one show I could never stand, but I must congratulate you for reuniting me with that theme tune =). Those good old days when The Simpsons was on BBC2, at 6pm, for 20 minutes, followed by Fresh Prince...those were the days =).
*Hums Simpsons theme tune and loads another episode*. Damn you Channel 4 for making it last 30 minutes...damn those adverts!

I'd like to point out that before Backstreet Boys or N'Sync were cool there was New Kids On The Block and Boyz II Men. Now they were 90's!

New Kids On the Block! OH MY GOD! That's like early 90s! Awww...
and for the record...
I never liked Backstreet Boys or N*Sync.
I did, however, worship Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Wow.lol TV back then ruled! I was one of the kids who got up faithfully every Saturday morning to watch Fox Kids. Bobby's World, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and BIG BAD BEETLE BORGS! I dont know if anyone remembers that, but that show was the stuff. I collected Pogs to.lol Snick was great too, I loved Alex Mack. Now on Saturday mornings I see my little sister watching 4Kids Tv. With that fairy show, linx club or something like that, and a bunch of other lame stuff.
Sega Genisis was the stuff too! I had the Power Ranger Game, and the original Sonic, and Street Fighter. Those were good times. I also remeber the casette tapes when I would sit in front of the radio all day just to catch my favorite songs.lol
Anyone remember when Power Rangers the movie first came out? I swear I was the first one at the theatre.
Anyone remember that show when that guy could turn into like a human sized bug or something and he would go fight monsters. I think it was called Max Power, or something like that.

I did like my fair share of those four artists... God, I worshipped Britney in those days. Brings back memories I don't really want to remember, yet at the same time they're so nostalgic.

WOW! I love this post xD I still tell me little sister (we're 5 years apart) that the Disney Channel isn't what it used to be everyday. Anyone remember So Weird, The Jersey or The Famous Jett Jackson? Looking back, they're kinda funny, but then, they were AWESOME! Anyone remember the original Fox Kids or One Saturday Morning on ABC? And Nick! The Secret World of Alex Mack and All That! My mom hated that show with a passion saying it was the most retarded thing on television, but she takes it back now that she has to sit there as my sister watches shows like the Suite Life of Zack and Cody... Hehe, I have to get up everyday really early to go to school so I still get to watch The Fresh Prince of Bel Air every morning on Nick at Night. I miss when The N used to play some of the old shows like that. At least we still have Sabrina the Teenage Witch (the first three seasons, before it switched to UPN in the middle of the day.) When ever I was bad, my punishment was not being able to watch TGIF, which was horrible, since I only ever got to watch cable at my Grandma's house... she used that against me all the time - "No Sabrina and Boy Meets World this Friday unless you make your bed now!" hehe... the good old days...

God I think I was like seven when those shows were popular. I used to be so scared to watch So Weird, but my older cousins always used to make me. And I used to love the Famous Jett Jackson. I remember how upset I got when they started playing it really late at night, but I watched it anyway. Disney Channel was called Zoog Disney back then wasn't it? And I used to idolize Brittney Spears. And I am guilty of owning a Backstreet Boys poster....although it's been collecting dust in the attic along with a bunch of other 90's stuff. I MISS THE 90'S!! Doug and Skeeter were my two favorite characters of all time. And I missed Ren and Stimpy so much that I bought the whole first season on DVD. And of course, I also have a bunch of Disney tapes from way back then.

I think that Zoog was part of Disney channel - kinda like a show line up for older kids. And the movies back then were called Zoog Movies and there were robot characters to introduce all the shows and stuff. Even the older equivalent of Playhouse Disney wasn't as crappy with Winnie the Pooh and Out of the Box - hehe I forgot Saved by the Bell! I used to actually watch that with my mom cause it was one of those shows that kids could watch even if the parents got more out of it (some of the episodes were about anorexia and the likes.) And Recess! And Pepper Ane! And Things That Go Bump in the Night! And the Disney Channel movies were GOOD back then! Don't Look Under the Bed, Halloween Town (the first was awesome, the second was pretty good, but after that they needed to STOP!) and Quints! I know here were some other ones that were pretty good. And I actually bought Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers just cause there hasn't been a better cartoon to date. ;D *I MISS THE 90s!!!* There should be a station of all the old shows - maybe Nick and Disney should partner up for that one hehe

You think being a 90's kid is bad, I can remember the last two years of the 80's, so I've got that going. And I remembered everything on the list up top, and I moved around all the time as a kid, so now I feel rather old again. But I used to love watching So Weird on Disney channel.

