I am not too sensitive! You are being mean about something I'm sure only I care about at all (unless anyone here is actually properly dedicated to the newsroller, which I somehow doubt... go on, prove me wrong... see, knew you wouldn't). As if whether you appreciate the newsroller matters at all to Alex! He only posted up here because he wanted to boast about his *cough* dodgy *cough* psychic powers.
Therefore it is most certainly directed at me, much as I don't deserve it! Or at least, I didn't until I... *coughs* No, that's for me to know and you to find out.
((By the way, I really can't spell that word either. You should've seen the number of variations I tried before giving up and just copying yours)).

You can't spell "psychic" either? I find that totally impossible to believe. You, Izybel, cannot spell "psychic". *shakes head whilst walking away* I don't know what the world is coming to... Or maybe I'm just a spelling freak... *frown* EDIT: Nope. I have come to the clever conclusion that it is not I that is a freak. Oh no. It is just everyone else that is stupid. *nods sagely to self and goes off to talk to my inner conscience...*

No, you're not really a spelling freak. At least, I'm just as much of a spelling freak as you. (Heck, it's me that will throw a tantrum over a single spelling or grammar mistake not being corrected).
It's just, that word... and the associated area of study... I get really mixed up with where to put all the letters.
I've always had one word I frequently got wrong, mostly because I couldn't see the logic of where the letters went... such as having trouble with 'tomorrow', writing it as 'tommorrow' instead. I got rid of that one by remembering it as 'To the morrow'. Then there was separate. I've always said this as 'seperate', and that fits in with words like 'desperate' so much better. But it's spelt 'separate'. That always seems quite wrong to me, but I've had to learn it. My teacher used to say 'there's a rat in separate', so I have to remember it that way.
But I can't think of any way to remember where to put the s and the y and the c and the h.

Lol, yes, I actually know whatcha mean. "Psychic" is really hard to spell, as is "Psychology". You should've seen Lucy's version. I was shocked, to say the least. Plus she can't spell "families", "dessicated" (can't blame her for that, must admit), "presence", "absence"... her spelling has just gone down and down and down. One I find annoying is "accommodate". I know there are two c's, but I sometimes forget the second m. Plus there is this strong impulse to replace the second o with an a. Lol. One word that EVERYONE spells wrongly and it really, reeeeally annoys me, is "definite" and "definitely". Gah. Everyone puts an a instead of the second i. What else is awfully difficult to spell? Why don't we test everyone's spelling on the site? *evil grin* But that's kinda impossible, cause when spelling the word for them to read so they know which word to spell, they'd see how it's spelt already. Lol.

Lucy's spelling is not great at all, to be honest. It's simpler words than that which she gets wrong, especially when she's writing in a hurry. But there we go. You'll just have to proofread the typed-up version, just in case. I dunno whether I can spell that one or not. Definitely... haha. I've never seen that one spelt just with an 'a'. What a huge number seem to think is that it's spelt 'defiantly'. So we get things like 'She was defiantly not happy.', which of course has a rather amusingly different meaning from 'She was definitely not happy.' At least, I was amused the first time. The more I see it now, the more it annoys me. I wish people... didn't get confused. It's about as astonishing that they do get confused, for me, as the difference between 'Prefect' and 'Perfect' which I've also seen getting confused a great deal. It isn't impossible. We could give them a spelling test on Dragon's Roar, and then get them to PM the answers. Of course, we wouldn't be able to check whether they were cheating or not... but I would hope that the vast majority who bothered doing it wouldn't cheat. And the difference between American + English spellings would still have to be factored in... I mean, if it's said in an American accent, does that mean you have to spell it the American way etc.?

Well, the good thing is that Lucy isn't writing any of the magazine - apart from the recipe. That reminds me; I'll have to make her send me that so I can proof read her spelling... *sigh* We have a problem already anyway, as I already mentioned to you. I can't open half of the files the girls have sent me because I have the old Word, etc. Not to hurry you, but it'd be great if you could send me one of Alex's works (the chosen one, that is) this weekend, if you have it. I'd like to read through it properly, and send it to Lucy. We may not have every article, but she can make do and start with the ones she has. I suppose with the instance of perfect/prefect, perhaps it was a typo. I find myself typing the weirdest of things when I'm not concentrating. Heh. We could; but it's so tedious. XD Unless you were doing a spelling survey of 4Houses. And why would we want to do that? The American and British spelling differences would be a factor too, yes. You can't ask people to spell in a particular one, because it's not as if you and I know how to spell Americanised English. I only know the obvious ones, like "color", "anyways", "traveling", etc. I don't know them all...

