I'M GOING TO SEE KEANE!!! WOOOOOOO! Admittedly not until January 31st, but still, I'm really excited now . Just thought I'd let you all know . I just hope the site I got the tickets from (as Ticketmaser wasn't letting me through) is as reputable as the guy I'm going with says. And before anyone gets any ideas, like most people I've told have, I'm NOT going OUT with him. Even my own mother asked whether we were going as "just friends" or if it was a "date" :S. But then again I have a feeling she just wants me to get a boyfriend . Not much else to report, not heard from any other unis yet (though I'm gonna check my e-mail now). And I have a couple of bits of homework to do for tomorrow (plus magazine article, sorry Viv), so I should probably get offline. Though some of the work I need the computer for (ie maths coursework). And I hope you're feeling better now Viv, and whoever else is ill .

that's awesome Celia! I honestly don't know who that is, but that's probably cuz I'm only half awake right now. Or maybe I just seriously have no clue who that is. But it's so weird..it's like eleven thirty here and I just woke up. I dunno what happened. It was like seven and I was sitting on my bed on my computer typing up a post and then....I woke up and it was eleven thirty. I don't even remember falling asleep. I think I might have even dreamnt I was at my computer while I was asleep. Weird, huh? I'm so tired I think I'll have to use spell checker to make sure I didn't mispell every other word I wrote. For all I know I could just be writing jibberish right now. I'm going back to sleep now, but I just thought I'd share that with you all before I did. Can you guys tell how freaking delusional I am right now?

This is for Kia, but I thought I'd share it with everyone too. I really should make my charries' music playlists! But anyway, this song is one of Ostuka Ai's (Aurora's avatar person) biggest singles in Japan. It puts me in such a romantic and sad Rora mood. ><
Daisuki Da Yo by Ostuka Ai
English Translation:
It seems a waste To reminisce about you Because I want to keep you mine and mine alone. I don't really wanna remember you I mean, it's embarassing Grinning to myself. Even though you were late coming home Tired from a late night You picked me up in your arms Even in my dreams, I knew it.
I miss you so I couldn't feel anymore helpless I miss you so I'll always love you.
Did you know, What I wished for That night When we went for a drive? Did you know, That I saw our happiness In the sky we looked up at together? You took this one 'me' laying there Made her beautiful and were always there for me. I miss you so I don't wanna be any further away from you I miss you so I'll always love you.
I miss you so I couldn't feel anymore helpless I miss you so I'll always love you.
I will always, always and forever I will always love you. la la la.

Because I'm in an Otsuka Ai/Aurora mood, so I've been listening to her songs non-stop. These are two of the songs from one of her TV shows, 'Tokyo Friends' (not very good, tbh, but great music). Hane ari Tamago(The vid is the basic storyline 'Tokyo Friends'.)To MeAnd holy crap, school starts tomorrow and not all of my work has been done, lol. Bah. History will just have to be done in my free.

Haha, I forgot about this thread! And...I guess quite a lot of stuff's happened. Half term's been and gone (unfortunately), but it was good while it lasted for several reasons. I could, and probably would, ramble on and on and on for absolutely ages so everyone got fed up of me (if they haven't already) about what happened, especially one (fairly major, imo) event. Basically I met the guy I'm going to see Keane* with, and had a good day. Otherwise... -I got 2 university offers . From my last 2 choices, but whatever. -I read all of a Richard Dawkins book which I'm proud of as although it was small the writing was tiny and hence took ages Actually, that's about it. *Keane=English alternative/rock band. Famous for "Somewhere Only We Know", more than anything else I think. They've just released their 3rd album (which I LOVE), hence the tour. 94 days . And as you can tell, I'm still really excited =). uk.youtube.com/watch?v=j0kp-FjpdGASecond song from their new album, called "The Lovers Are Losing (though not surprising if you listen to the lyrics)...one of the ones most like their older stuff. It's an odd album really, especially the first song which is completely different. I would've put up the real vid, but it didn't work (said it was no longer available probably copyright or something. So yeah, not a real vid, but you can find that on youtube if you're interested.

This is rather pointless to say, but I came home today and burst into tears. *shrug* Odd, how girls' hormones can work sometimes, huh? xD @kat: It sounds like The Killers, lol. The frontman's voice seems to have changed a little, as has their style of music. I prefer their old stuff, but it's not bad.