I was born 1990, which means I am a 90's kid!!!
Ahhh!!!!
I've never had so much fun reading a post!! I miss the 90's! Back when I shared a room with my older sister and had to go to bed by 8 o clock. I remember when summer came around and it would be light outside at 9 and my mom would still make me go to sleep. Haha. I loved Saturday Mornings!!! I literally woke up every Saturday just for Looney Toons!
I also admit that I loved Britney and N*SYNC. I loved Lance the most.
Oh my goodness!!! This is too much. So many memories... haha

Well I was going to sing the 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' song, which, for the record, is now stuck in my head, but Mack did it for me.
And yes Wynd's right, New Kid's on the Block and Boyz II Men was definitely a lot earlier. Of course I also remember 98 degrees, BSB, N SYNC, and the rest of the boy bands that made their grand appearances.
"Fire! Earth! Air! Water! Heart!" "With your powers combined I am Captain Planet!"
Yes I remember that show...hell I was a super fan of it. Along with Rainbow Brite, which I don't see listed. There was also Lady Lovely Locks if anyone remembers that. Hey WYND! My Little Pony!!! Remember when we watched that this summer together! Well sorta together! haha...
Just for the record I still own about 50 pogs...they're the cool ones though, like the slammers, and the shiny/sparkly ones. Also most of the skull and cross bone ones I collected. Yes I'm nerd.
All right that's enough stroll down memory lane for me. I'm such a 90s kid though, but not a big fan of the music really, well not all of it. I'm a bigger fan of 70s and 80s music than 90s. Although I do still own about 7 N SYNC CDs. Shhhh...don't tell anyone.

Shhh!!! Do you have to tell everyone?! Anyway, My Little Pony is the 80's not the 90's. There is a TV network here in the States called The-N and they are bringing back Saved By the Bell! I'm so excited!

"Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight. Never running from a real fight, she is the one named Sailor Moon." - Of course, the original Japanese version is ten times better. Nah. I liked the lollies. They weren't part of my every day, so I actually don't remember them. Hell yeah, and now imagine how I feel seeing everyone wearing leggings and calling it a "new style."I point out that I started that trend, and they all look at me like I'm crazy. Of course, that particular style was more cerca-80s. Owned every single book. And FYI, that's a lot. Not to mention, I actually succeeded with the club thing. Actually, I do believe that's more mid to late 80s. But yeah, I remember. I used to love them, and then one day I just got annoyed and ripped them all off. Nah. Pig tails were my thing. Wouldn't say it's profound... Again, more 80s than 90s. Nah. But I loff him anyway. Great music. Sad day indeed. And they hurt. And the darker "Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack has a knife knife knife stuck in her back back back. She cannot scream scream scream, she cannot cry cry cry..." Still do. Fanny PACKS. As in chai tea? If you wanna be my lover... They were fantastic. Still own a few. That's actually... like... 40s or 50s. I actually remember wanting to go see the ball drop in my city, and my mom didn't want me to go to it because she was afraid the world really was going to end. Silly mother, apocalypses are for the year 2012.