Either you weren't listening whenever I told you, or I'm imagining having told you. (In fact I definitely told you, last night on MSN). I'm sending you both of Alex's things, both the long one and the short one + a poem (so that creative writing doesn't lose the space that we really do need for a longer creative writing bit if you do choose the shorter one this time). *nods* I told you that last night. I can remember when it was that I told you, thus I'm pretty sure it did happen. *nods* But it doesn't matter that you're being forgetful, you have every right to forget what I tell you haha. Anyway, I'll be sending you both as I said. Alex is emailing me her updated versions of both (I've talked to her on the phone today and she's written down the changes I've asked her to make, which are things like a sentence I think she could add in to the shorter one which I think would be nicer for her if she did in her own words, and trying to make the other one have slightly longer paragraphs rather than lots of separate lines, so that it'll fit onto one page a tiny bit more easily along with the 'Think you can write what happens next?' bit) this afternoon. (Just in case you got lost, it's 'Alex is emailing me her updated version of both this afternoon.', with a whole load of rambling in brackets in the middle). I know it takes slightly longer, but I'm aiming for the end of today because I want Alex to be able to take pride in the finished piece of writing as her own as much as possible - therefore the larger things I've directed her to change. If I don't get it this afternoon, you will still get it, just with the changes made completely by me rather than partially by her. Hmmm... well, it was you that suggested a spelling test in the first place. And it wouldn't have to be that tedious. It wouldn't matter if people did badly. I personally think it would be quite a brainteaser to have to switch between American and British spelling - for people from both places! And brainteasers are good for you, you know...

And you didn't listen to me (not last night though). I want you to CHOOSE between them; tis your job, me dear. So there's no point sending both to me. You have a whole page to work with, you could even put both in. *shrug* Well, if you wanna put this brainteasing spelling test into practice, do so. AND WHAT IS THIS BLASPHEMY PASTED ALL OVER THE SCROLLER?!

No, can't put both in because one is very short and the other a whole page. You seemed to like the idea of me sending you both options last night when I mentioned it, actually... but okay, I'll just send you one if that's what you want now. Do you think anyone would actually do the spelling 'test'? Hehehehe. Well, I do have to write it in terms of Ivy rather than in terms of Izy. Why, which bit do you disagree with?

I'm sorry; I was very tired last night, probably didn't see anything wrong with what you said to me me. *sigh*
I think you should make it into a competition. See who has the best spelling on the site. XD
Which "bit"?
¬¬
Every bit about me. Though even if it is supposedly "bad" comments, I feel privileged to be mentioned up there. *smug smile*

It's okay. *nods* I'll just send you one page rather than two. Well, we could make it into a competition but then people might be tempted to cheat by looking words up... which would be bad. Plus we'd have to think up a prize... ooh I know! We could have them appear on the next episode of Dragon's Roar and have to spell things out on the show. *looks very excited* Haha, I bet that Mack would be less than delighted by the idea. She likes doing interesting things on DR, not boring Izy spelling tests. (Yes, that means go listen to DR now if you haven't done already!) Well, you did pretty much say that you had never appreciated it anyway, having already posted up here. So it's all based on truth... I think you don't understand the meaning of 'privileged', in that case. Privileged would be if I put up there 'Everyone tell Aurora that we love her and that she musn't be put on inactive!'

Can't you predict whether it's going to have changed or not? (Though it's nice to hear that you do! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know that there's someone out there who actually feels it's worth taking about half the time I put in trying to get it to fit on one line (not that I've been doing that with my rambly rants) to bother reading the thing... )

Hey, not fair, I asked the question first, you should answer it!
Um, no... I don't particularly. Do you really get the impression from me that my friends make me feel warm and fuzzy? I'm not a very 'fuzzy' person... I mean, I don't go around hugging you all tight, do I? It's not that I don't greatly value you all as my friends - I do, very much - but I don't have to get a fuzzy feeling in order to care about you all, surely?

*pat* Don't worry Izy. You didn't expect me to feel fuzzy about you guys, surely? I'm okay with hugs - more so than you, that's for sure - but the only person I enjoy hugging is my brother. I suppose I am quite a fuzzy person - when it comes to romantic relationships. Generally I stay away from physical contact meself... So yeah. I do get that, cause I appreciate al you guys too.

*pats back irritably* It was you who first frowned at the idea of not making me feel warm and fuzzy inside, silly.