Ok, so I'll admit, I only read this thread for the music... With that said, I ended up buying that song from iTines, Kat. I did like Keane's Somewhere Only We Know, so I gave this one a try too. It's good! Now, for my own suggestion. This song is FREE on iTunes this week. Normally, I get the free songs of the week and listen to them once, only to let them rot in my iTunes vault of music. But, not this one! Can't get enough of this song. In fact, it gave me the inspiration for the new charrie who is on his way. Have a listen, and if you don't like it, *shrug* It's ok, it's my favourite song for now and perhaps I don't want to share it with anybody else anyways. Band: Glasvegas Song: Geraldine Lyrics: When your sparkle evades your soul I'll be at your side to console When your standing on the window ledge I'll talk you back, back from the edge I will turn, I will turn your tide Be your Sheppard I swear be your guide When you're lost in the deep and darkest place around May my words walk with you home safe and sound When you say that I'm no good and you feel like walking I need to make sure you know it's just the prescription talking When your feet decide to walk you on the wayward side Climbing up upon the stairs and down the downward slide I will turn, I will turn your tide Do all that I can to heal you inside I will be the angel on your shoulder My name is Geraldine, I'm your social worker I see you need me, I know you do

Yay, glad you like that song . And yeah, their style has changed quite a bit, but I still really like them . And I really like that song Adam, it's got a good tune and lyrics, though the singer's voice is pretty odd. Oh, and after all the hassle with driving lessons in the summer, I've FINALLY got round to booking another driving lesson! Wednesday evening, 6-8 (I think, they do a 2 hour lesson the first time, first hour free). Not looking forward to driving in the dark, but at least I have a lesson sorted. I didn't mention on the phone that I'd already had some lessons, though maybe I should've done. The woman I spoke to sounded...odd. I dunno how exactly...but anyway, I'm happy now . In other news...not much. Literally only 2 of us at dancing this morning as there's some cometition thing this weekend, so that was a waste of time. We were going over Ballroom techniques a bit, which is pointless as our exam was 2 weeks ago and we won't be doing ballroom again till...about February, I guess. But whatever. School's been...average I guess, not too bad. Speaking of which, I should probably go and start on my hw now.

I'm moving this thread to General Thoughts. I think that's where it really should be. Anyway, in relation to what I said in the movie thread, here's 'The Blower's Daughter' by Damien Rice, then '9 Crimes'.

Re-named the thread. @rosaliz: Love them, they're great! Gotta share three songs I absolutely love at the moment. First one's probably been out in the US for a while, but no matter. I just love the tune and surprisingly, I love the video. Second is just such a feel good song with a really catchy tune. And the last is The Script again, who I know Fiona loves. Another great song from them, and I love the lyrics so much I've posted them up too. Enjoy~ Beyonce Knowles - If I Were A BoyTake That - Greatest DayThe Script - Break EvenI'm still alive but I'm barely breathing Just prayed to a god that I don't believe in Coz I got time while she got freedom Coz when a heart breaks no it don't break even Her best days will be some of my worst She finally met a man that's gonna put her first While I'm wide awake she's no trouble sleeping Coz when a heart breaks no it don't break even, even no What am I suppose to do when the best part of me was always you? What am I suppose to say when I'm all choked up and you're OK? I'm falling to pieces, yeah I'm falling to pieces They say bad things happen for a reason But no wise words gonna stop me bleeding Coz she's moved on while I'm still grieving And when a heart breaks no it dont break even, even, no What am I gonna do when the best part of me was always you? What am I suppose to say when I'm all choked up and you're OK? I'm falling to pieces, yeah I'm falling to pieces, yeah I'm falling to pieces I'm falling to pieces You got his heart and my heart and none of the pain You took your suitcase, I took the blame Now I'm trying to make sense of what little remains Coz you left with no love, with no love to my name I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing Just prayed to a god that I don't believe in Coz I got time while she got freedom Coz when a heart breaks no it don't break even No it don't break, no it dont break even, no What am I gonna do when the best part of me was always you? What am I suppose to say when I'm all choked up and you're OK? I'm falling to pieces, yeah I'm falling to pieces, yeah I'm falling to pieces I'm falling to pieces Oh, it don't break even, no Oh, it don't break even, no Oh, it don't break even, no

... I just realised - I might not survive until December 8th. Tomorrow... I am going to miss the first 45 minutes of choir because of the interview technique workshop. This Thursday... I am in Bristol... no String Orchestra for the second week running (missed last week because of the talk). The Thursday after that... I am going to be at the Nuffield Celebration Day presenting my project for a CREST award so... no String Orchestra for a third week running. Sarge is going to kill me!!!

Ok... so when I heard this song, my mind instantly thought of Viola Hudson. So, if you've posted with Vi, tell me if you agree (or if you play Vi, let me know if this is a good match for your character ).