Seeing as I'm not American, some of these things will be beyond me. XDThought I'd copy Viv lol.-first anime ever to become a hit in America: Sailor moon Woo, Sailor Moon! I remember watching it as a kid. It wasn't on frequently and it wasn't that big a hit with British kids, but I think it was probably the first anime I ever watched that I can still remember avidly. *sigh* Sailor Moon brings back so many memories.I remember when it first came out over here, but it wasn't very big and I didn't really watch it myself. I was more into Pokemon and Digimon . Oh, and Cardcaptors =).-you bought lollipops just for the sticker or tattoo that came with it Either Britain didn't really have such things or I wasn't into them. I think it was a mix of both. I have a vague recollection of stickers and tattoos coming with crisp packets...I dunno if they had stickers with them over here...though tbh I didn't buy lollypops often anyway. -It was cool to have scratch and sniff stickers ...Ya what?Ditto Viv-cell phones first came out.. (they were HUGE don't forget the antenna that came with it. ) Mobiles. Yep. One day they didn't exist, then suddenly they were everywhere. I don't get how I never noticed their uprising. It was like they appeared out of nowhere for me.I remember them being around in primary school, they were probably around a lot longer, but, like Viv, never realyl noticed them.-You wore biker shorts under your skirts and felt stylish. I had no fashion sense. Wouldn't know even if Britain had this kind of style. No way =). Rarely wore skirts anyway and would'n't've ever worn shorts with one. Apart from the dreaded gym shorts & netball skirt *shudder*.-You watched the Pound Puppies. Ditto with this programme.Never heard of it =).-You yearned to be a member of the Baby-Sitters Club and tried to start a club of your own. Ditto.I remember reading some of the books, but never really wanted to be in the club or anything.-You owned those little Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls Heard of 'em, but I believe they were after my time as a kid. *frown* Or maybe they came out later over here. I never thought they were that big a thing.Never head of 'em.-You know that "WHOA" comes from Joey on "Blossom" and "How Rude?!" comes from Stephanie on "Full House". *is completely clueless*Umm...no...I didn't...-Two words: M.C. Hammer. Heard of... No knowledge of.Ditto Viv-If you ever watched "Fraggle Rock." Nope.Ditto Viv-You had plastic streamers on your handle bars. Seen them, very cute, didn't have 'em.I think I did, I can't remember now...on the bike I had when I was about 6-8.-You can sing the entire theme song to "Duck Tales." The what?Nope, never heard of it.-You wore a ponytail on the side of your head. No, I never did. I didn't have any sense of fashion, like I said. But it was common, for sure.Nope, I don't think I ever did. I don't really remember it being common, ah well.-You wanted to change your name to "JEM" in Kindergarten. *shakes head from cluelessness*Jem :S. No idea what you're on about =).-You remember reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and all the Ramona books. Nope.ditto Viv.-You know the profound meaning of "Wax On, Wax Off". I certainly don't. Lol.Ditto Viv...not sure if I really wanna know either =).-You wanted to be a Goonie. ...A what?My thoughts exactly Viv.-You ever wore fluorescent clothing. Never. Ho no.Nope, don't think I ever did...-You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off. I've seen pictures, that's why.Ditto, he's just gone reaaaaaaaaaallly weird now :S.-You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf. Always. But I didn't question it... I just wondered and accepted it as a way of Smurf life. XDI remember watching the smurfs, I can't remember if I ever thought about that though =).-Barbie and the Rockers was your favorite band. Barbie and the whosers? What the...Barbie had a band :S. Ohhhhh no :S.-You thought She-Ra and He-Man should hook up. Something like that, I guess. I've never heard of the former, lol.Never head of the former, don't know much about the latter, so no.-You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged friendship bracelets. Well, friendship bracelets weren't in when I was in primary school. I missed the era, but some people were still so into it. No, I never had them and never believed in them. Wow, something I didn't believe in that was moronically childish.I never exchanged friendship bracelets...mainly beacuse I couldn't make them lol. I probably did think I'd stay good friends with some childhood friends for ages though, but none of the friendships lasted. Ah well.-You owned a pair of jelly sandals Nope, but I saw them around.Yes, yes, I remember having them but don't remember anything about them.-You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates. No, I didn't have my first ice-skate till I was pretty old... We don't have my ice-rinks around here.I've only been ice skating the once, and that was only about 2 years ago or so, so I don't =).-You ever got seriously injured on a Slip 'n' Slide. I assume that's like a slide? I've never been seriously injured, lol. Apart from when I fell backwards in the playground and hit my head on the pavement. Hm.No idea what a slip'n'slide is, so I'll have to say no. I don't think I had any serious injuries when I was younger. Apart from falling and cutting my head when I was about 3, but nothing to do with a slide.-You have ever played with a Skip-It. Heh. A whatsit? No idea what one is...I've played with a skipping rope, if it's anything like that...-You've gone through this list occasionally saying "awesome." Um...errr no.-You remember Popples. Come again?Nope...-"Don't worry, be happy." That still exists as one of the most annoying phrases today.Agreed. And the song's annoying too I find =).-Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack, all dressed in black, black, black, with silver buttons, buttons, buttons, all down her back, back, back" SHE ASKED HER MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER FOR FIFTY CENTS CENTS CENTS TO SEE THE ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS JUMP OVER THE FENCE THE FENCE THE FENCE" he jumped so high high high he touched the sky sky sky and he didn't come back back back til the forth of july ly ly he jumped so low ow ow he stubbed he's toe oe oe and thats the end end end of the elephants show ow ow I'm sorry. You were saying?Ooooooooookkkkkkkkk...-You know all the words to Bon Jovi. No, but I like his music! But that only began recently, lol.Last I heard Bon Jovi was a band/singer, not a song...in which case which song do you mean, and if all of them how can you expect anyone to know all the words to all their songs :S.-Watching the ORIGINAL Rugrats and mutant ninja turtles Yep, did that. I hate the Rugrats. I hate the pictures.I remember watching Rugrats quite often, for some reason I was quite a big fan. Never really watched the turtles though...but the original was HERO turtles not NINJA turtles! *hums themetune*-Two words... Trapper Keeper. *nods in pretend understanding*...ok then...-You remember reading "Goosebumps" Heard of them, they were everywhere, but I never read them because I hate horror things and just stayed well away.I remember them being around but never read them myself for some reason. Was more into other books, though I can't remember what.-GAK and the many scents Eh?Riiiiiiight, ok then =)-You thought Brain from pinky and the Brain would finally take over the world No. I really didn't. I thought he looked like a slimy, disgusting cartoon rat. XDErrr no. Just no. I couldn't stand that show, if I remember rightly. Either that or I just didn't watch it much.-Bum Bags, or Fanny Pax whatever you called them. ...Right.I had one, think I still have it somewhere, but didn't wear it much. -You collected tazos. They sound vaguely familiar... Evidently I didn't collect them...I remember them being around I think...from crisp packets?
